Anyone Knows Companies That Apply The Four Generic Strategies

Does anyone know if the new Walmart drug plan will effect insurance companies?

The news article I saw yesterday indicated that if a customer's insurance/prescription plan co-pay was higher than $4 Wal-Mart will still only charge $4. I can't find the article today but it was either on CNN.com or Yahoo!News. Remember that currently they are planning trials in some Florida locations and that it doesn't apply to all generic medications, although there are around 300 that are included in the trial.

The following is more information from Wal-Mart's home page:

What are marketing strategies

Marketing strategies may differ depending on the unique situation of the individual business. However there are a number of ways of categorizing some generic strategies. A brief description of the most common categorizing schemes is presented below:

* Strategies based on market dominance - In this scheme, firms are classified based on their market share or dominance of an industry. Typically there are three types of market dominance strategies:
o Leader
o Challenger
o Follower
* Porter generic strategies - strategy on the dimensions of strategic scope and strategic strength. Strategic scope refers to the market penetration while strategic strength refers to the firm’s sustainable competitive advantage.

*
o Product differentiation
o Market segmentation
* Innovation strategies - This deals with the firm's rate of the new product development and business model innovation. It asks whether the company is on the cutting edge of technology and business innovation. There are three types:
o Pioneers
o Close followers
o Late followers
* Growth strategies - In this scheme we ask the question, “How should the firm grow?”. There are a number of different ways of answering that question, but the most common gives four answers:
o Horizontal integration
o Vertical integration
o Diversification
o Intensification

A more detailed scheme uses the categories:

* Prospector
* Analyzer
* Defender
* Reactor

* Marketing warfare strategies - This scheme draws parallels between marketing strategies and military strategies.

Who are the 3 characters in Sam Shepard's play "Four H club?"?

OK, we can pretty much confirm that Jennifer L is A MORON...for cutting and pasting an ENTIRE FREAKIN' THESIS that isn't even on "4-H", but on "Curse of the Starving Class"! (J.L.: if you don't know, DON'T ANSWER!)

Correct answer: 3 guys named John, Bob & Joe, who hang out in a trash-filled apartment. That's it. Simple.
