Im writing an essay on 2 strokes vs. 4 strokes.........need help?
I personally like 2 strokes, but I want and need a professional's advice on which is better. I was just wondering if anyone knew Travis pastrans email address and i could ask him. Or any other mx rider will do please help!!!!!!!!
2 stroke or 4 stroke racing (yz85 yz125 yz250f)?
You are tall for the 85cc but I still think you would do better to get your foot in the door with a few race meets on the 85cc before you move onto the bigger bike. Then you really would be better off in Australia to go for something like a crf250r and not a 2 stroke 125cc. As I have previously stated the 125cc's are slowly disappearing from the grids here in Oz and are not being produced by all the known manufacturers any longer. Racing mx in Australia does differ from other places in that not that many people race older bikes and we still have many race meets where the 2 stroke 125cc's race against the 4 stroke 250cc's. We also do not have allowances for modified classes so advice from those not living in Australia may be good advice for that country but not for here. Being a bit taller you would find that you have a slight advantage over many of the smaller riders and once you have got the idea of how things are when racing you can move directly onto a bigger bike, but even in C grade many of the riders have been riding for a number of years so starting off there may be intimidating. Regardless of which bike you choose to race you will still have to do your 5 hours of coaching and again you may find that easier on an 85cc. But if you then choose to move to the 250cc you have to do another 5 hours coaching to move to the larger bike. These are new rules that have only been in place for a couple of years and designed to make sure the kids have a basic grounding in how to handle a bike before they are put in a race situation. The other point about staying on the 85cc for just a bit is your weight. You weigh about half a kilo more than my son who is considered very light (especially as he is 3 years older than you) he races 3 sections this year. The 85ccc section on the crf150r, the 125cc section (when they run separate from the 250cc and the 250cc section. He is an A grade rider but has taken longer to be able to ride the 250cc to optimum due to his weight as it is a lot of bike for someone who is under 50 kilos.

How do i tell if my outboard is a 2 or 4 stroke?
hi, i got my hubby a motor as a surprise 4 chrissie, ive got a new fuel drum and cable but my problem is i dont know if its a 2 or 4 stroke outboard so i dont have a clue if i need to get mixed fuel for a 2 stoke, as i do 4 our mower. or if its just straight out unleaded with oil some where. its a johnson 1999 15 h/p and the model is j15reea.99. ive looked it up but it says that model came in both 2 and 4. so my q is how the heck do i tell what it is???? any advice would be great as i want to surprise him on xmas day and not have him worry about getting fuel. thans heaps

I'm currently in the market for a new jet ski. I found a good deal on a 00' Seadoo GTI. The thing is, I was wondering if there is a significant difference between buying a 2 stroke vs a 4 stroke.
