Can All Fuel Injector Quit At Once

Do fuel injectors all go bad around the same time?

My auto shop is saying that they all start to go around the same time.

My car has broken down twice before and each time they said it was a different injector not working.

(He said for sure it wasn't clogged, just not working at all.)

My car is broken down a third time, I anticipate they will want me to replace another injector should I keep letting them at $200 a pop or take it to another shop?

When did chevy trucks switch to fuel injection?

I am looking to buy a chevy truck, I like the late 70' -80's styles, not so much the 90's, but I want fuel injection cause it will save on gas. Thanks for the help!

Can you replace 1 fuel injector or do you have to replace them all? ?

it depends on what its in,you can replace just one of them, but the others may also cause problems, but i wouldn't replace any that wasn't bad though, they cost too much, good luck.

What year did Chevy/GMC switch from throttle body to fuel injection?

they switched in 95. throttle body is not a carb, its just 2 fuel injectors where a carb should be. my dads 92 chevy truck is tbi. mine has a quadrajet carb(1986, last year for carb, and i love it). they waited longer to put multiport on trucks, because they had to redesign fewer parts. in my oppinion, tbi is the better system. you can watch the injectors work, and youll know if ones stickin.

Will fuel injector cleaner cause problems, specifically causing my car to be unable to idle after turning over?

Last night I added a small bottle of fuel injector cleaner to my Pontiac Grand AM 2004 on a full gas tank and I drove my car about 25 miles this morning without any problems. I parked my car about an hour ago, then just barely went out to start it up and it will turn over as usual but will not continue running or idling, it just quietly dies / ceases to run. Could this be caused by the fuel injector cleaner???

On a yamaha pw80 dirtbike, can you bypass the oil injection by premixing oil in the fuel?

yeah you can, but leaving the injector intact will give you problems down the road.you might want to remove it, or route the oil line back to the inlet on it.then plug the injected side.it will be lubed by the contained oil in it, this will probably keep it from seezing and breaking something.

Porsche 928 84 no injection pulse Tech only please?

Check to see if you have a refference voltage at the injectors. Should be 5 volts min. If the voltage is not there track back to where it picks up this voltage. The ECU supplies a ground on a pulse and width to the injectors, while refference voltage should be there constantly. Get some electronic cleaner from the parts store, and clean all connections that plug together, including the ECU. On the ECU disconnect the plugs, and look at them very carefully for a bent pin, and clean the harness that hooks to it with the cleaner. Attach one lead of your meter to the signal pin for the injectors, and back probe the harness that plugs to the ECU. Use the High scale on your ohms meter. If you can lay your hands on a book that shows the wiring diagram for the system such as a Haynes manual for this vehicle or one like it, you might be able to tell which number of pin. If so you could just leave the meter in place while you shake rattle and roll the wires until you find the problem. I use needles, and/or paper clips to put into the pin holes. This way I can hook my meter to it with an allegator clip. You should have at the harness to the injectors a refference voltage wire, a ground wire, and a signal wire. Although you don't get any flash on the noid light, you at least know the problem lies between the injectors and the ECU, "IF" the computer is good. You know there is always a chance the computer is no good! If you back probe the wires and have good continuity up to the pins at the computer, it can be nothing else but a bad computer. Man!! I'm glad it's you and not me, as some suff like this can make you pull your hair out. I hope I have at least pointed you in the right direction. Good Luck!

When did jeep stop using carburetors?

The last carburetor was used mid 80's, around 84/85. Jeep then went to using TBI (throttle body injection) which is kind of like a carburetor/multi-port injection hybrid. The late 80's/early 90's saw the complete switch over to multi-port from TBI. Hope this helps.
