Can I use a Jio sim in international roaming?

I came to Italy 3 weeks ago for official work. Like everyone in India, I also have a Jio sim. But I don't use it much. Inserted jio sim in phone for airport transits in Delhi so that I can have connectivity while am in India, as I left my regular number at home. Used it for day with 1 day small recharge of 17 rs. Also Recharged with 20 rs balance for return.Landed in Italy. Switched on the phone. Got welcome sms from jio. Please note, applicable Standard International Roaming Charges :Calls within Italy : Rs. 2 /min.Calls to India : Rs. 2 /min.Calls to any other country : Rs. 100 /min.Incoming calls : Rs. 2 /min.Mobile Data : Rs. 0.02 /10KB.SMS : Outgoing Rs. 2 /sms, Incoming FREEAbove charges will be applicable, if you have not opted for Unlimited IR Pack. Please visit http://tiny.jio.com/IRinfo for International Roaming pack benefits. To check, I called home. Asked my wife to call me to test incoming. I started my WhatsApp to test Internet.Everything was working. International Roaming with only 20 rs balance. And still after all that testing 15 rs balance left. Amazing, isn't it?Right now, writing this post from Italy using JIO Internet. Now I am thinking of switching my regular Idea number to Jio.Edit :Now I am in France. Got the same smsPlease note, applicable Standard International Roaming Charges :Calls within France : Rs. Please visit http://tiny.jio.com/IRinfo for International Roaming pack benefits.call and internet working just fine. One thing to remember though, you must have any local Indian base pack active. Any. Even single day pay works. So, activate 19 rs day pack and enjoy international roaming in just 2 rs/min.EDIT 2 :No, I never activated any International (IR) pack from JIO. It just started working with 19rs/Day pack and 20 Rs balance in SIM. If you are planning to use it for month, recharge with any local regular plans (149 one month, 398 three months) plans.

Why create an email newsletter?

I answered a similar question recently. To summarize, the reasons for creating an email newsletter — and the reasons why it’s such a popular marketing strategy today — are:High return on investment,Low costs compared to other marketing channels,Wide sphere of influence, andMore targeted than other channels. But just to clarify, email marketing isn’t necessarily the right choice for all businesses. Sometimes it’s not the right fit for your target demographic. And it’s not a stand-alone strategy. Newsletters are usually most effective when used alongside other marketing strategies, such as social media marketing and content marketing. Also, if it isn’t done properly, it can be a massive waste of your resources. Before you launch an email marketing campaign, make sure you have:The right audience. In my experience, it works better to generate your own recipient list, as opposed to buying one. Bought lists are often of low quality, compared to organic email lists comprised of people who have actively expressed an interest in your content/service/product/brand.The right content. Invest in hiring people who know how to craft a good message. People receive hundreds of emails daily, and you don’t want yours to get lost in the shuffle. To avoid being classified as spam, or recipients clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ button, make sure your content is designed to provide value, not just grab attention. The right tools. There are many available tools for every step of the email marketing process, from sending messages to tracking open and engagement rates. At Tenfold, we’ve designed a system for capturing and integrating customer data from all platforms, like phones and email. That kind of data is crucial in order to assess if your emails are working, and to develop content customized to customer behavior and preferences. If you want to see how it works, just check out our brief demo video.Hope this helps!

How does Wi-Fi internet access in an airplane work?

There are types of WIFI on planes( some are US only )Air-To-Ground (ATG) - delivers peak speeds of 3.1Mbps, using cellular-based technologies. It operates in the 3GHz spectrum, beaming 3G signals from the ground into the sky from over 200 towers within the U.S. and Canada. 1,500 commercial aircraft use this somewhat obsolete system, likely including those old MD-80s on their way out to the desert.ATG-4 - the next generation air-t0-ground technology, launched in November 2012. American, Delta, U.S. Airways and Virgin America have this on a select number of their planes. It bumps the potential connection speed up to 9.8Mbps by using a directional antenna which more-efficiently captures the beam being sent up from the tower at ground level.Ku - Rather than having an antenna mounted to the bottom of the plane, receiving a signal from the ground, it is actually a 12-18GHz band within the microwave frequency spectrum. For Ku connectivity, an antenna is mounted onto the top of the plane, under a radome. The antenna transmits data rates at 10-30 Mbps to the aircraft. Gogo Ku is currently installed on 15 international Delta Air Lines planes, and some Japan Air Lines planes as well.Ground to Orbit (GTO) - a hybrid technology that Gogo( a in-flight connectivity and entertainment provider for Alaska, American, Delta, United, U.S. Airways and Virgin America) unveiled last September, promising speeds of 60 Mbps or higher, for planes flying in North America. It uses a combination of a satellite antenna on top of the plane to receive the signal and the ATG antenna under the plane to return the signal to earth. So technically, it's Orbit to Ground, but that's not nearly as catchy. During a speed test demonstration, download speed peaked at 46.52 Mbps.2Ku - the next generation of connectivity. Gogo says it will deliver speeds topping 70 Mbps. It uses dual Ku antennas — Thinkom's ThinAir Falcon Ku3030. One antenna will receive the signal and transmit it to the aircraft, while the other will transmit the return link to the ground. It will also go on top of the plane, under a relatively thin 17cm high radome. The radome height is important, because the higher it is, the more fuel-burning drag it creates.Note-all these are ideas by Gogo as i think answering in US context is bestmore or less just rephrasing from hereHow In-Flight WiFi Works And Why It Should Get Better

What are the best answers for "Why should I hire you"?

