Can I Get Out Of The Us Navy Because Of An Increase In Income

Do Navy Reservists get paid BAH?

nope. the only time a reservist or guardsman gets paid BAH (either with or without dependents) is if you are on active duty orders. You will get a pro-rated rate for your annual 2 week drill. If you pull "man days" - you won't get BAH for that because those are not 'active' orders.

getting married won't increase your pay any (but boy, will she spend it) but it will allow you to get dependent rate BAH when you do deploy. make sure you add her to DEERS so she can get an ID card, etc, and to make the change from 'no dependents' to 'dependents'.

good luck

edit based on your additional details: answers you cannot get on MyPay, you can get from your unit finance office. as for why you don't have 'any' BAH as a 'drilling reservist' - i am not quite understanding you. if you are in DRILL status, you do NOT get BAH under ANY circumstances. the ONLY time you receive BAH is if you are on ORDERS. you aren't on orders to drill.

What is Navy SEALs salary?

It really depends on their rank and how long they been in. I’m E6 and my yearly salary is only $58k a year and I have been in for 15 years. Actually make less than that. This is only base pay. With BAH it can go up to six figures depending where is your zip code at. Since I'm a reservist my zip code will be San Diego $2730. If I was living in San Francisco my base pay will be $4500. Some BAH can be $950 due to the cost of living. Deployment can make a huge difference because it's tax free. Getting stationed overseas is good too due to COLA.2017 Military Pay Charts | Military BenefitsGeneral ScheduleOfficers gets paid more than Enlisted. If you get deployed or stationed somewhere, it varies. There is not really a set pay standard like civilians does. Being in the military our pay is far worse than those who are pencil pusher that works for the department of defense or any government settings. Sad but true. Imagine being E3 getting deployed even though it's tax free and among other benefits you get, still not enough. Sorry, if I'm getting shot at and so are my Marines, to protect our freedom do you think getting paid as E3 is worth saving your freedom? Sorry our freedom is priceless and you can't put a price on what we have here in U.S.If you never served, don't judge me nor those who have lost their lives to protect our country because of pay issues of how much we get paid and how much you get paid. Those who has lost their lives, you cannot put a price on that and the families, wives, and children what they had to go through finding out their son, husband, and father/mother was killed in a mission protecting your freedom.I work for the GOV I am on the bottom of the totem pole while everyone gets paid over $75k a year and half of them hardly doing shit but gossip. We don't get paid over time either. Being in the military our pay sucks! I joined because I wanted to join. I am glad I did even though I'm a reservist, I love what I do in the Navy and working for the Marines. I love the people I have met and their families. I can always rely on my Navy and Marine families no matter what because I know I will be there for their families too.Peace!

What are the salaries in the merchant navy in India?

The salary is very good , Now if i talk about salary in merchant navy firstly it is being divided into two parts 1) deck side 2 ) engine sideDeck side - you starts as deck cadet and if i talk about indian companies they easily gives 400 us dollar while many foriegn companies nowdays are giving 800 us dollar it totally depends upon the company but the range will be 400- 800 us dollar , after getting your coc , u will be promoted to 3rd officer where ur salary will be around 1800 us dollar and after successfully completing as first sail u will get extra increments and ur salary will be around 2400 us dollar ( monthly around 2 lacs ), then when u ll be giving 2nd mate ( coc 2nd ) and then chief mate later master so after getting these coc and experience ur salary will increase and being a captain of ship u can easily get 15000us dollar - 20000 us dollar( monthly around 15 lacs and above ) its a big amount .ADVICE — But being in merchant navy i ll suggest , first see all other option because once u came in merchant navy u wont be getting any other chance to move out on any other field . If money is more important to u and u can leave your family in any condition , then please come to merchant navy . And if there is a bit love between u and ur parents please do not come . World is big of oppurtunity , do not lose ur hope .

Help with BAH!!! (Navy)?

I'm leaving for the Navy in a few months and was recently married. Since my wife was living with her parents she was able to get financial aid for schooling at the rate of her parents income. I was talking to her about BAH and since we live in Los Angeles I noticed that the BAH would be 1932 and I would be able to use it to support her with housing while she goes to school and I'd also be able to help her with tuition. I'm leaving in October and I'm going to be a Nuke so I'm going in as an E-3 which will definitely help in the money section. I'll also be at A-School for 6 months and then at NNPS for another six, hopefully by the time I finish that I'll get into STA-21 and get to go to school.

My question is, would we get the BAH for Los Angeles while I'm doing all my training? And when would they begin giving me my BAH at a rate based on my zip code while away?

How much do you get paid in the Navy?

Unless you have huge bills like car payments and high insurance you can survive on E1 pay if you are single. You live on the ship or in barracks for free so you don't have to worry about housing. Food you get BAS (eating allowance) of $323 a month is in your pay, but if you are on a ship with your first orders all but around $60 of that is taken out because you eat in the galley. You have your uniforms provided for you. If you are on a ship then you also get Sea Pay which is low to begin with around $50 a month but it goes up from there. You don't pay cable, internet or phone while on the ship except for a cell phone and for that you can look at a prepaid plan through Virgin Mobile or something along those lines so you don't have to worry about it when you deploy. If you decide to go on Submarines then you also get Submarine Pay. If you are overseas you get OCONUS COLA - Overseas Cost of Living Allowance. All these things you can survive on without calling a bankruptcy lawyer.
