I found a big red lump on my scrotum this morning and I'm scared it might be an STD Here are the facts: -There is only one at the moment -I haven't had sexual relations since the end of November 2012 -It's not on my testicles, it's just on my sack -Here is a picture/diagram. A pimple would be red and swollen, and a carbuncle would be large, red, and painful. It could be a wart (they don't have to be sexually transmitted). It could be a skin tag (acrochordon), especially if it looks like it's attached to the skin by an edge or a stalk; these are harmless but can become irritated by friction with clothing, etc.). Whatever it is, if it changes in any way other than shrinking, see your doctor.

Honestly thats completely normal and very common. Its not an STI or anything like that. It tends to fade a little as you get a bit older, but many men have it. I'm not entirely sure what its called but they arent spots or infections or anything. If they were a different colour then i would worry, but the fact that they are the same colour and all over your genital reason is completely unlike any STD or STI. It definately is not herpes, herpes is big, red, painful sores that weep and bleed. If they start hurting see a doctor, but i stress once again that i sincerely doubt this is an STI. I saw a picture of them once in an article about genital warts in Loaded and got incredibly worried as at the time I had these tiny bumps, and I rushed off to the doctors only to find out it was a very inaccurate picture and that this is a normal skin condition. Go and get yourself checked out if you really want, but I'm 99% certain its normal.
Red, itchy bump on shaft of my penis? Help?
So I woke up this morning, took a shower and to my surprise, I find a big red lump on the shaft of my penis which wasnt there the night before. It became irritatingly itchy halfway through the day and has gotten a little bigger. I am sexually active but the last time I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend was more than 6 weeks ago so I dont think it's an STD. However, I did have a bad fungal/ringworm infection recently so I'm wondering if it might just be Jock Itch. But the sore looks nothing like ringworm. It's a big red spot. It looks as if it was a sore from a bee sting. I'm confuzzled... help? D:

Have you had sex yet or are you a virgin. That is critical in this diagnoses. If so it sounds like you have an STD and will need to go to the doctor. If not, give it time and it will most likely heal. I would assume that it could be ingrown hairs. Do you shave your pubes? If so you are not exfoliating you skin. I sometimes get ingrown hairs anyway and they do get puss like a normal pimple. Your not going to have an STD if you havn't had sex, period. The chances of it happening are slim to none. You can rule out herpes if they don't look similar to blisters. Go to google or the like and search for "sebaceous prominence". Look at the symptoms and look at the pictures. It could very well be what you have. It is not an STD and it will not be passed to a sex partner. Sebaceous prominence occurs when skin starts producing excessive oils, in puberty. They can show up on face as well. To my knowledge there is no known treatment for sebaceous cyst on the genitals. I would assume that you may be able to just wash with a anti-oil wash for you face on your areas. I am not sure if this would help, but you can try. If you choose to take this route I recommend a 2% salicylic acid wash. Salicylic is the number one recommended over-the-counter acne wash. Give it a try.
Large bump on scrotum?
Sounds like a tick to me. If you ever get another on you, don't just pull it off, since it leaves its head behind if you do that, and it can get infected or just plain hurt and itch. You should probably see your doctor now, to have it removed safely and completely. You should also be tested now and in 5 or 6 weeks for Lyme disease.... just to be on the safe side!! To remove a tick safely, use narrow, pointy tweezers. Grab the tick near the head, right at skin level. Then, pull it out SLOWLY and carefully, so part of the head or thing that sticks into you doesn't break off.
A large pimple on my scrotum?
It's nothing to worry about. A zit popped up because there was excess oil down there. No biggie. If you haven't had sex then it's not herpes or anything, so you're good. Just make sure that it doesn't get infected, and you can put a hot compress on it if it's sore. One tip, though: don't peel off this new dark red/grey/black "head". If you pick at it, the zit will keep bleeding, and you'll have a greater risk of it leaving a scar. Wait a few days for it to heal and the new "head" (which is dried blood) will come off by itself.

Scrotum connects at mid-shaft?
okay, so when I have an erection, my scrotum skin is connected about 1/3 of the way up my shaft, not at the bottom base. Is anyone else like this? It's really not that big of a deal, I can still penetrate with my whole penis, but it is annoying with condoms because they don't roll down ALL the way. there is still like an inch of bareness at the bottom of the shaft. Basically I just want to know if this is somewhat common?
