OK so season 3 just ended and there still a lot not done in the show.so will there be a season 4? Highschool dxd is very popular and sells amazing so what will happen there 19 light novels and still ongoing and they only use 2 per season. So any info on if highschool dxd will have a 4th season? It's fav show so any info will be nice

I also just finished High School DxD New, and after doing some "research," and based off of what happens with all animes, a new season is based on three things. One, how well it sells. If it sells poorly, why bother to make another season? Two, how popular it is. If the audience finds it intriguing and wants more, it might push the studio to make another season. Three, how the studio and director feel like doing. Hey, the ultimate decision lies with them! So even though High School DxD New's Episode 12 hinted a lot of things that could be progressed into another season and the fact that the light novels are still ongoing, the power to make another season really depends on the director and the studio, and all the people who really are in charge of High School DxD. So all we can do now, is just pray everyday for another season! :D

For a series to get more than 1 season, the anime has to sell pretty well, and generally boost sales of the original work as well. Even then, each subsequent season has the same expectation; it has to be popular and the original work has to remain popular.For High School DxD in particular, things seem to be going pretty well. Making it into a second and third season are probably the biggest hurdles. Getting a second season means doing well with the first season, and getting a third means that the second season has do well despite being a sequel (meaning little chance to attract a new audience). That it’s getting a fourth season at all indicates that it is doing a good job of remaining popular. I was on my favorite anime site and I noticed that there was a High school Dxd born season 3 (Sub) and a High school Dxd born season 3 (Dub) and I was shocked. So I want to know if it is true? And who licensed it ?
