Alliances Can Be Best Described As What

A scientific theory can best described as?

Usually, D.

Tentative answers are a step towards a hypothesis, usually a thought experiment that is not intended to be carried out, but gives an explanation (Schrodinger's cat, Einsteins' immovable object vs irresistable force, etc.)

hypotheses are conceptual, but there is no experimental proof, or not enough such proof, yet.

Belief accepted as facts are usually 'Laws", but they may be very advanced theories that have been observed to happen in virtually every case.

Predictions on a hypothesis are the basis of every experiment, and hence not yet theories, although the theories may be tested many times to get further predictions, or more accurate predictions.

Can LGBT behaviors be best described as moral dysfunction secondary to psychiatric disorders?

Morality is highly relative to culture, religion and the region where a person lives. These kinds of questions regarding LGBT are usually based in a conservative religious framework. However, there are lots of non conservative branches of various religions which are supportive of LGBT people, culture, behavior and lives. If you believe it is wrong to kill, or wrong to hate, yet you think it is okay to kill certain kinds of people, or hate certain kinds of people, then you are violating your own morality.Which behaviors are you speaking about? I think the question has a serious logical flaw, because you are not detailing which behaviors are subjectively abhorrent to you. Can you define what you are describing as dysfunctional?Your question is illogical from my own perspective. I was dysfunctional until I admitted my transgender status to myself. I lived for decades in depression and suicidal ideation. To me, that is a psychiatric disorder. However, when I admitted that I was transgender, and started living my life true to that, and started taking testosterone, my depression went away, my suicidal ideation went away, and I started living a functional life. So in my own perspective, your theory is false. You are absolutely deceived about LGBT behavior. When a person finds a supportive community that validates their LGBT identity, then they become completely functional. Most of the time, that involves living in a city with a liberal community of people. I’m so sad for you, that you have to stigmatize and marginalize LGBT identities by putting people in the pigeonhole of “mentally ill”. It is very sad for you that you have to view real and genuine people in this manner. The most functional aspect of my LGBT life was to be true to myself. In fact, I think that is the most functional thing any person can do is to live the truth, and not a lie. Being hypocritical and leading a double life is so destructive and shame based. Nobody can truly live until they get rid of their internalized shame. It is both very simple, and also the hardest thing you will ever do to break through that lie to live the truth. You’ll feel like your truth is turned on its’ head, and you’ll feel disoriented for awhile, and then you will really live.

How are enzymes best described?

Enzymes are organic bio-molecules that catalyze the chemical reactions in biological system. Similar to catalyst, an enzyme accelerates the rate of a chemical reaction and it is neither consumed nor changed in the reaction. Therefore, the enzymes are also called bio-catalysts. All enzymes are protein in nature except ribozymes (catalytic RNA). Enzymes are colloidal and thermolabile and are synthesized by living cells.

In what ways did the alliance system cause World War 1?

The alliances that caused World War I are best described in this encyclopedia article:Dual Alliance | Europe [1894]In 1882, the Triple Alliance, with Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary as participants, was crafted to isolate France.  Prior to 1890, Bismarck assumed France and Russia were too ideologically incompatible to ever conclude a military agreement.  However, secret negotiations began in 1891, and by 1894 an agreement between Russia and France arranged for each country to put a specific number of troops in the field, should the other be attacked by Germany.  This was all a "secret", but no doubt, Germany eventually became knowledgeable.  This led to the crafting of the Schlieffen Plan, by the German general staff, which hypothesized that a swift victory in France could be achieved before the Russians could mobilize, and thus Germany could knock out one enemy at a time, and so win any major war.  The Schlieffen Plan necessitated that German troops pass through Belgium, and Great Britain stood as the guarantor of Belgium neutrality, as an effect of the Treaty of London of 1839.  The Schlieffen Plan also relied on a vast logistical and intricate movement of troops within Germany to be set in motion.  While Kaiser Wilhelm was bellicose in the beginning of the crisis, by the time war was declared, he wished to stop the war.  The chief of the German general staff, von Moltke, declared that the Schlieffen Plan was impossible to reverse, and the war must go on.It is now known from recent information unearthed from archives, that certain elements of the Austrian government wished to "go to war" as a method of cleansing the decrepit political system with Austria-Hungary, years before 1914.  With the assurances of the Triple Alliance treaty, Austria-Hungary felt confident in attacking Serbia, even with Serbia agreeing to all the demands made after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.

How would you describe Delhi in one line?

"If all cities were human beings, Delhi would be a rich spoilt blonde."How?It's a beautiful city (with the best infrastructure and the best food in India), but not very brainy. It loves facebook, instagram and snapchat, but doesn't give a shit to Quora. It doesn't always read books, but when it does, it's more into love stories, than any other genre. It gives you way too many choices when it comes to shopping, eating and travelling. But at the same time, it judges people on the the clothes they wear and the cars they drive.Delhi is pretty awesome at hosting parties and weddings, but will also be the first one to pick up a fight. And it'll rather settle that fight with a punch than wit. And if that doesn't work, it can always use its Dad's name. And the mood swings, It can be both, extremely cold and extremely hot!Edit: I'm sorry for the Generalisation. But stereotypes are all about proportions. So let me clarify that when I say 'not very brainy', I don't mean every one, just talking about the proportion.Edit 2: All the commenters challenging Delhi's stupidity, I wonder why you didn't challenge the other stereotypes like the culture of snapchatting, instagramming, showing off father's money, judging people by their clothes and cars, picking fights too often, reading only love stories by Indian authors, showing off father's name, etc. Besides, I also called Delhi very pretty, in terms of the people living here, and the city itself. If people from Delhi were pretty AND brainy, that'll be a deadly combination. Thank God it ain't like that.

How is 'Dao' described in the book 'Dao De Jing'?

