* No doubt this will not be a well received or popular response. :-) ~~~~~ There are unique moments, when the Truth reveals itself unto human beings. Inquisitiveness and curiosity can sometimes be such a beautiful thing. In this particular instance it is indeed a beautiful thing! - For the most part your observation is correct. - Absolutely everything goes through refinement. Everything goes through a process of distillation. Everything goes through the fire of change. The light is always realized within the darkness. When the darkness is finally dispelled, all that will remain is "The Light". What you speak of is known as the beginning-less beginning. This was the beginning of Pure Consciousness. Consciousness intermingling and finally recognizing itself. When pure consciousness knew itself, there developed a need to share this pure consciousness. Man was created so as to share this pure consciousness. Only man has been given all the tools necessary to experience this pure consciousness and commune with it. It has been said that within this divine communion one will experience "unconditional love". Enlightenment is small fragment that is contained within "unconditional love". It is up to man to experience this divine communion. * footnote - What is spoken of above occurred eons before the creation of the heavens and the earth. In some circles this early period was known as the 'age of darkness'. This old fool asks for God's forgiveness if anything has been spoken of in error. Peace be always with you, Salaams,

What does a dream mean when I sleep with another man?

You left a lot of unanswered questions on the table. The best thing would have been to write the dream. You mentioned another man, so I can assume you are married or at least with someone you care about. If the man you slept with is someone you know it could fall into wish fullfillment and a curiosity of what the two of you might be like. If it is a man you have never seen before it may be a creation of your own on the best man you believe is truly meant for you.If it is the second, don’t worry about your man, because he will never live up to the expectation of your super man. If it is the first that is nothing to worry about because we can be attracted to other people even if we love someone in particular. Thinking about it or dreaming about it doesn’t mean you will act upon it. But if you do, then it is your willingness to break the agreement you have with your man. Both happen all the time and is expected, it is how you respond to the experience that can either help you to grow in your understanding of self or destroy any relationship you could have.(I read the other three answers given to you at this time, none of them I would say should even be allowed to answer if they weren’t going to take you seriously)

How long does "sleeping through the night" REALLY mean?

My DH and I have been feeling like we're doing something wrong because our 10-1/2 month old still doesn't sleep through the night. Most of our friends & family tell us that their babies either are or did sleep through the night by the time they were _ months old (always younger than our daughter of course).

I wrote off all of this as lying or exaggerating until my sister recently told me that a doctor friend of hers told her that sleeping through the night really meant sleeping for a six-hour stretch.

Is that true? Is "sleeping through the night" really mean only a 6-hour uninterrupted sleep shift? If that's the case, she sleeps through the night and has since she was 3 months old.

However, she gets up at least one time a night when she's not teething, and it's usually about 7-8 hours after she goes to sleep. What's your opinion on how long "sleeping through the night" really means?

Sleep: Does waking up for the first time in the morning mean that your body already had enough of sleep?

There's a great answer here that covers the neurological side of things: What happens neurologically that causes us to wake up from sleep? To really understand this you need to know a little bit about the sleep cycle. When you sleep, you go through the stages of the sleep cycle, each of which do different things to the body.NREM stage 1: Sleepers are generally unaware that they are asleep and can be woken very easily.NREM stage 2: Sleepers become gradually harder to awaken.NREM stage 3: Slow wave sleep - actually contains stages 3 and 4 of the cycle. Sleepers are in a very deep sleep, this is when things like night terrors or sleep walking occur.REM: Rapid eye movement sleep, this is where dreams occur, and is thought to be the most important stage of sleep. Muscles are paralysed and body temperature and respiratory rate are unregulated. You generally progress through the stages like this: 1 - 2 - 3/4 – REM - 3/4 - 2 – 1You can be woken at any part of the cycle but it becomes increasingly more difficult the closer to REM you are, if you’ve ever been woken from REM or stages 3 or 4 you’ll know how groggy you can feel.Once you finish a cycle, you generally wake momentarily to shift body position or survey your surroundings. This happens multiple times per night, you generally only remember one or two.The other part to this question is the circadian rhythm and sunrise. You’re probably aware your body has an internal ‘clock’ of sorts. It’s what makes you wake up a minute before your morning alarm. So putting it all together: You’re moving through the sleep cycle, as you come closer to the time you normally get up or to a level of light your body associates with sunrise you move further out of the cycle into NREM1 where you become aware of the sun or time and you wake up!TL;DR So no, it’s not really important, it’s just your body doing what it’s meant to, yes you’ll benefit from getting up if you’ve woken at the end of the cycle rather than in the middle, but if you can add another 90 minutes to when you first wake up, then feel free!

