As far as I've inferred, Not Afraid is Eminem's comeback song. After the slump in quality with the previous albums, Eminem went on a hiatus(2005-2008). He himself agrees in the other songs (Going through changes) in his album 'Recovery' that during that period he was doing a lot of drugs and that he's let down a lot of people(fans, family).Not Afraid is not a dedication but like a message to all regarding his comeback, lashing out to the world about his lyrical prowess etc etc and to all those who are not that sure of themselves to be inspired by him and his story.

To be very honest, this is subjective. There are going to be 10 people with 10 different opinions on this. And, due to Eminem's genius, none of them are really too absurd. So, I'll just present my view.For me, yes. Lose Yourself is Eminem's best track so far. I mean, just listening to it after a bad or tiring day can make it a good one instantly. It has motivational lyrics, thumping neat, and the generally flawless flow and rhythm of Eminem added to all of that. The guitar intro is a real gem too. The hook is one of the best Eminem has ever offered. He doesn't quite deliver the lines like he did in "The Way I am" previously, or in "Not Afraid" and "Love The Way You Lie" much later though.The song gave Eminem an academy award. It was the first academy award given to an original rap song ever. It is also one of Eminem's most commercially successful tracks of all time, and has often been cited as one of Hip Hop's finest.That, is the Legacy of Lose Yourself.