While it is hard to know how this question would be answered by the author(s) of the book, here's my shallow understanding:The book dictates that no matter how complicated the world appears to be, it can be explained by "simple rules". These simple rules can be called as "dao" as a whole abstractly.Axiom 1. No matter how complex a system is, there is always an "out-of-box" theory that can explain it, and the theory is normally a lot simpler than the system appears to be. This is very similar to "science", by broadening theories to cover more cases, eventually everything will follow the same rules. In other words, "generalization" always works.Axiom 2. Generalization will eventually leads to 1 and 0, or the theory of "yin" and "yang". By observing two opposed and conflicting sides of a system, one can normally find out all complexity of the system comes from simple mix-up of both sides.Dao De Jing then uses many examples to illustrate or verify how correct these two theories are.Dao De Jing then assumes that if you believe in it, you should structure your life by obeying them. This leads to:Axiom 3. If you follow Dao, or the "rules" of the world, you will succeed. Otherwise, you will fail. One side axiom that's only slightly touched by Dao, but a lot more discussed by Buddhism, is that:Axiom 4. You will only see through colorful world into its simplicity by discarding your human feelings and emotions. "常無欲, 以觀其妙, 常有欲, 以觀其徼" means "I force myself to ignore my sensory based understanding of the world, just to find out how profound the world is; but I also enjoy having my feelings back to appreciate the world's beautiful appearance". The reason I like this one so much is because this is my philosophy of human life: while enjoying all superficial feelings a human would normally have, I calm down to inner world to fully understand what exactly is going on.Totally personal read :-)

Why does Russia have no real friends or allies?

All I have to say is….“Everybody's at war with different things...I'm at war with my own heart sometimes”.While hearing name of russia all I remember is this quote by Shakur.Russia has some secret ally as per the source. But still if we look out normally there is no one real for Russia. She changes her priority as per her goals and henceforth it’s one of the biggest reason why russia never had any true ally..While considering India - Russia relation..With no offence Russia cannot fight toe to toe with China so colaboration with india is good for her as well as a friend with same priority is much more worthful than any other friend. As per the scenerio Russia and India have the same priority with respect to China. And about Greece and Russia they are said to be bilateral relationAnd you are wrong about Greece Russia relation that they don’t care about greece side. As per the history Greece and Russia have a quite good relationship because of there history. Greece and Russia enjoy excellent diplomatic relations. Both countries also share common political views about the Balkans and the world, with Greece being a strong supporter of Russia's stance on the Kosovo Unilateral Declaration of Independence.Despite Greece's membership in the EU and NATO, the country's friendship with Russia has many years of fine traditions. Due to the common interests and shared religious heritage of both countries, Greece and Russia enjoy excellent relations which is reflected by the fact that both states are co-operating in several fields, and especially in trade, culture, energy, military and tourism. There are regular high-level visits between the two countries, and frequent contacts between the ruling political parties (especially between the New Democracy (Greece) and the United Russia), as well as between the ministries and agencies, on various matters concerning individual sectors. And about NATO. NATO and Russia have some personal issue but this doesn’t mean Russia allies with Serbia and others because of NATO.They had some past issue during Cold War.But anyway Russia is a good country as well as a powerful one. Sometimes it occur in my head that US might be the reason behind all of this hurdle.

Is it worth taking French classes at Alliance Française?

I have been an Alliance Française student for several years now. (I will be doing yet another level in a few weeks time.) Apart from learning a bit more in another institute in a two-week programme in a French-speaking territory, I have learned all the basics in the language with our local AF institute.I am happy with that.  The university in our city also teaches French but AF makes it convenient for me (as a worker) in that I have my classes in the afternoons or on weekends.  As one has said in another response, your teachers will not teach in the same way, but try to work with whoever teaches you at each different level.Your teachers may not follow the same programme. I have had three different teachers over the years and each is different. Two do not follow a strict guideline/programme and textbook. The teacher I enjoyed most urged us to speak in French during the lessons. He gave instructions in French and expected you to respond to or ask questions in the language. We also covered the basics in French grammar and listened to dialogues by using a textbook and its accompanying audio/DVD package.  With AF, you can sign up for beginner, intermediate or advance classes, depending on your level of the language. If you move from one city to another where there is another AF institute, you can always sign up without any real difficulty. Inform the director/tutor what sort of tenses and stuff you had done in the other institute and s/he can place you in the right group to help you carry on with your learning. And, most AF places should have plenty of audio files, CDs, DVDs, books, magazines and other resources that an AF student can use to further his/her knowledge of the language.  As a good student, who wants to get the best of any form of learning, do your bit to spend at least three hours a week to revise your lessons (or learn from supplementary texts/audio files) on top of what you learn in AF. I am sure you will enjoy your lessons.

Why is the US allied with Saudi Arabia although they behead people?

The USA-SA relationship can be best described as a marriage of convenience. It is because the US doesn’t really have much options in the Middle East.Syria, Iran, Iraq etc are completely against American policies. Jordan Lebanon etc are too weak and small for any influence. One of the most developed and stable countries in terms of infrastructure and economy for quite some time in the Middle East is Saudi Arabia.US and Saudi geopolitical ambitions in the Middle East are presently aligned. So there is no need for any animosity. Having said that, the US routinely broaches the topics of human rights with Saudi ambassadors. This is more of a PR stunt to show that US takes note of such things but at the end of the day, these things go under the radar. Also, if you look at it from a purely economic point of view, the oil supplies by SA could be used as a chip against US enemies in a war. US could for instance cut China's oil supplies in an instant through its carriers in the region. (Note that US imports <10% of oil from Saudi. It is a strategic move to limit Saudi influence on American geopolitics)For further details, please see my answer - Naras Rao's answer to Why doesn't USA attack Saudi Arabia?