What does sleep fast(quick) mean?

You asked this several different ways. I'll take the question in bold, because I think that's how you have probably heard it. Sometimes my wife will encourage me to "sleep fast." It's a nonsense saying because it is impossible to do. But if you are really tired, and really need a lot of sleep, but you know you have to get up sooner than you are going to want to, someone may encourage you to "sleep fast"--that is, get a lot of sleep in a short period of time. As I said, it doesn't make sense, but it is meant to be encouraging.

Why do we work in day time and sleep in night? Why not vice versa?

Many do work at night and sleep during the day. They are called shift workers.

The origin of this custom seems to lie in the early days of the occurrence of man. At that time there were those who were agrarian and those who were hunter gatherers. It is difficult to plow a field in the dark or harvest in the dark. Therefore they worked in the day when they could see and slept at night. Further, animals who are predatory in nature hunt at night and would present a hazard to anyone outside after dark. It just made more sense to work in the day and sleep at night. This custom has been ingrained in mankind and persists to this day even though today man can work at night just as easily as he can during the day.

Experiments involving a man living in a cave for an extended period of time has shown that the normal diurnal cycle does not coincide with the work sleep cycle of man. The work sleep cycle of a man is something less than 24 hours. It therefore follows that our practice of working in the day and sleeping at night is a custom and not something ingrained in the DNA of a man.

What does this mean "asleep in Christ"???

The bible says awaken sleeper awaken from that sleep, Christ Jesus, drug ALL with HIm to the cross, to the death, burial and resurrection. There are those that still sleep because they have not Believed the TRUTH, they are still religious/worldly. carnal minded, read the bible literally, of mans ways and mans traditions, following man. Our teacher and helper is the Holy Spirit within us, the kingdom of God is within, nothing is without, He returns from within us, each man in his turn. Those awaken is Christ are already awaken and having their being and moving in Christ, those asleep from within, the grave is within not without, not a literal grave, and there is where the sleepers are in Christ, All is in Christ, ALL!!! There are those that are awaken whether they be in the body still or not, and there is those asleep, have not woken up within, in that soil/earth body for Christ to grow and raise up, the Christ seed is in everyman, whether awaken from that grave and growing or still dorment, asleep, within. Christ comes from within us all, that seed awaken grows and grows and transforms us into Christ likeness. That's why He comes to awaken the sleeper first, because the rest of us are already awaken to truth and moving and having our being in Him. Living from heavenly realms already. He does not come in literal clouds, the bible is in parables and allegories and only the Holy Spirit can reveal what the scriptures are saying, a natural man does not know what the scriptures are saying, reading it with the carnal mind and not the Christ mind. All are asleep in Christ til they awaken from that sleep, all! The grave is within, heavens is within, garden of eden is within, the two trees are within, depends on which tree you are feeding off of daily, Kingdom of god is within, all is within in Spirit, we are a spirit being, we are not this body.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” What did Einstein really mean?

