Which brand of kitchen appliances is best: Neff, AEG, or Miele?

Miele is one of the leaders in Kitchen appliances. I would never be able to afford their appliances, they are meant for commercial use in upper class restaurants. However, if you are looking for incredible warranty and want to have the absolute best appliances in your home, Miele is the present and the future leader.Miele is the Tesla of KitchensAnd, if you’d like to check out some affordable Kitchen appliances - this free virtual designer enables you to visualize it in 3D BuildDirect | Design Center

Has anyone used kitchen appliances from Häfele Nagold in India? How good are the appliances, especially the chimneys?

I had my kitchen remodelled and got the Hafele glass top 4 burner hob (J series) in April 2016. After just a year and a half, one of the burners started having a yellow flame and depositing black soot on my utensils. I called the service people who attended promptly. Aparantly the burner is bent and needs replacement ( it's called a 100 burner in their terms ). The cost of this is an astronomical 3000+ and service charges too. I think this is absurd that a burner can be bent out of shape with mere cooking. The panels that surround the burners all look so old and worn out. The knobs have already started peeling off. I am really disappointed by the low quality of the hob. I used to have a stainless steel sun flame gas stove before this, and after 20 years of use still looked sparking new. Will I recommend HAfele ? never. Now the second appliance - the dishwasher. The dishes are always foggy and damp . I have to actually wipe them before putting them away. They are clean however.

Which company is best for inbuilt kitchen appliances?

From large kitchen appliances like Chimney, Dishwashers to small appliances like Toaster, Built In Ovens etc, Kutchina is the best kitchen appliances brand in India. I am using Kutchina Kitchen appliances since last 2 years and I am satisfied with the products. You can browse the Kutchina products here https://www.kutchina.com

If you install an appliance yourself does that mean you loose the warranty?

I purchased a Fisher & Paykel Double DishDrawer and was offered a discount of $200 off the $1800 price tag. This was about 2 years ago. It has since broken down. The electrician asked me who installed it. And I said I got a builder in to do that. He then told me that because I did that and not the store who sold it to me I had voided my Warranty. Is this seriously true? I can't find anything on the commerce commission website that says this is so. If this is correct which it sounds like it is then i'm pretty peeved. I should have just brought a second hand one instead of new which i'm sure would of cost me a whole lot less. Any answers would be greatly appreciated as i'd like to know for future purchases. BTW it ended up that mice had chewed threw the hoses and so that wasn't covered in a warrenty or my insurance. Because water then flooded the machine it's pretty much kaput. An expensive showpiece!! fyi double F&P dishdrawers are expensive to fix in my experience, like most european cars.

What brand should I stick to when buying home appliances?

Well for a washer dryer set I recommend Maytag. In 44 years I have had 3 sets of Maytag and NO REPAIRS.

Dishwasher, I recommend KITCHEN AID In 35 years the Frigidaire lasted 6 years and two ;Kitchen aids have lasted at least 15 years each. I cannot remember when I got the current on. But I keep it really clean in the bottom so it still does a great job.

lI like Kenmore for a stove and the Microwave/ hood. By combining those two you do not take up counter space.

I think I have a Frigidaire refrigerator, but previously had a GE model that was still running after 28 years.

When I upgraded all of these appliances we dropped out electric bill $100.00 a month. We also changed to all fluorescent throughout the house. Our hot water heater is 35 years old and still works great. I know we could save more on the electric bill but it works so well, I hate to spend the money when it isn't necessary just now.

We also have a 5 ton heat pump by TRANE, at 9 years 11 month and one week out compressor went out
It was replaced for free the warrantee was for 10 years. ASTOUNDING DON'T YOU THINK.

What is a good home appliance brand?

Frigidaire is a good brand. I do not know who told you they break down easily. All appliance will break, but as an appliance repair tech I can say some seem to have a lot more problems than others.

Which ones should you choose? It really depends on your budget. Frigidaire is a good brand, Electrolux is Owned by Frigidaire. I would stay far away from LG and Samsung though. For me the best would be Whirlpool or Kitchen aid. They are by far the most dependable, and when they do break they are the easiest and cheapest to repair.

Stay away from Kenmore, not because they are bad appliances, but because nobody makes "Kenmore", A Kenmore is either a Whirlpool or a Frigidaire, the only difference is that you pay a lot more for it because it says Kenmore.

Like wise Maytag is a glorified Whirlpool, It is identical, but because they put the name Maytag on it the can sell it for a premium. Whirlpool bought Maytag a few years back, and a few years before that Maytag bought Amana, So really a Maytag and or Amana Unit is a Whirlpool, Jenn Air, a Maytag brand is also a glorified Whirlpool
Hope that helps

Where in Portugal can one buy at less best cost Bosch models of home appliances? Is it cheaper to buy in some Euro country nearby? I am looking to buy a fridge, a big plasma TV, an oven, got water unit, (esquentador) microwave, washer & dryer.

Dear Maria the first place I look for anything significant is KuantoKusta.pt. Wherever you live in Portugal because carriage cost for the things you want will be lower than other countries. There, you will find out if it’s available in Portugal and its price, here. Check the carriage cost. Then, go to Amazon UK, Spain and Germany. Do the same. Amazon will give you a good idea of prices (they compare different sellers) and you may get an indication of price differences between those countries - including carriage.Consider hiring a van if you find an online shop(s) in a major Portuguese/Spanish city.I guess you have already Googled “comprar . . .” but the suggestions, above, give you a systematic and definitive way to get back to having a life and to avoid grief x
