On a 2004 Ford Focus, where is the AUX input jack for iPods and MP3 players?

No, there is no jack. That means you can put MP3 files on a CD and put the CD into the player and it will read it and play. By putting MP3 files on a CD you can put a lot more songs on a CD. That's all that means. You have to get a aftermarket stereo

What model year did the Ford Explorer add an aux input jack?

I will suggest you find the best Ford explorer you like, and don't worry about the auxiliary input jack
find the best color ,engine, seats, Low miles service records do a car fax because the aux input is going to narrow your options a lot, since the auxiliary port only comes in the 2009 and up

but here is the solution you can purchase the aux input jack for any year Ford Explorer and installl it later, this are simple to connect to the back of the factory radio, they are plug and play
if you purchase an Explorer without the aux jack this are the adapter that you need

What would cause a popping/crackling sound in one of my stereo speakers?

Most popping or crackling sounds in an audio system come from a bad or dirty connections. Sometimes they do come from a faulty unit or component, but in most cases it is a connection issue. Whether that connection is in the connectors, wiring, circuit board or components, or even just a bad solder joint, wherever that connection is, finding it becomes the main issue to tackle. There are some relatively simple methods that can be used to locate it.First identify which part of your audio system has the issue. The fact that it is only in one of your speakers is a huge help in identifying what might be causing the noise. If both channels had the same noise, this method would not work. You can easily identify the source by swapping the channels and seeing if the noise moves or stays on the same channel. For example, swap the channels the speakers are connected to. Does it persist on the same speaker or does transfer to the other? After swapping, if it remains with the same speaker ( other channel), then it is the speaker connections (or the speaker itself) that are problematic. If it is now on the same channel (other speaker), it is somewhere in the system, before the speaker connections. You can continue to swap different components back and forth, swapping channels and work back to where the source and component is identified.Sometimes just connecting and reconnecting the cables and components solves the problem, as the connection is improved. Good luck! One component that usually becomes noisy that way (more of a crackling sound than a popping one)is a potentiometer (also called a ‘pot’, normally volume controls, bass-treble-balance controls, etc.). These can be easily identified by rotating or sliding the controls as the case may be, and listening for the noise. These can be cleaned with the right solvents or sprays.Worst case scenario is a failed or failing component such as a transistor, capacitor, resistor, solder joint (actually solder joints are relatively easily repaired, just identifying the problematic one is the challenge!), etc.Once you have identified the part or unit in the system that is causing the noise, then it will be easier to decide how best to correct the issue (replace or repair).

Does the Mustang 2008 have aux input?

Yes its in the center console

Why won't my car start after fixing a broken serpentine belt?

Ok so first question is the starter rotating the motor like it should and it just wont start or are you turning the key without getting any results. If its not turning over id first off hit the starter solenoid with a soft hammer a few good raps may dislodge a stuck solenoid. Now if the motor is spinning but not firing up my first place id look is the distributor wiring unless it runs coil packs then i would guess that you knocked the wires off the crank sensor or maybe even broke the crank sensor. I am at a disability here not knowing what the vehicle make is., if it died while driving because belt fell off and you ran on battery till it ran out of power. ( a jump start is the ticket in that case ) Honestly im going with the crank sensor or crankshaft position sensor.being the root of your problem because if the belt broke it could easily take out the sensor as belt flew around the front of the motor. But check all your connections and research the crank sensor ..its usually a cheap and easy part to replace if its in a area where belt passes by it that makes sense as to your problem. Ok let me know a bit more info if possible. Dont give up the answer will come

How do I fix my car having a rough idle after replacing the alternator?

You're right to assume that something else going on. Because it is!Personally I'd check to see if the alternator is providing the right amount of voltage. it's not impossible to get the wrong part installed. and when I say that, I don't necessarily mean you chose the wrong part, but during the assembly line a part they grabbed while assembling the alternator could have been or of spec or something. Check the grounds. A lot of the time, over years of use a little sand blasting or sand papering of the hookups does help. while running the engine, disconnect the battery. A poorly performing battery can drag the entire system down. check to make sure your AC ain't causin' problems too. make sure the clutch is spinning or not spinning when not being used. double check the water pump to see if it was messed up. lastly check all your ignition wiring too. depending on the model year and brand, it might be chatty with obd2. if it's carbureted, obviously you won't get any feedback. if it is obd2, there might be information in there that can give you an idea of what's going on. so get a reader and check. also with modern fi engines, they'll run rough after a battery removal for a while. make sure your fuel economy hasn't been affected, if it has, it's a clear indication that something is wrong.
