Broken Or Bruised Foot

What's up with my foot? Broken or just bruised?

So I was fixing my bed last night and my friend dropped the pole part of my bed frame onto my foot and it came down pretty hard. I felt like a crack but let it go. It hurt but not as bad as this morning. Now it's a bit swollen just where it was hit and a little difficult to walk. No discoloration. Maybe a little red. If I touch it it hurts like HELL and I feel a sharp pain. I am gonna wait to see if the sweelling goes down or gets worse tomorrow but do you think I might have broken it? Its was on the upper part of my foot, not by the toes.

Is my foot broken or just a bruised bone?

Likely bruised.

Bruised, Broken, or Sprained Foot?

I dropped a vacuum on my foot a week ago (don't ask, it was klutzy), it hurt quite a bit that day, but I was never unable to walk on it. It swelled up quite a bit. Now, one week later my foot is still swollen and it has a weird bruised color to it. One spot on my foot is very painful when I touch it. Could I have bruised it, sprained it, or possibly even broke it? I would like to know whether I should go to the doctor for it.

Sprain, bruised, or broken foot???? i cant tell?

my friend dropped a can of bug spray on my foot and i was barefoot so it hit the top bone in my foot and it hurt immediately it was like a shocking pain. and now its been 2 days and its got a bruise but the bone intself hurts very badly..it hurts to walk and if anything touches my foot it hurts very badly..how do i know if its sprained, bruised BADLY, or broken?

Why is my broken ankle bruising my foot?

The bruising is caused by the escape of blood from lots of very small, damaged blood vessels. It will drop to the lowest point and so the areas below an injury often become quite bruised. Nothing to worry about.

I dropped something on my foot, is it broken or bruised?

Well, kind of dropped. I was sitting on my desk chair and I looped my foot behind a wheel on it. I didn't realize my foot was still under the chair when I sat back and pushed myself backwards with all my weight. The wheel got pushed on top of my foot with all my weight plus the force of me pushing back. I tried to keep myself from crying and I was in insane pain for like 10 minutes. The next 5 hours after that it was just constant throbbing pain. Now it's just kind of an irritating throbbing when I don't touch it. It was in the middle of the top of my foot but more towards the base of my foot. There's like a 2 inch radius where it's swollen but there's no visible bruise. It hurts when I move my toes and when I do major ankle movements. It also hurts just to lightly glide my fingers over the spot where I hit it. Oh yeah, and walking is pretty painful. I can walk, but it's really painful and I limp. Is it just a bruise or could I have fractured it? I don't want to go to the doctor if I don't have to because my parents will probably be pissed (I'm 14 and have joint problems so I see doctors all the time for injuries) but I need it to get better because in 10 days I need to go back to competitive dance practice. Usually I would just blow it off but since it doesn't feel any better than yesterday; and it's on the top of my foot so I didn't really sprain it, I don't know what to do. Is it just bruised or could it be fractured? Should I just wait it out until the end of vacation and see if it gets better? What could be the complications if it is fractured and I don't see a doctor? Wouldn't it just heal itself?

Fractured/Broken Foot?

definitely a tear of the ligaments.

almost sure ther is a fracture. you should get xray and cast.

i had the exct same condition about 15 years ago while at a picnic,my friends carried me to the hospital.after xray the doctor assured there was no fracture, but he put a cast anyway.
i was young and stupid so i took off the cast myself after 2 days ,also because the doctor was sure the x ray didnt show a fracture.

no after 15 years it still hurts when i am cold or when i stand on it for a long time.

my impression now looking back is there must have been a crack (superficial fixed fracture) and i walked on it too early so it didnt heal right.

so for short although you took a long time (i month) i think you should check with an orthopedician , and avoid weight bearing on that foot for a month or so to give it time to heal whether its a crack or just a ligament tear.

Certain broken foot? or just bad bruising?

Well ive dropped my huge HEAVY mirror onto my foot recently im 15 and its very sore to walk on have to limp loads to just try and walk and is very bruised and slightly swollen by that does it sound broken? or just bad bruising because i dint want the hassle of telling parents if its just bruising....
