My roommate's 9.5 month old baby is a very picky eater. How do we get enough nutrition into him?

Milk is still the most important form of nutrition at this age so don’t worry if he’s not eating much solids. And as others have said sometimes babies aren’t so interested in solids when ill or teething; this is normal. You can try offering a variety of finger foods so he can choose for himself what and how much he wants to eat. Keep offering him plenty of different healthy options and if he doesn’t eat it then offer him one of his favourites that you know he’ll eat. Keep mealtimes fun and stress free, don’t force food on to him. Let him make lots of mess! This is how they explore and eventually learn to love food.My daughter’s very similar, at 10 months she doesn’t often eat a large quantity of food but I always make sure I have her favourites as a fall back if she doesn’t want any of the meal I’ve prepared. Beaides she still has plenty of milk so I know she’s growing well. If however your roommates baby has stopped putting on weight or is loosing weight then I’d advise her to seek medical advice.

I'm 10 years old, but 130 pounds. Am I overweight or fat?

I would not do drastic changes without consulting a doctor. That said, if you are overweight, it means your current diet is not optimal for your body. There are a few changes you can do that are very safe and easy. You don't provide much detail in your post, so I can only make assumptions.First, what do you normally drink? I know at your age I drank lots of sodas. One single can of soda has more sugar than an adult male should consume in an entire day. All the extra sugar just gets stored as fat. Consider drinking water instead. Not juice, not diet soda, just plain water.I also had candy and desert every chance I got. Consider skipping the desert or having some fruit instead. Many kids avoid vegetables. I know kids that have never had a salad until they were 20. Ideally one should eat vegetables in every single meal. Those are weight loss 101 tips. Those are low risk things you can do. No doctor will advice against those things. What you don't want to do is stop eating and starve yourself to lose weight. Not only it's not effective, but it is flat out dangerous. This is really where you want professional help. You are about to go through puberty, this makes it very easy for you to slim down, but you do need to improve your habits.Losing weight and keeping it off is hard work. It will mean permanent changes to your lifestyle. Changing any habit is hard work. You might read the advice above and think it would be to hard to do. The good news is that you get used to it. If you were to start today, a month from now it would be second nature to you.

Does Herbalife really work for weight loss?

I have been taking Herbalife products for almost 7 months on a daily basis. Yes, there was weightloss though not much of what was boasted about the products and results shown to me. The first thing that I was advised from Herbalife executives was to intake lots of water. Every 10kg needs 1 liter water is what they said. This makes for too much water intake in a day. After a period of consuming Herbalife i did lose weight but the real fact is, it is not affordable. Also drinking 12-14 liters of water is too much work for your kidneys. Its been 2 years since i stopped with Herbalife. I haven't faced any side effects till now. Hope it doesn't really do anything! I prefer working out in a gym and following a proper diet because you know you are safe and you really don't have to worry about side effects if you opt for exercises. I have lost more kgs after joining a gym and following a good diet. Fitness gives joy...Good luck..

My pitbull/amstaff is too skinny, how do I get him to gain weight?

I have a 1.5 year old pit bull. All the trainers I've spoken with agree that you should be able to see your dogs ribs. If you don't, then he's overweight.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is that he may look thin, but if your vet says he's fine, then he's probably fine. I know mine is more thick around his shoulders and much thinner towards his rear and around his ribs.

If he is taller too, he'll probably be thinner, especially since he's a pit or amstaff.

Mine's real muscular, and if that's what you're going for, I only feed mine dry adult large-breed dog food. Eukanuba is the company I use, but it shouldn't matter that much. Dogs are supposed to have lean foods though, so I wouldn't feed him anything fatty to try to fatten him up.
