Well MAC is nice because its familiar and popular.... but you should check out fashion fair, Stila and Bobbi Brown (not the crackhead alcoholic its a woman lol) and remember Ms. Union is probably airbrushed by her makeup artist....they(meaning Actresses) wear a lotta more makeup a whole lot longer than the average everyday woman does so they are usually weighed down with pro products (MAC does sell pro products too to us everyday common folk). I hear there are a couple of drug store brands that are comparable to MAC but I'm not so good picking out powder colors for myself I seem to always get the wrong stuff so i stick to the pros for that. You can always cross brand products too. There is no one line that is an exact match for your needs. Take into account though some products aren't formulated for darker complexions (in my personal and professional opinion) so you will need to apply more product to see the true coloring sometimes.

There isn't a certain brand you need to look for. What i recommend is going to a MAC counter and having them test the color on your skin. Just tell them you don't know your color and they'll put it on for you. That way you know you're getting the right shade. If your skin is difficult to get the right shade you may have to buy two foundations and mix them. I'm only saying this because it sounds like you're having a hard time finding the right shade of color. As for streaking, change whatever brush you're using to a stippling brush. It will not steak. If you don't want to spend 30.00 on a foundation from MAC you can try splurging once then using that bottle color and holding it up to other foundation colors. If the foundation isn't full coverage (there are light, medium, and full coverage foundations) you will need to buy a concealer. MAC Pro longwear also had a concealer for 20.00 which is great, too. But it isn't full coverage for those really dark scars, just the light-medium colored scars. For your bumps, yeah, it'll just go over them. I would go with the Temptu, OCC, or the Luminess Air. I would go for the Luminess Air machine because I'm actually wanting to buy that one soon lol keep in mind they also come in a kit with a variety of like 3 to 4 shades so that you can see which one will be the perfect one for you, it's one of the cheapest and one of the most used/popular!

Yes, I'm african american with very oily skin, and their products have worked for me. and I've tried everything from proactive to murad. They have the only moisturizer I can use during the day, called "dramatically different moisturizing gel", It doesn't make my skin shiny like all the other moisturizers since it's a gel. I also love the way it makes my skin feel cool and sorta tingly. It's a must have for oily skin types, because a good moisturizer is hard to find for our skin type. I also use the number 3 toner (number 4 is for extremely oily skin) and number 3 liquid facial soap. And at night I use the proactive moisturizer. This has cleared my skin up beautifully. However, you should consult the clinque sales clerk, they would assist you in deciding what is right for your skin. Now as far as makeup, I don't know, I use mineral make up, it doesn't clog my pores.
