What is the best day party you've ever been to?

Coachella festival in California, Full-moon beach party in Thailand, Stereosonic festival in Australia just to name a few.In the last few years I’ve been lucky enough to some of the most exciting parties and festivals. However, even after spending time partying in places like Hollywood and Las Vegas.. I have to admit, to this day the most memorable party I think I’ve ever been to was the 2012 “Hyde Street Keg party” in my home country of New Zealand.Every year thousands of students party from dawn until dusk on a small oneway street in Dunedin, New Zealand. However, in 2012 the madness truly reached its peak. Now the event is regulated with a limited number of tickets, but in 2012 the event attracted its largest crowd ever.With our speaker system and party lights, myself and some other DJ’s set up at a friends flat to provide the beats for the raging crowd. Each flat on the street had it’s own theme with ours being an airline theme. So you can see me below dressed as a pilot.Of course, there were casualties. A lot of alcohol was consumed collectively, and reportedly 80 people were hospitalized, and 1 roof caved in doing $10,000′s worth of damage.However, despite these mishaps the party was one that I will forever remember as being my closest experience to a real life “Project X”.*Disclaimer: Please don’t try this at home.

What was the best birthday party you ever attended?

What was the best birthday party you ever attended? It was Abby’s 12th birthday and she was having a slumber party; my very first. I remember the invitation with the cute girls on the front painting their nails, eating popcorn and watching a movie. It was every thing I envisioned a slumber party to be. It read, “Get ready for a little slumber and a lot of party!” I took it to heart. I really built it all up in my head.It’s been many years ago, but I remember that she was very different from my other friends. She was tall, had flaming red hair, could wear make-up, loved books/horror movies and had an older sister that actually liked her! Her mother was also much older than other mothers of kids my age, at the time. She had worked on the soap opera General Hospital and spent her younger years developing her craft and career. She was in her 40’s when she settled down to have kids. I now understand that her mother’s age attributed to her calmness. I remember her not being phased by anything.The night of the party, we all showed up with our sleeping bags, pillows and favorite nail polishes. We watched “Happy Birthday to Me”, which ended up freaking out some of the other girls…especially when Abby’s older sister would pop into the room with a knife in her hand to scare us. Not cool. We also watched “Animal House” and “Porky’s”, which is kind of odd, seeing that we were a bunch of girls and those are typically frat-boy movies. We ate loads of pizza, bags of skittles/chips and drank coke till we were sick. We painted our nails, talked about school and all the boys we thought were cute. The birthday girl let us know that whomever went to sleep first would get a handful of shaving cream or get her bra put in the freezer. (This girl stayed up until 5:00am the next morning, just to make sure.)By the time I woke up, I was the only one left in the middle of the living room floor. (It was noon.) Her mom was great and said that I looked so peaceful, she didn’t want to disturb me. I called my mom and went home shortly after. It was a night of firsts and, truly, the best birthday party I’ve ever attended. Thanks for the A2A, Jenna.
