Back Right Tooth Pain

Upper right back tooth hurts A LOT?

my upper right tooth (2nd from wisdom teeth) has been hurting A LOT for about 5 days now. i went to the dentist yesterday and he said my wisdom teeth are growing in and then did an xray of the other tooth thats been hurting and there was a little cavity so he filled that...but the tooth still hurts! he gave me tylenol 3 for the pain but i dont understand why the tooth hurts. i dont htink its because of the wisdom teeth growing it because then why would only one side hurt? any ideas as to what can be causing the pain in that one tooth?

My back right bottom tooth hurts so bad!?

well like i said my very back bottom right tooth hurts so bad, like its soar not nerve pain. I have braces but theres not even a bracket on that tooth so i dont think its that, and i havent got my braces tightened for like 2 weeks, also i have rubberbands that go from my "canine teeth" in the front to my 2nd to last bottom teeth (i havent been wearing them for 2 days because i was out) so that could be it i think? so this tooth isnt completely out of my gums, in the back of it its covered with my gums. all over it is really soar, it hurts constantly and especially bad when i open my mouth, even my ear hurts and jaw bone, plus the gums around it are swollen and something on my neck is swollen i think its my glans, but anyway i want to know whats causing my outh so much pain! thankyou, and if you can tell my how to releive the pain.

Tooth pain that comes and goes?

A little over a year ago I had a top right wisdom tooth removed and during the x-ray they said that I only had 1 wisdom tooth. I'm 21 going on 22 and I started having really bad tooth pain all the way in the back right side. Do you think that another wisdom tooth could be starting to come in now? I just thought it was weird only having one so I thought maybe the others could grow in late and not show on x-ray last year?

Extreme tooth pain in the middle of the night?

It sounds like there might be an abscess in the tooth that he fixed. Laying on your side and putting pressure on it can aggravate it. I hate to tell you this but you will probably need to have a root canal on that tooth. Unfortunately the pain will not go away, only get worse in time.

More than likely the cavity you had fixed was deep and the dentist probably damaged the nerve when doing the filling. They have to drill the decay out and they don't know exactly where the nerves are in the tooth and it happens. That's why it's good to get cavities taken care of when there small and on the surface.

You need to go back to the dentist and let them test the tooth. They can apply cold to it to see if it's sensitive.
You would probably be better off making an appt. with an Endodontist (dentist who specializes in root canals). He/She will be able to tell right off if there's an abscess and get you treated.
The pain is no fun and more than likely it will start occurring more often.

I've went through a couple of theses and needed root canals. The root canal is not bad considering you will be pain free.

Good Luck.

Sudden tooth pain?

Over the past two weeks, I have pain when I floss between my back lower right tooth and my gold crown right next to it. Now today, all of a sudden, that back tooth is aching pretty bad with pain twinges in the jaw and ibuprofen is not helping.
(All four wisdom teeth were removed three or four years ago.)
Does it sound like my tooth is dying from the inside? This is the type of pain I had before I had to have a root canal on a tooth on the other side of my mouth two years ago.
