Can we add a graphics card to a laptop?

Yes , you can add a full size graphic card to a laptop via using an EXP GDC laptop external PCI Express graphic card. Basically what you have to do is to remove the WiFi card of your laptop and connect the EXP GDC in that slot and connect the graphic card in the other end of the exp gdc. If your graphic card is for high end gaming you might need an external power supply. Rest assured the performance will be almost same . For WiFi you can buy an external WiFi stick.Hope the answer helps. If you need any more information feel free to ask. I am using this method on my Asus GL552JX and I am using GTX 1080 . Although the exp gdc costs a little more for version 10 cardsPeace.

Could i put another Graphics Card into my Laptop?

I am sorry to inform you that you can't change the graphics chip on a laptop. Most laptop video is just a chip on the mother board. While there are some laptops that have a graphics card, you still can't upgrade it due to the fact that it is soldered to the mother board. I hope this helped.

Can I upgrade my laptop graphics card?

By Nature of Laptop Manufacturing,If it says Integrated Graphics Card then it is embedded or rather Soldered into the motherboard by dafault by the manufacturer so it can not be in any case upgraded as you would require to replace whole motherboard with CPU for chinging or upgrading the GPUBut on paper, Dedicated Graphics Card is exact opposite of Integrated ones and they can be replaced by user of the laptop if requiredBut its not as easy as it seems as many laptop manufacturers dont want you to change their own configuration for whatsoever purposes hence they keep it locked under the hood away from your simple ram and hdd or ssd slots so that to replace you need to go to the company itself or open it up yourselfOther thing is that to replace the card you require a special configuration of slots to achieve proper connection between the card and the motherboardHence it all depends on weather your manufacturers let you openly swift out and in other upgraded cards or notFor Example, I had a HP laptop in 2012 where in i had a dedicated Nvidia GPU but to change it i had to open the whole back and detach my keyboard to reach the GPU and i could have done that but that amount of tidius process i had to undergo to change it made me keep it the sameBut Alienwares and Asus and MSI, make it very easy to open a small cover slot from beneath and change it in few easy stepsSo google your model to Find out how easy it is and do check youtube if anyone has done it already ( it makes it damn easy)Hope it Helps

Can I add a NVIDIA graphics card to a laptop that uses Intel HD graphics?

No. Intel HD graphics are integrated into the same chip as your Intel CPU. So to replace graphics, you need to replace the CPU. But Intel CPUs only come with Intel HD graphics, so the best result you could get is slightly faster Intel HD graphics. But forget this, because nowadays CPUs are soldered in place. And the socket has 2000 or so connectors, so no chance to re-solder that by hand.Nvidia graphics, on the other hand, come in various shapes and sizes. They're not integrated into the CPU, so they require a separate, dedicated socket on the motherboard. If your laptop comes without dedicated graphics, most probably it doesn't have that socket.Sometimes the same laptop is sold with and without dedicated Nvidia graphics, for a different price. In that case, you might find that your laptop has an empty socket for the graphics card. However, this is not always the case because they can make different motherboards for different configurations, and even if it is, you would have a hard time finding a fitting laptop graphics card for sale. As I said, the form factor is not widely standardized (despite some attempts), so those graphics cards (or chips) are not sold in the consumer market. You can only buy a used one, but those are also hard to obtain, because few people buy them. (And if you want to know, that's because of the non-standard form factors - it's hard to tell if the card will fit your laptop. Also because most laptops die before people need to upgrade the graphics card). You might even find that you have a graphics socket but it's solderable. Again, so many tiny connectors aren't easy to solder.

Can I use a laptop graphics card in desktop?

To formulate an answer let us examine how graphics cards work:They are basically circuit boards with chipsets , with an interface to install into a motherboard’s PCI-e slot.A laptop’s graphics card is really the same thing, but lacks the same interface to be ported into a desktop’s PCI-e slot. That alone means that no, you cannot normally use laptop graphics cards for desktops. Someone might develop a prototype, but there’s no reason to expect a commercial product that even competes with current brands. It would be like fitting square peg into round whole- it’s impossible unless you first fit the square peg into an adapter. As such, you normally cannot physically use a graphics card from one to for the other, because physically the interface connections are not the same.A typical laptop’s graphics card would look something like this, square or rectanguular shaped, with minimal size dimensions to fit into a laptop.Because desktops have far more generous size constraints, their graphics cards not only look much larger, but have a different slot. Below is a random Google image of a GeForce 580 GTX.For size comparison, an average laptop card would only be about half or two thirds that, or even smaller. Some laptops do not even have separate graphics chips. That’s not all: a desktop’s graphics card also has video ports for the monitor, which laptop cards obviously do not. So even in a hypothetical scenario where you somehow manage to install a laptop card onto a desktop’s motherboard, you still have to figure out how to connect to the monitor. So the short answer is no, because by design, laptop graphics cards have no compatibility with desktop computers.
