Any Advice For 7th Grade I Start Tomorrow

I'm starting 8th grade tomorrow, any advice?

I'm a 13-year-old who will be starting her 8th grade tomorrow, but i'm really scared!
today is my last day of summer, and I will be spending it with my 17-year-old cousin but he and i have nothing to do
any advice

ps he'll be starting college tomorrow!

Okay, I started 7th last year and here is my little opinion:

1. Don't be afraid to get lost. I got lost going to Keyboard class the first day, lol, and the teacher didn't even care. She just expected us to get lost haha. We were running around like crazies trying to find the keyboard room, but we found it. It's not that scary.

2. Forgetting your locker combo isn't that bad. WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE! I forgot it sometimes, causing me to be late for a class, but the teacher didn't really care at all. Right your locker number down on a folder or your binder.

3. I was scared about 8th graders too, but they were really nice and never bothered me. They actually tried to make friends with me. They won't bother you unless you bother them. If they bother you, just remember that they are going to be leaving next year and going to a different school, so you won't have to deal with them when you're in 8th grade. Don't be scared to ask them for help. They probably know more about the school than you do. If they don't help, ask a teacher that is close by.

7th grade was fun. I just went with the flow. I was really nervous for nothing. There we barely any bullies at all.

Also, the teachers are expecting you to get lost believe it or not. It's a new enviornment, and it's a BIG change. They realize that. I mean, they were 7th graders once!

The first day of 8th grade starts TOMORROW?

um well i was in 8th last year,going to high school thursday xP, and it seemed pretty okay. Considering that i was in the same school for the 3rd time. but i only knew about 3 people that were in my class from the last year(my middle school was stupid,you stayed with the same classmates the whole day) but i eventually became friends with everyone(but also got enemies). Just be yourself,dont be too boring, make conversation,and try to find people with the same likes/dislikes as you.

Since day one I've been the girl nobody likes...no I'm not mean or a horrible person I do have some friends...but back to my question on the first day of 6rd grade my teacher said "In middle school mean kids pick on less popular kids but in high school nobody talks to them." and that has been haunting me for the last two years I'm scared...so scared...I'm changing my look for this year I think I look really cute and pretty! and I keep saying to myself "Maybe your get a date to 8th grade prom!" but then I hear a little voice in the back of my head "year right ugly betty" or something like that...Im scared any tips on how to make it out alive?

i was in eighth grade last year and it wasnt too bad. teachers make a big deal about the 8th grade standerdized test (i dont know if you have that) but it was super easy. i didnt so much of my homework at home. i found a class that i had a lot of extra time in and i would do it then. 8th grade was my favorite year of school so far i loved it. you may not know anyone in your class now but when you get there tomorrow im sure you will know people. its not like you havent gone to school with these people before right? and for the teachers dont be a teachers pet but just act quiet and polite the first few days to make a good impression. as the year goes on you will be able to act more like yourself when you feel comfortable. good luck dont be nervous its not as big a deal as you think.

I have a project due tomorrow and haven't started. Any advice?

Yes, you have left it to the last minute, despite knowing that you had a deadline but hopefully if you have an understanding teacher you may be able to get some additional time to finish your project. Do what you can tonight and think realistically (really important) about when you could actually finish your project given your other commitments. In the morning, go to school and try and talk to your teacher before school starts or at least before your lesson starts. Lay your cards on the table and say that you're sorry but you haven't finished it, that you are still adapting to the additional workload and that you are trying to catch up and that you should be able to finish it by your calculated date. By being honest and communicative with the teacher, he/she knows what the situation is and is less likely to give you a bollocking. You may get one anyway, you may get a % of marks deducted or you may get the wanted extension. Either way, you are facing up to the problem and trying to reach an acceptable solution for the both of you. No teacher really wants a low graded student and will generally try and help you to rectify things. If you do get your extension, make sure you get your project done on time and get all future projects done in time. If you come across the same situation again, you may need to ask for help in project planning and managing your time. The earlier the better though. If nothing else, put it down to experience and learn from it. You may be able to use it in future job interviews when you're asked how you faced a difficult situation and how you addressed it.
