Bleach And Urine Am I In Trouble

Dog urine and bleach.?

You are not going to die from the hit, but you would do well to drink lots of water to flush the toxins out. [Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables too.] Yes, bleach and ammonia mixed together is toxic, even diluted. It might not kill you, but it sure makes you feel gross.
For future reference, a good product to use to eliminate the smell of urine is hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Water is H2O, so hydrogen peroxide is water with an extra oxygen molecule. That oxygen is absolutely unbeatable for neutralizing lots of odors, especially urine.
You will have to do multiple applications because the oxygen molecules deplete rapidly in the presence of toxic chemicals. It takes a lot of oxygen to get rid of the smell. You want to mop up any wet urine, and rinse mop super well. Pour H2O2 on the area to be treated (color test a small inconspicuous spot if using on carpet), allow it to sit for a few minutes, then either mop it up or use a water vac to vacuum it up. Repeat this step however many times it takes for the odor to be neutralized. I would suggest treating the undersides of the mats in the same manner. Allowing the mats to air dry outside expediates the process.
Use care with H2O2...that extra oxygen molecule is also wicked on the skin. Flush well any area that comes in contact with the H2O2.

I poured bleach on urine that had been sitting in the toilet for a couple days or more..am I going to be ok?

When I poured bleach in a toilet bowl trying to get rid of a urine smell ( the toilet was clogged and we were waiting on a plumber to come the next morning.) Long story short when I did this it sizzled, and foamed. I have since read you are not suppose to pour bleach on urine that has been sitting out because of the presence of ammonia. Am I in danger now? or would I notice immediately if something was wrong? What are the side effects of inhaling this gas? I didn't think that I really inhaled it as I was facing away from the toilet because the urine smell was so bad, and then just quickly glanced at the toilet when I noticed the sizzling sound then left the bathroom very quickly and shut the door behind me...just wondering if I should see a doctor, I do feel fine, only a soar throat and running nose...but I think that is from a cold or something.

Just cleaned cat urine with bleach, will I be okay?

Bleach is supposed to be mixed 10/1 with water. 1 tablespoon bleach to a cup of water. Fumes are not NOT good for you.

Clean the area up with plain water and if you can breathe properly again you'll be ok. Just don't do that again. Premix bleach with water in a container you are NOT going to eat out of and which has NOT held other chemicals in it.

FYI--putting bleach down a sink that has had drain cleaner used will kill you with toxic gasses. PLEASE read the labels before using chemicals.

Human urine + Clorox Bleach = Fizz and gas?

Ok, so here's what happened.
My mum poured bleach into the toilet this morning to disinfect the toilet. I went to take a leak in the toilet unaware that there was bleach in it. I started hearing this fizzing sound coming from the toilet. I looked down to find that the mixture in the toilet was creating gas bubbles and it looked as if it was boiling as well. I was afraid of what might happen next and quickly flushed the toilet. The whole "fizz moment" lasted for about 1 minute. After flushing the toilet 2 times to get all the mixture out, I left the vent on and closed the bathroom door, to prevent any spread of gases around the house. I started feeling this weird acidic feeling up in my nose buds shortly thereafter. And a headache. I went outside for a minute or two to get some fresh air. And that leads me to here typing out this question.

I think i'll be ok. But how about my 14 year old nephew? He was there when the fizz started and inhaled some air in the bathroom as well. He's having the same symptoms I'm having. What should I do? What are some precautions to take?
