Are There Seagulls In Qatar

What kind of desert animals live in Qatar?

There are plenty of places that are defined as a desert that are cold. A desert has to do with the amount of rainfall an area gets, not with the average yearound temperature. Just like a rainforest can be in a temperate area (like oregon) - that definition is about amounts of precipitation, not about temperature. If you're question has to do with an animal native to cold area moving to warm areas, generally it's not over one generation. if you suddenly threw a polar bear into the desert it would die. However, the tiger is a cold weather animal that migrated into areas long ago that are tropical. The bengal tiger was originally designed to live in temperate forests but adapted to a tropical environment over time.

What can I do (for fun) in Doha, Qatar besides Islamic Art Museums?

Beyond run of the mill malls and shopping centers, below are some picks (not in any order) to have some fun:Desert Safari - You’re in a desert but it’s hard to realize that you’re in one when you’re in Doha. Escape Doha’s manic urban construction maze and hit the desert. A 4X4 (Toyota Land Cruisers and Nissan Patrols are the most common) should get all the adrenaline pumping when you surf the sand waves. Added Bonus - If it’s winter, stay put in a night tent in the middle of sandy nowhere and gaze at the stars while tearing apart a grilled lamb.Shahaniya Camel Race Track - If you’re fortunate, you can experience a camel race. Be taken aback by robot riders riding the camels while camel owners control the robots from their cars! The past and present collide in unusual ways here.Souq Waqif and Corniche - Enter the Souq (market) and relive old school shopping. This complex is quite a labyrinth - so turn off your GPS and explore at ease while you wade through narrow passage ways. You can haggle your way buying clothes, dry fruits, nuts, spices, halwa, cookery and more. Don’t miss out on the pets market! Some great places to eat spanning a variety of cuisines raging from Indian to Mediterranean. Try the Yemeni restaurant by the side of the Souq and top it up with a Mediterranean sweet called Kunafa from Al Aker Sweets. And don’t forget to take a stroll along the Corniche once you’re done with some great food.Grand Mosque - Take a tour of Doha’s massive Grand Mosque. Unique architecture, great views of the city and a mesmerizing interior - not extravagant or lavish but gives you a feeling of grandeur. You can take a guided tour over the weekend to get a glimpse into Qatari and Islamic culture.Aspire and Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Parks - Transplanted greenery in the middle of the desert - 2 of Doha’s best parks. You can take a jog or just relax on the grass. You can also hear some hidden birds chirping in the trees in Aspire Park - they are just tweeters programmed to pipe bird sounds throughout the park. If you can’t bring a bird to the desert, you can bring the chirp at least.

Whats a reasonable price for a Indian Ringneck Parakeet/Parrot?

I had one a while ago, but it flew away after a moment of madness by my mother thinking it would "enjoy some fresh air".

But anyway back then I paid something like £10 for one. I went in the pet shop today (this is abroad in Qatar) and the guy had two, didnt speak very good english, but said they cost something like £200 pounds each.

I dont know if they were trained to speak or what not but what is a reasonable price these days for one of them, and how about the price of an African Grey in comparison?
