What should i cover my tattoo with while i sleep?
Don't cover it. The only time a tattoo should be covered is right after it's done, and that's done by the tattoo artist. Some artists don't do this, so if your's didn't, no big deal. The tatttoo is essentially a wound and it needs to breath to heal. If you cover it, it stays too moist. Just make sure you wash it with an antibacterial soap (I use the generic of Dial, it's a little less harsh) about 2x a day, morning and night. Than put a light coating of A&D ointment on it. There are other ointments you can use, but I strongly recommend this one. I always use that and recommend it to my friends. Do this for maybe 3-5 days, than use a dye/scent free lotion for another few days whenever it feels dry. So yeah, definitely do NOT cover it. Good luck!
Should I cover my new tattoo while I sleep?
I just got my first tattoo yesterday on my lower back on the right side and its a good size. last night I woke up a few times throughout the night and my shirt was stuck to it each time and i'd have to pull it off and what i assume were scabs would come off on the shirt. I was wondering if I should cover it up at night but at the same time i know it needs to breath. and at one point i lifted up my shirt and fell back asleep and my blanket got stuck to it too! soo any advice will help.. thanks.
How do I cover up a tattoo in order to swim?
Well, taping down saran wrap good and tight over it, is the only thing I can think of that might really work okay. If you put Vaseline on it, which is usually okay for a very short term water barrier, (ten minutes) it will force the ink out prematurely. If you are going to be in for a while, either use the saran wrap real tight, with a good waterproof tape, or you can take your chances of maybe having it redone at a later date. Usually, people just don't get tattooed, before prolonged contact with water. We really discourage it. Sorry I can't be of more help. Whatever you do, DO NOT use Vaseline and Saran wrap together. That really will screw it up... the spray on bandage should work okay, I hadn't thought of that. Give it a shot. Take care.

if you put on some seriously strong sunblock and cover it with some sort of cloth, it should be okay for the most part. Just remember, ANY sunlight or uv will cause the tattoo to fade over time. If you want it looking good well into your later years, take care of it now and always put sunblock on it. Good luck!

just put a towel over it dont put sunblock on it dont put gauze on it it needs lots of air make sure you dont walk around too much make sure its at least 3 weeks before prom dont wear shoes to prom that will aggrevate it cuz u'll be dancing alot
