Is it still cool for a teenage girl to wear a one piece bathing suit?
I'm a teenage girl and there's this swim party that I'm going to in a couple of days but my very religious parents arent letting me wear a two piece it has to be a one piece. So I'm wondering is it still cool or am I gonna look like a dork? Or what should I say to my parents for them to let me wear a two piece bathing suit? Keep in mind they are VERY deep Christians and it's gonna take a lot of convincing for them to let me wear what I want. Can fat girls wear 2 piece bathing suits and look good?
I'm 17/f. I'm not gonna sugarcoat with words like thick, bootylicious or curvy. I'm not in denial. I'm fat. I'm a size 16 US and 5'8 ft. I'm white and my butt holds most of weight, unfortunately. I don't feel insignificant next to a skinny blonde girl but people act like I should. What has she have that I don't have (and probably have more of)? So do you think that fat girls can look good in 2 piece bathing suits? What are styles/colors that can flatter (I'm hourglass-ish I suppose). I'm pretty pale (ivory skinned) and I don't like tans at all. Please post. Thanks.
What size one-piece bathing suit should I wear?
I am 5 foot 4 (almost 5), weight 150 (yes i know i'm over weight) my bra size is 36 my pant size is 7 in 2 piece, i generally wear a Large bottom and a Medium top i am joining my school's swim team and need a training suit. it is supposed to be speedo.
Swimsuits: bikini or one piece? Why?
Obviously I’m a guy……but someone asked me to respond to this question so I’ll thrown-down my 2-cents. That said, I believe my opinion and taste isn’t typical, but here it goes.One-piece all the way!Why? Well, there are guys who like being intimate with a gal and as quickly as possible get her naked…..simple, raw, pure skin. Then there are guys who prefer the gal stay clothed in lingerie and even wear some stiletto heels.To each their own but for me I much prefer the dazzling play of fabric which accentuates the amazing shape that is the female body. The bikini says “look at me, I’m almost naked” whereas the one-piece can says so much more, it showcases the shape, curves and sexiness of the whole torso.Beyond that is the rear. I do NOT like a piece of dental floss running down the backside, nor do I care for fabric that is hardly there. Raw skin is just not that exciting. What does appeal is a nice V-shaped pattern which, to me, is so much more alluring. Also, skin is just skin….but with fabric you get shiny electric blue, lustrous colors, wet-look and other patterns/colors/textures that dazzle the eye and look amazing.Beyond that, regardless of how good a shape someone is in, it seems rather submissive to have to walk around with most your ass hanging out, I don’t think women should have to endure that kind of pressure or humiliation. I realize some are proud of their body and some are even attention ho’s…but leave something for the imagination, sometimes less is more.Last odd thought, I like the commitment of the one-piece. With a bikini you ‘wear it’ but with the one piece you slither into or ‘enter’ it and it wraps the confines the whole torso, it’s just very sexy….but that’s just me. In the end, wear whatever you enjoy, whatever is comfortable, whatever you prefer. Just know one thing that is undeniable: chlorine will claim everything over time no matter how much you rinse, wash or even use chlorine neutralizer.
Can guys wear women swimsuits?
Obviously they can, but should they? A hairy guy probably should not, because of the appearance. I personally wear a one piece when at the beach or the pool. It is absolutely imperative that it fits properly and in my opinion be age and body appropriate. My first time was at a secluded beach in Florida. I was quite nervous as I walked towards a spot I had used on previous occasions wearing a speedo. I set up my chair and umbrella and then removed my cover up and walked down to the water. The area is know as a gay area although nothing too elicite goes on there. Mostly just guys in speedos, as I walked in the edge of the water I ran into a couple of guys walking the opposite way. They were kind and spoke and we talked for a bit. I felt totally comfortable. Later as they were walking back they stopped by where I was sitting and offered to refresh my sun screen. I eagerly accepted their offer.
Why do girls swim with soffe shorts over one piece speedos?
Your possibly maybe right.... 1) Camel toe perhaps? Not really sure, haven't looked that closely. 2) Pubic hair, possibly. This could be true, I've seen girls pubic hair over their suit. 4) Shyness.. indefinitely... Those are the only valid statements that come to my mind. Edit: For the girl above me... 1) Fatness can be seen without the shorts, and it's very obvious what will be the actual point of wearing shorts then? 2) Fashion statement? That's very unlikely, shorts will only slow you down if your wearing it, and plus you can get designer speedos, or custom ones.
Is there a better word for a one piece bathing/swim suit?
I am curious because most two-piece swimsuits are called bikinis but is there a specific word that means one piece bathing suit, ya know like the kind female professional swimmers wear?
13 year old daughter wants to wear a 2 piece bathing suit?
I can't give you motherly advice, but i am 14 years old myself, so i hope my perspective is helpful to you. Honestly, i have been to many bathing suit attire birthday parties, and there are usually larger girls in bikinis, as well as normal, skinny, flat, bony, etc girls in bikinis. I myself have never witnessed a larger girl being directly teased our hurt for wearing a bikini, i have however seen girls teased for wearing one pieces or anything but a bikini pretty much. Honestly, if your daughter is confident enough to wear a bikini, let her. First i would see what her friends are going to wear to get an idea for the common attire, but if everyones wearing a bikini, you do not want your daughter standing out in something other than a bikini. For the fat thing, all i know is if my mom ever told me i was fat i would be so hurt. Weight is SUCH a huge issue for kids my age, that parents really shouldnt directly say that i dont think. Instead, try buying healthier food for your house and say the whole family needs to eat healthier, including yourself. Take your daughter out exercising with you and your family. Do family walks or something. Your daughter will be oblivious probly to the fact your trying to get her to lose weight, and it will benefit your whole family. This method will not hurt your daughter however telling her shes fat easily can. The lady was okay to step in, she is probably just aware and concerned with the huge teen weight thing, and was trying to help. be glad there are still good people in the world
