Can Clear Nail Polish Act As Glue

Can clear nail polish act as glue?

Well, im doing a diy phone case using these little plastic cone shaped studs. I was so sure that I had some super glue, but obviously I was mistaken. Would clear polish hold well? Also , I've seen that flour and water works as glue too, but would that hold my studs? Which one would have a better chance of working with this particular project? Thanks!

Use nail polish as glue?

I'm doing somthing and want to know if i can use nailpolish as glue....i don't have any glue right now and tape wont work for this (small pieces). I'm using it on paper. Thanks!

Fake nails clear nail polish instead of glue?

Clear polish by itself will not adhere well enough.BUT, if you were to apply two or three thin coats of clear polish, let it dry, and then apply the nail glue & nails, this would help to protect your natural nails because there would now be a 'layer' of protection between the nail glue and your real nails. It will not hold as strong as nail glue by itself, but it will hold them quite well. It also makes removing them a breeze!

Will nail polish stick like glue?

not sure why this is in the online games catagory....

Nail polish on tights?

if u have a runner just putting clear nail polish at the beginning and the end of it and it will keep it from running even more.
and if the nail polish seeps through and sticks to ur leg, its harmless, just wash it off with some water

Can clear nail polish be a substitute of mod podge?

I really don't recommend using nail polish, because it isn't fit for glazing things or anything like mod podge

but, instead of clear nailpolish you can just do this:

Get water and regular glue. Mix it up in a container or whatever you would like, and brush it on to anything that you want to, it works just like mod podge and is a great subsitue! :D

Can I combine gel polishes with regular nail polishes?

Yes, you can. Use a gel base coat, cure, use desired nail polish (wait for it to COMPLETELY DRY or you just waisted your time, nail polish and gel base coat), once dry, apply top gel coat, cure, use lent free wipes and 91% alcohol to remove stickiness and you're done!*use a different alcohol wipe for each nail -very important! If not, you'll transfer it to the other nails.*cap with gel base coat and gel top coat ONLY! Keep the regular nail polish on top and try not to cap. If you want to cover the tip with color, be sure not to over do it, you want the base coat cap and the top coat cap to adhere to each other for the longest wear.*if you need two coats of regular nail polish for desired color, let each coat dry COMPLETELY! It could take 30 mins per coat but wait it out. Applying gel top coat to still wet polish is pointless, it'll melt right off as soon as you wash your hands, lol.*****Here's a GREAT tip!!!******---I myself prefer neon pink nail polish to pretty much ANY color, problem is that it would never look as bright on my nails as it did in the bottle!Problem solved. If you want gel nails, do the above steps BUT after the gel base coat, use a WHITE gel polish then cure that bad boy! After, paint it with the neon nail polish color of your choice (again, let it DRY COMPLETELY, and you'll likely need two coats of neon), after use gel top coat, cure, lent free alcohol soaked wipes -BAM! True to color neon nails!!Essie also makes a product called "Prime and Pop" that is a base coat for neon nails (it's a pretty awesome bright white base coat with no translucent tendencies so no "streaks"). I'm going to try it out tonight and see how it fares instead of the white gel just because removal will likely be easier and not so thick. I tried it on regular gel-free nails and it's an excellent base coat, no flaking!Good luck!!

What happens if you use nail polish over gel nails?

Usually the gel polish is super smooth so it makes for a great base to any regular nail polish color! I do that often because of ridges. I put a clear base and cure it, then use one of my polishes. Changing the color is super easy, remover without acetone and a clear top coat. You can even put some clear gel and cure it over regular nail polish for a gel manicure with regular polish!! Since I don’t make gel polish, I often tell customers to do this so that it will last 2 weeks, even though my polishes do last a long time anyway! Good luck!
