Are You Glad They Are Making Another Friday The 13th Film

How do I discipline my 13 year old daughter? Everything I try backfires.?

I want to say thank you to all of you who have given me such great answers. I feel so much better. I really like hearing from the young girls who are still in middle school and high school, too. It's helpful to hear from people around her age. Thank you all so much for taking the time to answer so many of my questions and give your opinions. Even the one about spanking her, like I should have done when she was in pigtails. A lot of people believe in that, and I know that's what my sisters and I got when we were little.

It's going to be soooooo hard to choose a best answer because they are all so great.

How old were you when you watched your first horror film and what was it?

The Exorcist (1973)I was 10 years old when this movie was released in NYC and begged my mom to take me and my brother to go see it. I can't tell you how many times I fell asleep with the lights on or how much I looked forward to Sunday Mass after watching this movie. I did take pleasure in tormenting my little brother (I take my job as a big brother seriously). Any time he asked me a question, instead of turning my body to face him I would spin only my head in his direction and whisper, "help me". His face would fill with horror and he'd run out of the room crying to my mother declaring that I was possessed.Photo Courtesy @The Exorcist (film)Trailer:Premise:"...actress Chris McNeil (Ellen Burstyn) begins noticing strange and frightening behavioral changes in her daughter Regan (Linda Blair)  such as constant swearing and abnormal strength. When medicine fails,  Regan is given a few unpleasant tests, but X-ray results prove  "negative" much to the confusion of the doctors. In reality, Regan is  now possessed because of a Ouija board..."I'm glad I came across this question because for the longest time I thought @Trilogy of Terror (TV Movie 1975) with Karen Black and the Yai Yai Man, was the first horror movie I saw.

I am looking forward to meet you is it correct?

It should be “to meeting you”. “Look forward” requires an object - a noun that explains what you’re looking forward to. So “to meet”, in this sentence, isn’t the infinitive form of the verb “meet”, even though it looks the same. We need a noun (for example, “I am looking forward to summer”), not a verb, so you have to add “-ing” to the end of the verb “meet” to turn it into a “gerund” - a “nounified” verb.So your sentence should be “I am looking forward to meeting you.”(By the way, “looking” isn’t a gerund in this sentence; “am looking” is the progressive present form of “look”, which shows that the action is continuing right now.)

Do you feel depressed after watching horror movies?????????? :/?

It sounds like you are a compassionate person! I know what you mean, though. I like the thrills, but if I start to think about what the people feel like or how I would feel it makes me kinda sad. The key is distance, and knowing that this is just imagination. Besides, people have historically been through the most amazing horrors, but human life still goes on and hope always prevails!

BTW, I feel the same way when I watch some of these reality shows... without the relief of knowing that it's fiction :P

What in your opinion was the best decade for horror movies?

the 1980's. i am glad u asked this question bcz i think the new generation doesnt have the imagination of hooror as the older generation. rob zombie made two stupid halloween tht made no sense at all. the texas chainsaw had a lot of reboots and remakes but lucky me, i got the three originals on DVD(texas chansaw massacre 3D out this summer- trey songz as the hero of this film).
halooween was much scarier with jamie lee curtis in the first original by john carpenter. i want to see The Fog and pyscho. bcz for every horror fan, we gotta see these.
HALLOWEEN TO THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
