2001 Buick Lesabre Wheel Possibilities

Will a 2000 buick la sabre transmission fit a 2001 pontiac bonneville?

the problem is this the bonneville used two different transmissions a 4T65E and a 4T80E. the buick only used the 4T80E for one model and one year a 2006 and won't work due to electronic, computer issues. does the pontiac have a super charged engine if the buick does not then the gear ratio's wil be different and only way to correct that would be to pull transmission apart. if not will never shut off the check engine light so will have to find the correct trans for the engine or have original rebuilt

New Stereo in 2001 Buick Lesabre keeping steering wheel controls?

you can add any aftermarket radio. They make a wiring harness to keep the steering wheel controls. I recommend calling Crutchfield.com ( as there are no shops near me, and I use them) They can tell you prices, and even walk you through the installation, step by step if you so desire to do it yourself.
Good Luck!

I have a 2001 Buick LeSabre?

I own a shop, and the problem with these is; they have a plastic reservoir, and people will pry on it to tighten the belt. This in turn will break the reservoir. The cheapest route to go is to purchase another unit from a junkyard, clean it good, and install it. Pay attention to the hoses, and any O-rings that may be on the hoses to keep them from leaking, as this too will cause a leak. Its good practice to make sure the hoses are in good condition, tight, and not rubbing anything to cause a hole in one of them. If one looks at the pump bracket, there is a square hole that a big (1/2") ratchet will fit in, and this is used to tension the pump in order to tighten down the belt. Some will have a tensioner, while others will have a square tip that protrudes out that you can put a wrench on to tension it up with. Changing a pump is not that difficult, and once you get it full (within about an inch of the top), start the engine, and slowly turn the steering wheel from lock to lock (all the way), and it will make all kinds of noise, but it gets better the more you turn it. This works the air out of the system. If you have the tools, the patience, and have a little mechanical ability, its not that hard to do. On a scale of 1-10 it is about a 5 on difficulty, so you be the judge.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

How much does a rim for a 99 buick la sabre cost.?

The wheel for your LeSabre could cost as low as $25 or even as high as $100 depending on the condition and style/materials that were used. It could be much more if you are looking at aftermarket as an option. I would recommend checking out your local salvage yard if price is an concern, I like Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market, it typically has many listings.

2001 Buick LeSabre Wiring Diagram

Dock&Lock GMs have a ribbon cable behind the plug, not colored wires. How is your buddy hardwiring it?

You can find adapter harnesses that fit the D&L connector; Scosche's GM07 is one.

When I've installed steering wheel control adapters in these vehicles, I've usually had to find the wire under the steering column. Use a digital multimeter and find the wire that changes voltage as you press the control buttons. Don't use an analog meter or test light in this area or you may trigger an air bag.

The Brake Warning on 2001 Buick Lesabre?

The light on the dashboard for Brakes just came on. The manual has yet to say exactly what the light is warning about, only that 'one part of the two part break system is not working'. A few minutes after the brake light on the dashboard went on, the 'Traction Off' light went on as well. Like I said, this is a 2001 Buick Lesabre. Yes, I know there are website for this sort of thing, but I don't have the time to sign up and make a thread and hope for a reply. This is my only car so I need it working ASAP. The brake fluid is full and the brake lights still function. I have no trouble breaking yet but I don't want to go and get charged an arm and a leg for something I might be able to do on my own.

Where is the Battery located on a 2001 buick lesabre?

Under the rear seat... i think the passenger side... best wishes! it's kind of a pain to get to...

UNDER THE REAR SEAT "CUSHION" you must lift up on the rear seat cushion to get to the battery hold area...inside of the car...

Reset Tire Pressure button on Buick?

Did you truly verify your tire rigidity or did you basically attempt to reset the equipment? The equipment on that vehicle does not degree tire rigidity in any respect. It measures the form of cases the wheels rotate utilising the ABS/Wheel velocity sensors, not a rigidity sensor interior the tire and wheel assembly. If quite a number of tires is over or decrease than-inflated, in case you have quite a number of tires on the vehicle that are the incorrect length or in case you have tires of mis-matched manufacturers or dramatically distinctive quantities of placed on and tear that could set off off the equipment. verify all your tire pressures while the tires are chilly - ideally interior the morning and until now you do any utilising. make particular the pressures are set to actual what it says on the vehicle suggestion Tag interior the drivers door physique (30 psi front and rear), then verify to ascertain each and all the tires are the main suitable length (P205/70R15 95S) and characteristic comparable quantities of placed on and tear. you could now reset the equipment following the strategies interior the owners instruction manual.

Pulsation/Vibration in Steering Wheel?

Ok, I posted about this a couple weeks ago but I'm still having problems. There's a pronounced pulsation/vibration in the steering wheel of my 2001 Buick LeSabre. At first I thought it was related to the tires so I had them balanced/aligned. I also had a bad motor mount replaced last week. The problem persists.

It seems that the majority of the vibration is actually in the steering column itself. It's not so much in the floor of the car. I also put my hand on the dashboard and the vibration didn't seem to be coming from there.

Another issue is that I have developed a tiny bit of dry rot in my tires, which I plan on replacing within the next couple of months. But like I said I don't think the vibration is so much tire-related because even when I have my foot on the brake at a stoplight I can still feel it.

Can anyone (who actually KNOWS something about cars, please!) give me an idea what this might be? Thanks!
