At A Concert Is Security Allowed To Let You In The Venue Early

How early should I arrive to a concert?

Hi Lauren,
You should get there at least 2 hours early.
You need to get their before regular fans.
You probally wont be able to beat the obsessed fans.
You will need to get through security.
That will slow the line down.
You need to get there before alot of people are there.
Great bands are going to be at that concert.
So the place will be packed full of people.
You dont want to get there more than 2 hours early though.
You dont want to be bored and waiting.
You should get their 2 hours early so you can gat something to eat and drink, find your seat, and make sure you are ready.
You wont be able to find your seet if there is too many people.Make it easy by going 2 hours early and doing everything before other people get there.
While your their early, you should stop at the sovenier shop if its open, and buy something memorable.
There will be a huge line if you do that during a break or after the concert.
Dont bring anything that the security peoples wont allow.
That will not only get you in trouble, but you will loose what you brang and you wont be able to see the concert.
Before you go,make sure you have a phone, camera, your tickets, money, binoculars,a video camera or/and a camera so you wont have to go back and get it and those things will make the concert more fun.
There will be a line before the concert so I would get their at 4:oo at the latest and 3:30 at the earliest time.
Get a good sleep so that you are not tired.
3:00 might be a little too early.
So go 2 hours early.
Save yourself time.
Save yourself some exitement.
Get what your money was worth.
I hope this helped!
I hope you enjoy the concert!
Have Fun!

How early should I arrive for a concert?

To know when to show up, you need to ask yourself some questions -Is there an opening act? Do you want to see them? : if you do, I recommend being at the venue within an hour before the main act comes on. They usually take up that time frame to let the main performers get ready.Where’s the venue? Is parking a hassle?: usually with big performances, come even bigger venues, which hold more people and have even more traffic. So not wanting to get stuck in the mentioned traffic, I recommend an hour to the main performance as well because people lag and are late. It’s only human nature. But you, and a bunch of other super fans who absolutely cannot wait, can rise above and get there before the crowd. (Also: if you’re parking. Make sure, if the venue has you pay for parking in advance. Pay.) ((However; a helpful recommendation/tip from me is to have someone drop you off at the concert and pick you up. You avoid the struggle of finding parking and you’re in there within minutes. Same for you’re out of there in seconds and can just avoid the parking lot in general with a bit of walking)If you don’t really care about who’s opening for them (and at times there aren’t) what time does the actual artist/band usually come on to do their set?: i recommend looking at past concerts/tour stops to be sure, and making sure you’re there at least a half hour before the main act starts because you want to be able to have found your seat, got parking, actually made it inside and even if you want to buy something like a shirt or a drink (the lines are long but getting closer to when the set starts, the line will be shorter. Just a little helpful hint from me to you. If you hear screaming, run (well not really that’s a safety hazard) to your seats. My best recommendation - if you can, and don’t want to be late, be there an hour or 45 minutes early. They’ll be letting people in by then and really, worse thing that’ll happen is you’ll have to wait some time until the actual concert starts. Though it’s not a problem and definitely worth it, because you can have time to buy things, hang out, take some pictures etc…

If you arrive late to a concert, will they let you in? Or if you leave the concert early and return back, will they let you back in?

If you arrive late will they let you in? Normally yes, but occasionally no. The no would be for shows where it’s important not to disturb the flow of the evening so this is more likely to be for drama or some comedy. Concerts are normally ok. Indeed, if you don’t want to see the support act(s) and are only interested in the headliner then it’s quite usual to arrive late, sit in the bar for a while then only go in the auditorium when the main act is about to start. Is it ok to go out and then in again? It depends on what you mean by “leave the concert”. If you mean “leave the auditorium” then usually that is fine. People need to go to the toilet and everyone would much rather you did that in the facilities provided than on the floor, so that’s all fine. From the venue’s point of view they make most of their money from bar sales so they’d love you to go out of the auditorium as often as possible if it’s to visit the bar and spend money. The band will be less happy if you draw focus to the person walking out and away from the artists on stage, so leave using the least obvious route furthest away from the stage Also, the people sitting along the row from you will be annoyed if they have to keep having to stand up while you push past them, so if you think you might want to do this then try to get a seat near and end of a row. Overall the usual answer is “yes” to leaving the auditorium. If you mean “leave the venue and return later” (maybe watching the first act then going to a nearby restaurant for a meal then returning for the headliner) then this is a big “no” most of the time. 3 reasons: firstly they want you to spend all your money in the venue and not elsewhere, secondly you could give your ticket to someone else while you’re out so they’ve let 2 people in but only sold one ticket and thirdly you have to go through security checks all over again when you’ve already been checked once before. It reads from your comments that you just want to miss one of the acts on the bill and maybe sit that section out in the bar. If that’s the case you should be absolutely fine.

How to get into the pit at concerts?

Won't happen. There will be ushers that will check your ticket if you try to get inside the pavilion. Once they see you have a lawn seat they will send you away.

Is it possible to move up during a concert?...and how??

I like ya Style! I would be trying to move up too! There are two ways you can play this>>You can either get to the concert really early and grab the available seat that you want. And if someone bothers you just slightly show them the ticket stub and tell them row#_chair#_ is your seat!!

Or you can get wait until the concert gets started and find you a closer open seat and go take it!!

If I have specific seats at a concert, can I go in General Admission standing area instead?

I'm going to a concert at The Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. I have reserved Balcony seating, which is in the back, really far from the stage. Could I stand in General Admission Area to get near the stage (by getting to the venue early enough) even though I already have tickets for the Balcony seating? Thanks :)
