Will A UK Clock-Radio Work In The USA?

We use almost the same frequency ranges:
88 to 108 MHz for FM, with odd-numbered decimals
(99.1, for example), and 520 to 1700 kHz for MW.

The only difference that may matter, and then only with a digitally synthesized radio
(it won't cause any trouble with an analog-tuned radio that has a digital display)
is that our MW channel spacing is 10 kHz instead of 9 kHz.

If the power supply was designed specifically for 50 Hz,
you may hear excessive 60Hz hum.

Whereas the radio should work well enough,
you may have a bit of difficulty with the clock:
If it depends on a 50Hz AC line frequency rather than a
32.768 kHz crystal, it will gain 12 minutes per hour.
At least you'd wake up earlier, instead of later, than you intended.

FM radio bought in US - would it work in India?

It should since the frequencies in India are the same 89-108 MHz in north America.

Since the decimal number is odd in north America and some stations in India are even, look for a tuner that moves one decimal point instead of two.

Difference between UHF and CB radio?

It depends on your country. In the USA they run HF at 27 MHz AM (Amplitude Modulation). In the UK they run 27.6 MHz and 900 MHz with FM (Frequency Modulation).

UHF is normally the preseve of PMR (Private Mobile Radio). The Ham allocation is between 432-440 (UK) 500 MHz, (USA) again depending on the country. Upper UHF is (in the UK) through the lower Television bands to just below 9OO MHz with the upper portion being Ham at 1296MHZ or there abouts and we run TV on this band, though we used to run TV on the lower UHF band, but this is now generally not used as much down there as the bandwidth is a little narrow for coulor use.
Kind regards
