Any Occult Music That Is Not Satanic

What bands are satanic?

satanic lyrics/themes are limited ALMOST exclusively to heavy metal. Black Metal, by definition, usually surrounds satanism, the occult, gothic themes, and almost anything by H.P. Lovecraft. some Black Metal bands are Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Emperor, Graveworm, Opeth (disputed; i personally believe its more Death Metal), and many, many others.

the image of satanism is everywhere in heavy metal. some other heavy metal bands that write lyrics about satanic themes/the occult, though not as "hardcore" as Black Metal artists, are Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin (easily disputable - Jimmy Paige had a fanatical interest in the occult, a few songs have some satanic themes, and there is the urban legend of Stairway to Heaven's secret subliminal messages, but other than that theres really no exceptionally satanic themes in any of their music), Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, KISS... basically, most heavy metal bands either write satanic lyrics or create a satanic image/atmosphere at some point in their career. im not saying ALL heavy metal bands are satanic, so dont blow up on me.

Does black metal have to have satanic/occult lyrics?

On a post about Liturgy (a band everyone seems to have an opinion on, especially because of the whole transcendental black metal debacle) I noticed one comment that really REALLY bothered me. In it, the person was praising Liturgy and their vocalist's ideas on how counter culture is being monetized, but then ended with:

"However, Liturgy is not a satanic band, therefore, they are NOT black metal."

Is this a view shared by most black metal fans? I'm guessing they mean the lyrical topics, and in that case, does that make these bands not black metal?

-Krallice
-Wolves In The Throne Room
-An Autumn For Crippled Children
-Altar Of Plagues
-Burzum
-Triste
-Xasthur

If these bands/artists aren't black metal, then what are they? I get how the first four can be considered too different musically, but even then, the last three are all highly respected in the black metal community, and even the more experimental bands there still have many of the trademark sounds with the screams/wretches, blast beats, tremolo picking, and harsh production. Do you think black metal is only black metal if the lyrics are satanic or occult?

Non-metal Satanic bands?

Ghost IS a metal band; they play a similar style of metal/early proto-metal as bands like Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult. Metal elitists don't consider them metal because for some reason when new bands play old-school styles of metal it "doesn't count" for some reason. But I digress, if your idea of metal is just the screaming stuff, you've been missing out on the majority of metal, that scream-centric stuff is the minority.

For hard rock bands with more occult-centric lyrics, check out Lucifer and Brimstone Coven for starters; they're both Sabbath-esque bluesy hard rock bands that are big into witchcraft and occult themes with great singers; Lucifer's Johanna Sadonis has a lovely voice, and the singer for BC (whose name escapes me at the moment) has almost a sort of a subtle Sinatra-esque quality to it, which makes for a cool combo with the rock music).

If you want something that is both blatantly Satanic and also not the least bit adjacent to any sort of heavy metal, look up King Dude. He opened for Ghost on their Spring 2014 tour in the US; he's a dark folk artist who's quite talented and whose most well-known song is called LTLOTW (Lucifer's the Light of the World), so I'd imagine that fits your criteria haha

Is twenty one pilots satanic?

No, they're not. I don't know how could someone even think they are satanic. If I was you, I would just play that person some black metal songs from bands that actually did practice satanism.

I'll give you some examples: Burzum, Mayhem, Behemoth, Gorgoroth, Emperor, Nattefrost. Play any song by those bands and that should convince that person that Twenty One Pilots are NOT satanic. It's even dumb to think they are.

Are Tyler The Creator and Odd Future's music Satanic?

naw he's atheist, im christian so i would argue he's still siding with satan but no one here seems to give a f*ck except me,

i hate tyler mainly for that reason if he didnt diss religion and jesus un general all the time in his music i might give him a listen,

like the beat of yonkers is incredible, thats probably the highlight of tylers career IMO, and i wont listen to the normal version just cuz of the lyrics, i look the instrumental up

Is Prodigy Music demonic?

I find music by Prodigy really catchy. However, it sounds abit demonic and there are articles saying that if you play their music backwards, there is demonic language in it. Overall the music is very dark.

Does anyone get abit antsy when listening to their stuff.

Is Led Zeppelin satanic?

As a devoted Christian as well, Led Zeppelin is not satanic. Yes, Paige was/is extremely interested in the occult, but no one in the group ever came out and said they were satanists. Led Zeppelin is an amazing blues band, period! although I've never heard of the mothership album, i own their main 9 albums. Groundbreaking work
