Whats a good name for a trading card game?

You should name it something that in some way connects to the theme of the game and has a strong tie to the world you're going to create for the game.

Naruto TCG Card Maker?

Actually, you can create them as Yu-Gi-Oh! cards on

Then find the image for the card and support the remaining information.

Is it hard to get a trading card game published?

Well I don't know about getting your card games and board games published but I'm 100% sure that it will be impossible for your card games to go the way of Yugioh and Pokemon and MTG. It isn't only about mechanics and stuff after all since you'd need marketing and maybe sponsors too.

So basically what you need are:
Marketing and advertising
A catchy name for it
Sponsors??
Be backed by Konami or Wizards of the Coast

Yugioh and Pokemon both have manga and a show to go with them and that is why they are more popular. MTG is an icon in TCG and has been for many years. A card game that comes from someone who isn't a big name in the industry won't raise much of a wind. You can try going to Wizards of the Coast or something and they may help you (they own MTG and Pokemon).

By the way, concerning your rare cards that come from the same city: there are hundreds of cities. Are you sure you can come up with enough ideas to fill each city card so that each city card is considered rare and great to have in the deck? For example, I grew up in Paterson, New Jersey (doubt you have heard of it) and I doubt there will be a card for anyone willing to buy cards there. This also changes if you happen to go international too.

The above paragraph assumes that the city cards are not for collecting only of course.

Also, I enjoy Yugioh because I play with friends and family. I enjoy collecting cards and making decks.

As a final word, if you don't know about this, I would suggest looking into the patents and copyrights that the major card games have and make sure it isn't in your game (or get permission for it). I think one of them have a copyright where having the card side ways (defense position in Yugioh) is copyrighted and they own that idea.

Good luck and tell us what you plan to call it.

Which YU-GI-OH cards are essential in making a deck good enough to win a european tournament?

Well, these days, Dark Armed Dragon-Return from the Different Dimension Decks are very popular. They work by using Dark Armed Dragon's special ability to remove a bunch of cards that are then summoned at once with Return from the Different Dimension.

Dark Armed Dragon Deck:

Dark Armed Dragon (2)
Argademmon Knight (2)
Dark Grepher (2)
Jinzo (2)
Snipe Hunter (1)
Spirit Reaper (1)
D.D. Crow (2)

These cards are essentail in a Dark Armed Dragon Deck. Knight and Grepher dump DARKS in the Grave for DAD's special ability. Jinzo is to help with Dark Grepher, and is a strong card in his own right. Snipe Hunter can destroy cards on your opponent's side of the field, and D.D. Crow can help to remove things. Spirit Reaper is just a standard staple.

Allure of Darkness (3)

This is a draw card. It let's you draw 2 cards, but then you have to remove a DARK card from your hand. In this deck, that actually helps you!

OR

The Beginning of the End (3)

Another Draw card. It let's you draw 3 cards if you remove 5 cards that are DARK and you havce 7 DARK cards in your grave beforehand. Most people prefer Allure.

Return from the Different Dimension (As many as you are allowed)

This let's you summon a bunch of monsters to the field from the Removed pile. I don't know how many you can use though.

What is the best engine for CTCG (Computer trading Card Game)?

Assuming that its a Hearthstone style game, then you need to have two conversations here: the client and the server.Client: Unity. Daniel Super is right that Hearthstone uses it. That it is C#. It has a huge asset store so you can get art  and tons of UI help for very little money. I love TextMeshPro. You can do some pretty amazing things with strings and that makes your game look polished.Server: It had better be server authoritative. You'll need to deal with running all the game logic on the server and validating the client commands. You'll need a place to process all the sales of card packs and validate the receipt with your server or apple/google.  Doing that on the client is how hackers own your game. I'd just use Java on the backend but you have other choices. You'll need to think about how large the play space can get. As long as you don't have 1000s of people seeing each other, you can get away with almost any choice. Figuring out what you match making room is and what that looks like (do you see peoples homes/castles/bases/whatever - can you move around? Is there a world? Or is it just random matching)