Following happened last week during my interview for internship at Microsoft.A little background - It was the third round of interview, which was the HR round. I had performed well in previous two technical interview rounds. But being a non computer science student with no experience with any projects or internships in programming, I had faced my difficulties in answering questions that demanded previous projects/experience.Interviewer - So, Sumit, this is the final question for you. Why should we hire you? Why Microsoft?Me - *thinks for a moment* Sir, shall I give you the answer that I prepared or shall I give you an honest answer?Interviewer - I can listen to them both.Me - I will start with the one I prepared. Sir, you should hire me because even though I do not have any prior experience, I do have the ability to learn and perform. And whatever would be expected of me at Microsoft, I would certainly deliver it with my best abilities and hard work.Interviewer - Impressive. And what’s the honest answer?Me - Sir, 19 years ago, Microsoft created a game named Age of Empires. I am sure you have heard the name. And it’s more than just a video game. It actually requires you to think analytically and come up with the best combinations and timings of your army units to win. Sir when I was really depressed last year, I used to play this game day and night. I used to look up to this game as a challenge. I did all the research, I knew all the civilizations and the best algorithms for all the maps. Sir, not only this game saved me from doing something stupid, it also kept my analytical thinking alive. Had I taken some other bad habit to vent out my depression, I would have thoroughly screwed my life. Sir, I want to create something so simple and yet so amazing like that game. And that’s why Microsoft should hire me.He had a wide grin on his face by the time I ended my short speech.Interviewer - Sumit you are certainly creative. Any questions for us?Me - Am I selected? He gave me the most wonderful smile and said “It’s a yes from my side, we will just have to look at your technical rounds performance.”And later that evening, my friend Ayush Tabhane woke me up from a deep sleep after a long day as he shouted “Microsoft results are out. You’re selected!!!”

Are you sure you are going to heaven?

No, nobody knows…We think we do because of what is written in the Bible. The “Christian” Bible (anyway…) gives us the rules to enter Heaven-“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.But here is the caveat- how do we know we “truly” believe? Most preachers brainwash us into thinking that all we have to do is “confess”, yes, that will do it… I hate to burst everyone's bubble out there, but there is a little more to it than that. Most “Christians” (I myself also being a Christian), believe that a simple gesture of faith is all that is required, and many will argue this fact till the world ends, so it is useless wasting your breath on them…Do you know what a “simple gesture of faith” is? The early Christians did. It mean that to declare your allegiance to Christ, meant a death sentence; most times in a very horrific way! And there are still places around the world that this still holds true today. These people who die for their faith are truly the ones who believe! Most of us do not realize the severity of the situation that we are in. We are here on Earth because we are of the Damned. We were not placed on Earth because we are going to Heaven, we were placed on Earth because we are destined to Hell, and it is up to us to figure out how to get out of here.Sure, the Bible tells us so, but how many people take heed to its directions, how many people take the Bible seriously, how many people question not their life to the death! This is where most people fail, they think that this “simple” acknowledgement of faith is all they have to do, but what they don't realize is that when it comes down to “putting your money where your mouth is”, Everything Changes. So I have to ask you… are you “without hesitation” ready to lay your life down for the Lord, regardless of what horrific death lies ahead of you?If you stumble at these words, then I can say truly you do not believe… we don't know if we “truly” believe until our faith is given the test of Fire. It is only then that we know if our words hold true, and it is only then that we know if we are going to Heaven…

What is the latest on the HIV test window period?

Hi, CDC's earlier advice states:If you have unprotected sex or take other risks with someone who is HIV positive, it is important to understand that your infection will not show up immediately in an HIV test. Most HIV tests are antibody tests that measure the antibodies (special proteins the body makes to fight HIV) produced by the body once infected by HIV. It can take some time for these antibodies to show up in a test, and this time period can vary from person to person. This time period is commonly referred to as the “window period.” Most people will develop antibodies that standard HIV tests can detect within 2 - 8 weeks (the average is 25 days). But, there is a chance that some people will take longer to develop antibodies. So, if you had risky sex or engaged in risky behavior with a person who has HIV or whose HIV status is unknown, you may need multiple tests to ensure you were not infected. For example, if you got an HIV test within the first three months after possible exposure, you should get another test after those three months have passed in case the first test occurred during your window period. Ninety-seven percent of people will develop antibodies in the first three months following the time of their infection. In very rare cases, it can take up to six months to develop antibodies to HIV.
