Is it wrong for guys to wear slippers?

Referring to bedroom slippers whether they are the scuffs or moccasin type with or without the fur lining. Well I tend to love slippers mostly around the house and got me a new pair the other day. The lady at the register asks me "your getting these as a gift right"? She acted shocked by my response that no they are mine. So do you think it is wrong for a guy to so much as buy and wear slippers?

Do girls like it when guys wear slippers?

So I was wondering if girls like it when guys wear slippers?
Give your honest opinions :D

I mean I know a guy shouldn't wear slippers to something like a urban bar or to a club but what about when I am just casually hanging out with my friends going around my neighborhood having some relaxed fun together.

An additional question: What kind of slippers do you girls/guys prefer from what's available on this website?

And one lastt question:
At what situations should I wear slippers over shoes?
(for example, slippers for beach, shoes for club, etc)

Can a guy wear women's flats?

Maybe you're asking whether you can wear flats within the confines of masculinity. I am not answering that question. Babies are born naked. The clothes we put on them are our choice. There is nothing right or wrong or natural built into those choices. The problems is that we make rules around those choices. We make rules that say when a person has these body parts, they can only wear these clothes. We make these rules, then we enforce them to propagate our need to differentiate so-called men from so-called women. We make claims that one is Like This while the other is Like That. Anytime you have This vs That, one is definitely perceived as better than the other. It's called sexism. The right question is not whether a guy can wear women's flats, but whether you want to wear them. And, the other relevant question is how dangerous is it for you to wear them in public. Because the need to maintain the status quo around This vs That is strong. Witness the desperate last-ditch efforts in North Carolina, Mississippi, and at least seven other US states to make sure these differences are codified and the illusions maintained. People who are willing - or who are internally compelled - to dress outside these made-up rules are highlighting the Wizard of Oz realities about sex. We simply are not that different, and our body parts are not the thing that should be at the base of what personality traits, aesthetics or values we have and hold. For me, the way I dress is so deeply connected to my identity that I take the risk, even though the possibility of bodily harm is real. But you have to make this decision for yourself. It's too personal for me (or anyone) to have a moral opinion about it.

Can a guy wear womens style shoes?

Absolutely. I wear only women's style boots from riding styles, western and dress boots. Either flat or mid heel with an occasional high heel style. They offer a variety of styles and colors that far outweigh men's styles. The same goes for shoes. I have a number of the Dansko style clogs in the cabrio and patent sheens and colors with my favorites being the Mary Jane styles and my black patent with pink ribbon and stitching for breast awareness. I wear low to mid heel flats and loafers all women's styles and some of those are Mary Jane's again in a variety of colors. Depending on the occasion I usually wear black, brown or burgundy but when I want to go for some flash will wear some of my patents or sport reds or pinks. So it really is up to you and how comfortable you are. My Wife knows how much I enjoy women's footwear and is all to happy to go out shopping with me. Usually she's getting a pair for herself as well. Good luck.

Is it ok for a guy to wear womens sandals?

i am a flip flop lover, and just recently went out and bought a white pair, that i have always wanted. just some cheap old navy MENS all white flip flops. I am in love with them lol, i always thought they would be too girlish, but noticed other men wearing them too, and finally broke down and faced my fear. I absolutely love them ! i can't get them off my feet. I am not gay, i just love to dress comfortable. The shoes your talking about though, too girly for sure. sorry no heel straps for guys.

Can a guy wear women's sandals?

Yes, if you are asking if they will fit. Indeed they will fit because the lasts, (molds) used to make shoes are identical for both men’s, women’s, and for that matter, children’s shoes as well. You only have to find a shoe that fits. And if you are asking if it is permissible to wear women’s shoes, (and you are male) well, you may get a few funny looks, but why not? Clothing continues to get more androgynou, so why not do what you want?Historically, androgyny in dress has moved in the direction of women borrowing from men but I think our recent cultural norms have begun to pose the question of why the shift does not go the other way. I think performers like David Bowie posed this question, which I thinkis essentially the question of why we dress. The answer is clearly we dress for things like warmth, protection and modesty, but in the past it was also to announce gender, class, aesthetic tastes, etc. It could be that dress will continue to become more androgynous or maybe we will just adopt a more playful attitude towards dress and wear what appeals on any given day.For doubters that men can dress in what might, (by present day standards) be considered feminine, just consider the laces, velvets, brocades, (and yes, high heels)worn by men in the French court!masculine and feminine dress are a matter of cultural norms so as our culture changes, it will be interesting to see how those changes will be reflected in dress.

Should I wear womens shoes in public?

Well if you are a woman and you like wearing shoes in public then certainly. And if you are a man and you like wearing women's shoes in public, and you are not harming anyone by doing so, then yes again. Certainly be yourself. However, if you are generally uncomfortable wearing women's shoes in public, regardless of gender, then you must find an alternative to efficiently protect your feet. …And if by chance you are a minor (under the age of 18) male, put the idea on hold until you are in your mid 20s as your desires and opinions are subject to change drastically multi-yearly at this stage. Believe it or not you might well be taking a public action which you will regret for the rest of your life.

Can men wear womens boots?

I think they can, especially nowadays, depends on the details and how they fit. I think, even according to gendered dressing convention (and I premise I think men and women can not give a damn to them), a “woman” boot would be one with high heels, especially the thin or stiletto variety or the presence of varying ornaments, although, even then cowboy boots are worn by men and many of them are full of embroidered ornaments, not rarely as high as the knee, so I think it’s a relatively recent convention against anything fancy on men clothing, which people with a static conception of the history think are “the way things are”. Bottom line, I’d say from Doc Martens, to buckled boots, from anke to knee length can be worn by both men and women, and I see no reason why not, unless pointy and very high heeled or above knee.I personally think they work better with certain outfits, for men, but it’s a personal stylistic opinion.
