Do you have any tips for getting government jobs in engineering?

Government jobs in the US all follow a very regimented process with regard to promoting the job and the requirements needed to apply for the job. They do this to ensure that everything is as fair as possible and to ensure that job levels are strictly maintained. Therefore, getting these jobs may not be as dependent on the quality of your network as most standard business positions. That said, if you have network connections to these offices, they can certainly help you in the interview stage and selection stage. Therefore, I would recommend that you go carefully through the job postings to see which job(s) you qualify for and that interest you. Once you have submitted the application, you should reach out to your network to help push this along.Don’t have any network connections in these positions? This is a common problem and one of the reasons I tell all of the engineers I mentor that they must actively build a network so that it is there when they need to utilize it. Once you are in the position of looking for a job, it is tough to build a solid quality network. At this point, you have to just do the best you can by reaching out to anyone you know and seeing who they might be able to connect you to that has influence in this area.I am in the middle of writing a set of articles regarding networking for engineers and will have them out in the next week or two. Please check back in on my blog, link below, for these articles on how you can build a rock solid network.Best of luck,Sol Rosenbaum, PE, CEM, CPMP, LinkedIn ProfileIf you found value in this answer, please UPVOTE to help me reach others.Check out my Quora blog - The Engineering Mentor. The articles are geared towards younger engineers, but really can be applicable to others as well.

Tips on getting a job while having a speech impediment (stuttering/blocking)?

Print the brochure for employers from the Stuttering Foundation and take it with you to the interview. Tell them you stutter but are working on becoming more fluent. Stress your skills despite your stuttering and be ready to tell how you can help the company. Most likely, if you start out talking about your stuttering, you will stutter less.

Tips on how to get a job in denmark?

Hmmm,if you plan to marry that Danish fiance and stay in Denmark, I suggest to take the free Danish course offered by the 'kommune' as soon as possible, if your school do not offer it already. (It will make your life alot easier to deal with Danes, not to mention your family in laws.)
It will of course teach you the Danish, but you will also meet other foreigners who might be working already. They can give you some tips on how can you find a job like theirs. I met several such students in Danish course, who worked mainly in cleaning or other labor intensive jobs. It is really all about networking. However, you may want to consider intensive Danish course offered for meeting such forigners.
If you are taking a Danish course, it can only help you find a job, saying that you are taking this very long steps towards integration, to the employer.
If you already have some kind of university degree, ask your fiance to look into www.moment.dk for you. This is really his job to help you out.
Good luck.
