Can I Buy Stuff Bought On Pawnstars

How much will I get for my stuff at the pawn shop?

I have some things that I want to pawn, but I want to know about how much to expect for the stuff. The first item is a lead crystal Christmas tree made in Germany (about 12 inches tall and 5 inches wide), it's heavy and very pretty. The second item is a lead crystal star-shaped jewelry holder also made in Germany (about the size of the palm of your hand). And the third item is a candle/champagne glass that I bought it in France. It has purple gel/wax inside the glass with a little statue of the Eiffel Tower. So once the candle goes out, it's a usable wine/champagne glass. So, does anyone have an ESTIMATED amount that I can expect to get for these at a pawn shop?

Why doesn't the Pawn Stars pawn shop sell guns?

Good Question, I would like to start by saying that you need to remeber that a pawnshop is a place for consumers to go who need money right now and with no credit check, it is not a place to go if you want to sell your stuff for retail price. With that being said, a pawnshop is there to make money and they want to double their money on anything they take in. most pawnshops try to sell at 50% of retail price, so if they are going to loan you money on something they will loan at about 25% of retail on it. So if spot price of silver is right now $24.74 per ounce they will give you about $12 an ounce but your ring is only going to be between 1 and 7 grams and there are 31.1 grams in an ounce. so you would be getting about $0.39 per gram. as to the diamond most pawn shops don't give extra on diamonds under 1 karat. but if you do get anything for the diamond it would be like $20-$30 so the ring you probably don't want to pawn. as far as the monitor you can buy them online for $50 used so you would get about $25 for it and the camera will have to be new but you won't get much for it either. mabe $20-$40 at most unless its a professional camera, but cameras are something that a pawnshop has a hard time selling so you would get mabe $60 if that. You may consider taking gold jewelry, laptops, big flatscreen tv's and new aged game systems like xbox 360 and playstation 3's and things like that will bring you the most at a pawnshop, if you have any guns that would be even better. I hope this helps you.

Pawn Stars on History: Why in the show they only buy the stuff. They never show anyone buying any stuff the one they purchased. Why so?

Well I think you have not seen full seasons ,one day an old man who got down from rolls Royce and came to buy cufflinks from the and you won't believe rick was taking teaching from him about cufflinks. If you have yesterdays i.e 9 march episode then you must have seen a guy buying JFK's cigar case.He bought the cigar case for 75000$wow

Can you return stuff from a pawn shop?

not usually. there is a risk buying pawned goods.
they aren't scams-pawn shops make money buy buying stuff off of people, then reselling it for more money, or selling it back to them for more money.

but it would most likely not cost that much for a repair-see if apple will repair it. contact them online, or go to your local apple store (bring the device)

chances are, you will have saved money over the cost of a new one, even with repairs.

How does Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars have historical knowledge of everything brought into his shop? What is the mystery behind this?

Please understand this show is highly scripted, and nothing like a real pawn shop.  Rick knows well in advance what is coming through the door and has done his homework.I know a Pawn Shop owner of a 30 location chain and he has stated that during a ten year period at all of his stores, not one of the items brought in, would have made Pawn Stars.Outside of the family angst, Hardcore Pawn, is very realistic - much more gritty and far less interesting as a result of staying true to reality.Rick's genius was figuring out how to make a very watchable show about pawn shops,   it has been at times History Channel's highest rated program.  I am sure after all of these years he is very well compensated.

What was the most expensive item that was bought in the show "Pawn Stars"?

One of the biggest profits the Harrisons have ever turned came 20 years ago, when a woman walked into Rick's shop with four sets of photogravures by famous American photographer Edward Curtis. Harrison didn't know much about this early photographic process, which used copper plates and gelatin paper with an etching process to create prints. But as the woman was only asking $50 for the entire collection, he took a chance on the purchase. After doing some research of his own, he found the photogravures were worth a bundle, and ended up selling them for $20,000.However, the biggest payout in Pawn Stars' 12-season run belongs to a piece of presidential history. A seller walked into the shop with the box of cigars that once sat on John F. Kennedy's desk in the Oval Office. This seller was no dummy, asking $95,000 for the box. After some haggling, Rick managed to purchase JFK's cigar box for $60,000. Harrison definitely made a good purchase on this one-of-a-kind item—a similar JFK humidor was purchased by the publisher of Cigar Aficionado in 1996 for a massive $575,000 during an auction at Sotheby's.

What is the most expensive item sold on Pawn Stars?

Las Vegas is just a town that has something for everyone therefore learn it with hotelbye . If I visit the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, will the stars of Pawn Stars be there?

Your best bet might be to keep up with things on their website:http://www.gspawn.com/Occasionally they'll make appearances there, so keeping an eye on their Twitter or Facebook feeds and other such announcements would come in handy.  For instance, their site mentions an upcoming traveling road tour, so you can expect some, if not all, of the main personalities will be gone for that.I dropped in a few months ago for the heck of it, and all four of the main TV show personalities happened to be there; they weren't buying or selling anything, though, and only doing a photo-shoot in a roped off section of the store.  They signed some autographs and let customers take pictures afterwards, but I got the impression they're mainly around for such occasions and likely not standing behind the counters conducting business as usual anymore.

Should i buy things from a pawn shop?

not in any respect! the nearest pawn save is possibly in ny city and that is a 2 hr journey through bus. i do not imagine i'd favor some thing from a pawn save for concern it develop right into a persons' treasure and that they had come across confusing cases and had to pawn it. i'd favor them to have the risk to purchase it again.

What are some things that pawn shops buy?

I would say if you want to sell something for a lot of money like that at a pawn shop, then it needs to be something that can be easily valued or appraised, not take up too much of their shop space, and be in reasonable demand. Some good examples of this are jewelry, coins, collectibles, or really nice and compact electronics.

Be prepared to take a good deal less for your item than what it is actually worth. Or, I should say, be prepared to haggle and try to get the best price possible, but don't expect to get $200 for a watch that sells for $200 at the store. They are in business to make money and need to make some profit to cover overhead and other costs.

Most important of all, though, is to research the hell out of your item(s) and if necessary have them appraised by somebody reputable. You do not want to go into a negotiation with a pawn shop without knowing exactly what you're trying to sell and how much it is worth (not just from the store, but how much it may be worth to a pawn shop).

Unless you really need the money and need it right away - you may find that it is best to try to sell your items outright via private party (through craigslist, ebay, classifieds, etc). It is the same idea as buying a car. You can sell your car to a dealer and get trade in value, or you can sell it private party and make a little more money off it. A pawn shop is a middle man to make things a bit more convenient, but that convenience comes at a price.
