2002 taurus dome lights and mirror lights stay on?
Yeah I got the same problem on my 2000 exploder... The switch is in the darn latch assembly. I have tried everything to get at it without removing it but this weekend.. guess what I'm up to ;) Short term workaround.. turn your dimmer all the way down till it clicks.. this will turn them off... at night you can turn it back on so you can see the instrument panel and since you are in gear and moving forward the lights will not come back on. till you get it fixed that is..
Where is the Interior Dome Light fuse located on a chevy tahoe 2002?
I believe It's in the engine compartment in the fuse/relay center marked "INTPARK". That should run the interior lamps. If not, is there anything else not working such as the horn or cigarette lighter. Some vehicles have these wired into a circuit with other things.
Door ajar in 03' Ford Taurus problems?
My car has been having some major problems that I haven't been able to figure out. Even when all my doors are closed the door ajar light stays on while I drive. The dome lights turn off after 30 seconds of so but as soon as I stop or am turning, the lights will flicker back on and the door ajar light will flash. The locks on my door will also lock and unlock by themselves while I drive and won't stay locked. When I shut my car off for the night, the interior dome lights stay on and the little parking lights underneath my rearview mirrors stay on as well. This problem has been causing my battery to die several times a day. Some days it won't even stay charged for an hour because the battery is being drained so much. I've taken out the bulb in my dome light so that doesn't come on anymore but I don't have any idea on how to fix the rest of it. I tried WD-40 on all the latches but so far it has done nothing. Any help?

In the “off” position, the left turn switch wire is connected to the left turn lamp and the right turn switch wire is connected to the right turn lamp, so there are 3 inputs and 2 outputs.The fault could be a fuse, turn signal switch, hazard switch, flasher unit, or a broken wire or connection.
2002 ford taurus freeze plugs are leaking, What is the easiest way to replace them?
My ford taurus is leaking from one of the freeze plugs from the rear of the block and Im trying to figure out a way of replacing the rear plugs without having to lift the engine block or drop the tranny. I cannot afford to have a shop do any major work right now. I have read on alot of forums that you have to lift the block but on a couple forums involving a 98 or 99 taurus some are saying you dont have to. If anyone has dealt with this on an 02 Taurus please let me know how I can achieve this with minimum work done.
My car started sputtering then battery light came on? alternator?
Greetings, sounds like a definite current problem. Get the car started then disconnect the positive lead on the battery while having a rev count of approximately 1,500 RPM. It the motor cuts off/dies then it's a possibility that the alternator is NOT charging. Other possible causes can be a loose or broken spark plug wire(s). Start the car in a dark room to see if you have signs of leaking current on any of the spark plug leads. Wire may need to be replaced if there's leaking current. Could be that a cell(s) in the battery is no good but if the battery is strong enough to start the motor then you can eliminate a faulty battery.

People don't usually count how many gallons...there is a way to tell my having a program but if your system is completely drained, it should usually take like one gallon of 100% antifreeze (of the same color you took out) and then from between 1-2 gallons of fresh water (basically just filling the rest with water). You will get bubbles out of the radiator filler or even splash some antifreeze until all the air is out of the system.once the fan starts then just top the radiator off until it stops taking anymore then immediately close the cap to prevent hot antifreeze from flying out on you
2003 Mercury Sable Factory Code Location?
I would like to know where you can find the factory code for a used 2003 Mercury Sable so I can use the keyless pad on the door. I bought it with one owner from new. And the factory code is not in the owners wallet where he should have put it back. I was on a Mercury Forum and it gave me a about 3 or 4 options but they have one under 2003 Sable. Well I looked in the exact place it told more by the pedals embossed on a module, sadly the whole module is blank. I look by on and by the fuse box. In the trunk. So I guess my only other option is to go and pay $50 for them to hook it up and give me one simple code. Ford was really stupid for not putting the code somewhere accessible for the owner to know where it is. I know somebody can find it but at least put it in the owners manual If anybody has any other options please let me know
