How do I bring a vape on a plane?
I’ve taken my vape with me in a carry-on, many times and there’s never been an issue. Screeners are pretty familiar with them now and they never even ask for a closer look after the x-ray. Several years ago, at a smaller airport, I was asked to show what it was but that seemed more from curiosity than concern. Lately I just turn the device off and toss it in my laptop bag, along with all the other assorted small electronics - chargers, cables, USB sticks, spare batteries…They are still picky about liquids, so make sure your refill bottles are bagged along with the rest of your liquids. Or leave them in your checked luggage, maximum allotment only applies to carry-on. Actually… I think since the Juul uses sealed cartridges, even the liquid thing might not be an issue. But do not put your vape, or spare batteries in checked luggage, new regulations covering any lithium-ion batteries say they must travel in the cabin, not in the hold.
