All Cords To Razer Kraken Pro Headset

Can I use the razer kraken pro on the xbox 360 with the Astro Mixamp Pro?

Yes. The Kraken has a single 3.5mm Cable that holds both Audio and Mic.

It also ships with a splitter, meaning you can plug that 3.5mm jack, into the typical green (audio) and pink (mic) cables that you see that plug directly into your sound card via the back of your cpu.
I'm not 100% sure on it working with the splitter (there is a PC Mic port open in the back with the old mix amp, and at the front with the new mix amp pro).

However it should work 100% with the original 3.5mm jack, by plugging that into the 'headphones' port, and then using the xbox live chat cable, that the mix amp ships with. (Plug one end into the headphones port and the other, the front of the 360 controller).

Included in the source is a thread where a mod on the forums talks about this in minor depth.

Is Razer Kraken 7.1 the Best Headphone set to purchase in 2016?

Thanks for the A2A. I second the previous answer: not even close. When you talk about the best, it has to be in relation of something, e.g. Best of gaming headphone under USD300, etc. otherwise I will assume that you mean the absolute best. The best headphone that I have ever heard? My beloved Mr Speakers Ether C. I am sure there are better headphones still, I just haven’t tried it yet.

Razer Kraken Pro Mute Switch?

There is no mute switch on the cable itself.

Can I repair my Razer Kraken 7.1 Headset (USB) after it has been pulled to the side?

So my father had fell and while I was in a rush to get to him, my leg got caught on the wire and pulled the usb to the side. When I came back, the headset hadn't been working, and when I looked at the usb, it was all loose inside the rubber cover. Now this headset only has one wire and that's the usb, so If I were to splice it and connect the wires with lets say a phone charger usb, twist the wires, and use electrical tape to tape it together, would it work? Or would I not be able to do this do to the fact that the audio is also running through the usb? Please give suggestions! This is currently the best, and most expensive headset I own, and it would suck if I had to go out and buy a new one when I could just get some tape and fix it myself.

TeamSpeak won't recognize my Razer Kraken Pro microphone. It works fine on my Xbox. The drivers are up to date. What's going wrong?

That sounds strange.Try to close TeamSpeak, re-attache the microphone to the PC and start TeamSpeak again. The device should now be available in TeamSpeak under Settings -> Options -> Capture -> Capture Device…It may be listed as for example “Microphone (USB Audio Device)”TeamSpeak doesn’t care about what device you’ve selected as the default device in Windows, it will use whatever device you tell it to use.

Is the Turtle Beach DSS compatible with the Razer Kraken Pro?

Yes it's compatible. Razer Kraken pro has an analog cord, and the turtle beach dss 2 has an analog input and an auxiliary input. Your headphone will work with it. But I suggest you buy this version of turtle beach.

My Razer Kraken Pro is broken.. I think?

So, i've had a the Razer Kraken Pro (headset) and one day I accidently tugged on the cord and the left speaker went silent. So I hit it and it started working, and ever since if you hit it just a little bit causes it to go quiet. Everytime I hit it I hear a Crack Sound and like 10 minutes later it starts working. (Not like plastic or wood Cracking, It's hard to explain) I've looked all over for people with similar problems. But I can't find any. I would really like some help. I don't want to have to trade it in for another. :(

Does USB 3.0 benefit any headsets?

I recently bought a Razer Kraken 7.1 headset. I suppose my question could be generalized to all USB-powered headsets. Some forum browsing has produced a number of opposing experiences.

For instance, in the following forum:
http://scpcbgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3501

An individual mentions that the headset will delay or even short-out when in a USB 2.0 port. S/he even goes so far as to say, "Well, most USB Headsets/Headphones these days require a USB 3.0 slot to get the necessary amount of energy/electricity to function properly." I haven't seen that repeated anywhere else, but I have heard mention of some headsets working better on 3.0 due to power required for the external chipset.

On the other end, some people claim to have issues with 3.0. Some say their headset doesn't work (probably something small like a driver issue or BIOS setting), and others (well, one other) say their mic won't mute when in 3.0.

My knowledge of the different USB speeds is quite limited, but the few (and evidently, there are VERY few) comments veering one way or another are enough to concern me.

I personally haven't received such issues myself, and while I understand the resultant obvious reply would be, "So, what's the problem?" I feel as though I'll benefit more from an answer that contributes to my understanding, which, at the moment, is lacking.

Thanks in advance.

Does the Razer Kraken 7.1 work with mp3 or is it USB only?

I am considering buying a pair of Kraken 7.1s from Razer but I want to be able to plug them into my iPhone 5 and listen to music. I need to know if they are USB only or if they support mp3. Thanks
