Are we born with the Holy Spirit?
No we are born with a spirit..When we are born again through accepting the atonement of Jesus Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit which is God. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. You are first born of water born from your mother (flesh.) Then when you accept the atonement you are a new man born of spirit. (Holy Spirit) 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 1 Cor. 15: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. The first man Adam was born fo flesh the first born of the Spirit is Jesus. We are created first flesh and the spirit. The new man is spirit. It is through the atonement we can becomes sons of the living God through the spirit.
What means being born again of water and the spirit?
When man was first created, he was made in the image of God. (Adam made in God's image). But God said not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil or you'll die. Well man ate of the tree and died. Death Simply means separation. So therefore man was spiritually separated from God. And that set the course of sin, bc from then on man became born in the image of Adam (with sin nature). Jesus' mission was to bridge that gap (separation) between man and God through the cross. And he did just that! Now that you know all that, being born again can be (in simple form) being reborn to the way God intended you to be. More less, you are now in the image of God (pure, clean, forgiven, etc) rather than being/living in the image of man (sin, etc). Side notes (extra): This is what happens! The bible clearly states through Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21, and several others that baptism is necessary. [ being baptized is not a work but it's obedience ]. Peter commanded it in Acts 2 & 8 and so did Paul in Acts 19, likewise so did John the baptist and Jesus in the gospels. Alont with this is remission of sins, (repenting of sin). Repent is a military word in which a soldier would walk in one direction and then "repent" or walk in the complete opposite dirrection. Meaning, once we lived in sin...now we repent of sin and do our absolute best to live for God. And that's when Jesus' spirit comes and lives IN us (Holy Spirit). And we know he has control over us bc he takes control over the thing we, ourselves, can't control, what's that? Our tongue (James 3:8)!! He speaks through us in a heavenly language exactly like what happened in Acts 2:4. James 3 talks about we humans can tame animals with a small bit in their mouth, we can move a giant ship with a small rudder, but not the tongue...God has to take care of that part of us bc the tongue is evil. When you die does your spirit go into a new born baby?
Nope, it goes into the Yahoo Answers archives, where it joins the other 5,000 instances of people asking "What happens after you die?" Seriously though, it depends on which afterlife dogma you want to accept. Some schools of reincarnation say that the human soul gets reborn like that, older schools of reincarnation say that it could go to a different species or break off reincarnation and become one with Brahma, depending on your life's karma. Then of course you have other religions like the ancient Egyptians who say you stand before Ma'at where your hearth is weighed against a feather, or the Norse who say you go to Valhalla, and so on, or even other religions that say pretty much nothing happens. There are about as many different answers to this question as there are different religions. And of course all of them, purely speculative.
We are all joined by a silver cord to our spiritual home? What does it mean?
Too many questions. Our spirit is our real "us"! It is the person who lives in the body connected through our soul. A spirit that is not "born again" is dead to God. It is the "second" birth where our spirit becomes alive unto God through Jesus. Otherwise a dead spirit will not be with God for eternity. To spiritual warfare: Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. The silver cord connected to your spirit is referring to astral projection, which is very dangerous. It is when you cause your spirit to leave your body usually through witchcraft. Lot of people got killed this way not coming back, including the head of the satanic church Anton LaVey. I would recommend staying away from this. People think all this spiritual talk and believe is just make believe, but it is not, it is more real than what you can see. The bad thing is that most wil find out when it is too late.
