Acuve Dailies To Acuve Oasys

Has anyone else had a problem with Acuvue Oasys contact lenses?

try a new contact colution...

What are the pros and cons of Acuvue Oasys versus Acuvue Advance?

Acuvue Advance is discontinued. For dailies, go with 1-day Acuvue Moist that has 58% water content and is super light to wear. Another good option for dailies is Acuvue Oasys 1-Day which has lower water content (46%) but incorporates HydraLuxe technology which keeps eyes from getting dry.For weeklys, go with Acuvue Oasys. They have 38% water content and Hydraclear wetting technology. They are extremely comfortable!! I just ordered mine from this new site souKare - Healthcare To Your Doorstep In 90 MinutesSuper easy to navigate the site and got my order in less than 2 days. Their pricing was very good - better than some of the other sites I used to buy from. And customer service was very helpful.

Acuvue oasys vs dailies aquacomfort?

I worn contacts for roughly two years, on weekdays and i tired both before, i tried dailies aquacomfort for a period of time but mainly i always use acuvue oasys cause 1. more affordable and for a cheaper price i think there is a difference in quality but its not a huge difference and i find i like acuvue suits my eye better and i just over all like it more.

Review and comparison:

oasys lens is thinner? I dont know how to describe this but when i cleanse the lens, the aquacomfort feels thicker and more sturdy. For me, maybe because i wore oasys more, when i tired aquacomfort I can feel it in my eye when i blink and its not very natural but once or twice when i first started wearing contacts i was a little rough with them and oasys tended to rip easier but thats cause i was too rough.

acuvue oasys : 9/10
dailies aquacomfort : 8/10

Good luck and hope i helped!

Moving from Acuvue Oasys to 1 A Day for Astigmatism?

Okay, so I have been using Acuvue Oasys for awhile now. These things hurt my eyeballs after a few uses. I have told my eye doctor, but he feels that these are the best option. I feel that 1 a day contacts would be the best for me, especially since I pretty much only wear my contacts on the weekends.

I guess the problem is with my astigmatism the axis that I need 140 OD and 040 OS they pretty much do not offer.

I think that my eye doctor at America's Best is basically in bed with these people, since he won't prescribe me any other contacts.

What options do I have? And why doesn't Acuvue offer 1 a day for astigmatism with 140 and 040 axises? Please help.

What axis 1 day Acuvue Contacts for Astigmatism should I get?

That's a real gamble on whether they will work for you.

If you have a fairly high astigmatism correction , and a low sphere power, 10 degrees could make them quite blurry.

Anyway...in cases like that, we go by the LARS rule , which means, Left Add Right Subtract , based on how lenses usually rotate.

So, 60 & 120 are precisely the best choice, but that's no guaranty you will see well with them , or that they will even fit you.

Daily's are thinner and often fit quite differently than regular lenses.

So, good luck with them.

Best daily contact lenses?

So, it's almost time for my yearly eye exam... I think I want to switch from monthly/2week disposable lenses to daily ones. I just get too lazy to clean them sometimes... And I always end up throwing them out before I need to replace them.
I currently have 2 prescriptions for contacts. Acuvue Oasys (2 week disposables) and Air Optix Aqua (monthly)... Are there any daily contacts that are kind of similar to those? My contacts tend to become dry at the end of the day with other brands...

Acuvue Oasys or Proclear contact lenses, which is better?

It really isn't about what lens is better in general. They are 2 different materials with 2 different size lenses. It's a fitting decision (which one best fits your eye) and also an individual decision. A lot of people wear Oasys, but I personally hate Acuvue lenses all together. I've tried every one of them and they didn't work for me at all. I have not tried Proclear's but I do love Coopervision lenses. So your best bet would be to talk with your doctor and see which one is right for you. Hope this helps!

What are the pros and cons of Acuvue versus Air Optix?

Firstly i'm assuming you are referring to Acuvue Oasys Hydraclear Plus, the two weekly contact lens and comparing it to the monthly Air Optix aqua lens. Here are the PROS:Acuvue Oasys is a two weekly lens therefore  you change the lens every two weeks rather than every month. This ensures you avoid that dry eye and slightly uncomfortable feeling towards the end of the month that many contact lens wearers often experience when wearing monthly lenses. This is especially beneficial to people who are prone to dry eyes.Acuvue Oasys has a UV filter built into its structure. It protects the eyes from harmful UVA/UVB rays. Air Optix does not.Acuvue Oasys has a higher Dk/t value than Air Optix (147 vs 138) This value represents oxygen transmissibility- the ability of oxygen to transmit through the lens. This is important as it ensures your cornea does not become oxygen deprived. (Although both Dk/t values are quite high).Acuvue Oasys has a greater water content than Air Optix (38% vs 33%). This is great for keeping eyes hydrated and preventing them from drying out.Acuvue Oasys is a slightly thinner lens than Air Optix (centre thickness 0.07mm vs. 0.08mm). A thinner lens is generally a more comfortable lens. It is also easier for oxygen to transmit through the lens.Acuvue Oasys can be used as an extended wear lens for 1 week- meaning you can wear them overnight. They must be discarded after 1 week (however I never recommend this).CONS:I think changing a lens every two weeks can be slightly inconvenient for some. It is easy to lose track of when the lens should be changed.Acuvue Oasys is generally more expensive than Air Optix.I can't think of anymore cons!

How long does 1 box with 6 lenses of Acuvue contacts last for?

I wear the acuvue oasis contacts and have been wearing contacts for the past 8 years. I have always been told to change my contacts every 2 weeks. So in theory, 1 box of 6 lenses would last you 3 changes aka 6 weeks. If you have one box for each eye, it should last you 12 weeks or 3 months. I just looked on my boxes, and it doesn't say anywhere on there how long to wear them. The best thing you can do is call your eye doctor and just ask. However, I've worn acuvue for years and always been told to throw mine out after 2 weeks if thats of any help.

1-DAY ACUVUE MOIST FEEL STRONG?

You should see the same through any lens of the same power. There have been some instances where this has not proved true. When Night and Day (another Ciba product) first came out, it seems like everyone had to increase the power a little bit (like from -1.25 to -1.50) to make people see clearly. I never had this explained very well to me. Ciba is a major contact lens manufacturer. They make a lot of good products and I am sure they have great quality control.

It is possible to have part of your prescription made up of a "tear lens". This is very important in rigid lenses. There are actually tears trapped between your cornea and the contact. These tears form a part of the prescription. Sometimes stiff soft lenses can have a little bit of this effect. The problem is that daily lenses are usually not very stiff. Based on the base curves, we would actually expect this effect to go the other way.

There are two things I thought of that don't seem likely. Guess it would have been simpler to say I don't know.