I don’t recall where and from whom I learned this story about Einstein and the value of imagination being more important than knowledge . . . but here it is:When Einstein was in third grade, his habit of continually looking out at the sky annoyed his teacher so much that she finally decided to put an end to it!Interrupting her instruction, she walked down the aisle, stood near his desk and said, “Albert, stop staring out at the sky. You’re not setting a good example for your classmates. I’m going to give you an assignment and want you to complete it before the end of the day.”Always respectful and courteous, Einstein said, “Yes, teacher!”She added, “Albert, I want you to add the numbers from one to a hundred and give me the answer before you go home today. By that I mean 1 plus 2 plus 3 plus 4 plus 5 . . . all the way up to 96, 97, 98, 99, 100. Don’t use paper and pencil. Do it in your head. I want the answer before the end of the day. Do you understand, Albert?”Always respectful and courteous, Einstein said, “Yes, teacher!”Then she walked back up the aisle to the front of the room; turned around to resume instructing; and Einstein had his hand raised. So she said, “What’s the matter, Albert? Are you having difficulty with your assignment?”Einstein said, “Oh no, teacher! The answer is 5,050!”Stunned that he could get the answer so quickly she said, “Albert, that's the correct answer. How did you do that?”He said, “While you were walking up to the front of the room, I looked out at the sky . . .” to which she said, “I told you not to do that.” He courteously interrupted saying, “. . . and I saw the number one in the clouds, and right next to it the number two . . . then three, four, five all the way to 96, 97, 98, 99, 100. Then I grabbed numbers 1 and 100; added them; got 101; did the same with 2 and 99 / 3 and 98 / 4 and 97 / 5 and 96 . . . and knowing there are 50 pairs in 100 . . . and they’re all 101 . . . I multiplied 50 times 101 . . . and got 5,050.”At that point Albert Einstein’s third grade teacher realized Albert could teach the class!Imagination instantly led him to the answer!

What does the expression the "Great I Am" mean to you?

There are really two things, the Self and the Ego which covers the true Self.
The true Self, the soul of man, is one with God, as a tiny piece of a broken mirror is still a mirror.
When Jesus called us the children of God he also said, "Ye are gods."

The Ego is that part of you which you have added onto yourself, the identity and pride you have in what you perceive to be a person separate from others and better than others. The Ego has selfishness as one of its defects. Most of the Ego's actions are fashioned to pump up the sense of pride and gain objects, people, fun, and enjoyment for itself. It feeds on ambition, gold, pride, sexual fulfillment and collecting possessions.

So when you say that God has called himself "I Am" He is saying that the core Being of both Himself and us is a stainless, unattached, kind, pure creature, the shining mirror of light. Gone is the dust of Ego, the silly strivings to own possessions and best others. All that is left is the pure Consciousness and total Joy of Being, the great "I Am."

Why we dream in sleep and what is their connection with our real life?

From the perspective of Buddhism, causes and formations of dreams fall into ten categories:1. Dreams caused by form.Because in our present and past, by our faculty ofsight, we have seen sceneries, things, events andcolours in our world, thus dreams are formed.2. Dreams caused by feelings.Because of all the feelings in our present and past, such as feelings of anguish, feelings of happiness, feelings that are neither painful nor happy, etc, dreamsare therefore formed.3. Dreams caused by thinking.Because we are always thinking about the past and thefuture, reminiscing, having wishful plans and evenindulging in fantasies, dreams are therefore formed.4. Dreams caused by mental activity.Because of all that we have done through our body, speech and mind, or because our body and mind areexhausted from too much travelling during the day oroverworking, dreams are therefore formed.5. Dreams caused by consciousness.Dreams that are formed by all that we havedistinguished in our past and present.6. Dreams caused by illness.Because of the imbalance of the four elements (earth, water, fire and wind) of our body, various ailmentsoccur and cause dreams.7. Dreams caused by past karma.Dreams caused by all the virtuous and evil karmicseeds that have been stored in our eighth consciousness(also known as alaya-consciousness or alaya-vijñana4)through aeons of past rebirths.8. Dreams caused by karmic effectBecause we bear all the karmic causes that we havecreated in our past, this can bring about a premonitionof the retributive effects that are to happen in future, which forms dreams.9. Dreams caused by emotions.Because we are bound to worldly emotions such asaffection between family members, romantic love andstrong friendship between people, therefore physicalseparation brings about a stimuli-response which forms dreams.10. Dreams caused by compassionate response from enlightened beings. For the sake of purifying the world, guiding andemancipating beings; Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, sagesand enlightened ones are always caring for sentientbeings. Thus, dreams are manifested by theenlightened beings’ compassionate response.
