Audition Songs For Peter Pan Jr

Peter Pan Audition Song (Wendy)?

I have played Wendy in Peter Pan twice and Peter once in the past two years. I highly suggest whimsical, upbeat songs. I auditioned for Wendy with Part of your world, from the little mermaid.
I would highly reccomend this song. Both songs that you mentioned are semi-overdone for this role, particularly Memory. I would suggest looking at some other, lesser known songs:
The world above - Little mermaid
If only(quartet, Ariel's part) - Little Mermaid
I wish - Home the Musical
The Girl I mean to Be - The Secret Garden
Little Lamb - Gypsy
In my Own little Corner - Cinderella
Out of my dreams - Oklahoma!
I'll Try - Peter Pan: return to neverland

This said....let her sing what she feels most comfortable with. If she likes Memory and Goodnight My Someone then by all means let her sing them...she should be as comfortable as possible. going into this audition. have her watch the Cathy Rigby Peter Pan on Youtube, here is part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSMCSaDF2...
Have her read the James Barry book.
And by all means have her read the script. I have it if you would like me to email it to you. I also have the sheet music for all of the songs that I mentioned if you would like any of all of the sheets.
My email is musicmaddness20@yahoo.com and I am happy to help with anything you may need...I promise I am not a cheat or a liar...just a high schooler trying to get sheet music and help people who love theater.

Good luck to her...it is a phenomenal and amazingly fun show to be in...I always wanted to play a pirate or lost boy...those roles are almost cooler than Wendy or Peter...except for the flying...flying is SO cool...Prepare her for the fact that she may not get a lead, but that smaller roles in this show are not so small...Try for Wendy, Peter, Jane or a speaking lost boy part...she could qualify for any of them, and let us know what she gets!!! Good luck girlie!

Audition song for Peter Pan?

I m auditioning for Peter Pan (I m a girl) and I m having trouble finding a song to audition with. I was thinking Don t rain on my parade, but I m not sure. I m not really a pro at this. Let me know if that s a good song and if not can you give me some songs to audition with?

Female audition songs for Peter in Peter Pan?

I am SUPER excited that my usual theater is putting on Peter Pan soon. The director loves the Cathy Rigby version and is using the tradition of casting a female as Peter.

I can sing alto and soprano (the lowest I've sang is E below middle C. The highest is something like F four octaves above middle C).

Suggestions?

Peter Pan Audition song?

Hook may not be the best role for you, but it'd be great to experiment with if you want to broaden your horizons. None of the roles require you to go very high or very low, and as a mezzo your very versatile, so vocally you can be pretty much anyone. you're a great height for any character except maybe captain Hook, too short, but otherwise I really wouldn't worry about it. Here are some audition songs (since you have two male characters I used male songs for those characters)

Peter: Giants in the Sky (Into The Woods) Kite (charlie Brown)
Wendy: On The Steps on the Palace (ITW), Green finch Linnet Bird (Sweeney) Home (B&theB)
Hook: Agony (ITW) Cool (West Side Story) If I Were A Rich Man (Fiddler)
Tink: Green finch Linnet Bird (Sweeney) Come to Your Senses (Tick Tick Boom), Fine, Fine Line (Avenue Q), Funny Honey (Chicago)

Audition song for Mulan in Mulan Jr.?

I need a great tryout song for the role of Mulan which I am auditioning for this summer. It MUST be a Disney song. I want something that not everybody is going to pick so that I have a chance of standing out to the judging panel in short no part of your world please. I would also like it to reflect (haha) the characteristics of Mulan. I appreciate your opinions and thanks so much in advance!

Tinkerbell Audition Song?

Hey!:) I'm May my community theatre is doing Peter Pan Jr. I REALLY want to be Tinkerbell. So, I have two questions.

1) Tinkerbell is said to be "full sized and able to speak" so, would a little kid be cast? Or could a 5'5" 14 play her?

2) what audition song would be good for her? I'm a mezzo soprano.

Thanks in advance:)

Xoxo, Audri

I am auditioning for Peter Pan Jr. and really want to be Tinkerbell. I need help finding an audition song.?

"I Hate Men" (from Kiss Me, Kate) would be hilarious for your audition. If you feel like it's too belty for you, I also suggest "The Girl I Mean To Be" (from The Secret Garden). You can also check out this link, which has lots of good audition songs for altos. Just remember to make sure they're age appropriate!

Audition songs for Wendy darling?

Although "Sympathy, Tenderness" is a good song, I would not sing it for an audition for Wendy Darling. Although Wendy is usually portrayed by an older actress, the character is played younger, so singing a song that makes your voice sound younger is probably a better idea for this audition. However, the song you sing should be in the style of the show. Usually the creative team for the production prefers for the actor to not sing a song from the show, but it depends. Also, most theaters do not want to hear an entire song, usually a 16/32 bar cut or a minute is required. This information is generally posted on the website along with any other requirements (monologue/side, apparel, etc.): if it isn't, definitely ask when you sign up for the audition. As for registering, usually the actor emails/calls the theater and signs up for an audition time slot (generally 10-15 minutes), or a large open call audition that can take more time. However, it might be different, so ask. Good Luck!
