Can I Adopt A Child From The Us If I

Can I adopt children if I am on S.S.I.?

I got married young to my life partner and we have 2 adopted children and I love it my
husband has struggled with mental health problems .if you want my view wait a few years because its hard to adopt any way but to do it alone is very hard the System is horrid you get messed around I would hate to do it alone.if you have a job then you can adopt and if you are on benefits you normal can but it depends on how much money you get but if that's is the only money you get then its very unluckily

How much does it cost to adopt a child?

In the US - if you adopt through foster care (where there are over 120,000 waiting for a loving permanent home) it will cost you almost nothing. They are the kids that really need adoption.

If you go privately - through so called 'non profit agencies' - which make huge profits for their owners - it will cost you tens of thousands of dollars - and they too often sadly use coercive tactics to get babies from mothers - to make more and more money - even when adoption may not be the best option for the mother and the child.
(they look after their own bank balance first and foremost)

Rich people sadly like to get whatever they want - and don't care how much it costs - or what effect their actions will have on anyone but themselves.
All those adoptees will need a great deal of therapy when they grow up.

Can an illegal Immigrant adopt a child?

Pretty sure you both have to be in the United States LEGALLY to adopt a child or be seen as a rightful citizen in the country. So yes you are going to have to get married, or you are going to have to fill out the papers and go to court to get custody of her. If you aren't married to the fella and you choose to go it alone I wouldn't bring up the illegal fiance at all or it could put his illegal status in the US in jeopardy and they will deport him back to wherever he came from.

Can a single male soldier adopt a child?

I'm a single male in the United States Army and am seriously considering adopting a child. I am 23 years old and growing successful. I was curious if, due to my marital status and occupation, if I would even be able to adopt. I know it would be hard and probably the biggest decision of my life but I also know that I would be an amazing father and raise outstanding children. Although I would love to be married, things in that department haven't seemed to work too well for me. I wouldn't be adopting just because I want to have a family of my out but because I know that I could help and improve a child's life. Does anyone have the answer or know where I could find information on this situation?

Can a single man adopt a child in the United States and United Kingdom?

Yes single people (M or F) can adopt in the UK.You can also adopt if you are a couple, married or unmarried, and the couple can be a traditional pairing (M+F) or a same sex couple. There is no constraint based on sexuality or sexual orientation.Everyone goes through the same processs which basically is in two stages:Firstly your suitability to adopt, in principle, is assessed and then you go through a (lengthy) matching process to ensure that you and a child are a suitable match - that you can meet the needs of that individual. The process in the UK is lengthy and emotionally draining. The outcome is intended to find a solution which is in the best interest of the child - it is not (primarily ) about fulfilling your desire to be a parent.
