Dentist VS lip piercing?
I want to get my lip done, but the problemo is that i need to go to the dentist (root canal). So when i get it done i wont go tell idk 3 weeks (max) from now. When i just get it done can i have it out for an hour or so when there working in my teeth? Do i have to take it out in the frist place?(which i think i do) note:the dentist is going to be working on my right and the piercing is on the left if that makes any difference. If you have any tips or anything i need to know go ahead and tell me plz n thank you's ;)
Can dentist fill fillings when you have a lip piercing?
It depends on the location of your piercing and the cavity. If the piercing is preventing your Dentist from properly working on the decayed tooth then he or she might not be able to fill it. Go for a check-up and the Dentist can check if it will prevent him from working on your cavities.
Can i wear my lip ring while getting x-ray and mri's?
It's really not a ring It's a bar,but It's all plastic. And last time I got X-rays and MRIs I had a catheter in me and that's all plastic too. I don't want my piercing to close. What do yall think?
Will my septum piercing (metal) show up on a dentist X-Ray?
If you can get your hands on a PTFE Retainer, and put it in just while you're at the dentist, that would help. Anything is going to be noticeable on an x-ray, but PTFE is less dense than metal, and so it will be less noticeable. If you cant do that, go with a clear plastic retainer. Again, it will still show up, but it's better than plain metal. Make sure to but the regular jewelry back in as soon as possible. Or you could just tell your dad about it, and avoid all of this. My dad was completely against piercings, so I totally understand that that may not be an option, though. EDIT: I didn't see the part where you're going in tomorrow morning :/ a clear plastic bar would still show up, anything will. It would just show up less. I'd say that would be your best option. Maybe you could ask your dad not to come in with you?
Will having a face piercing affect dental x-rays?
I am contemplating on getting my nostril pierced, just a tiny one, and I want to do it soon as possible. See the problem is I have problems with TMJ and have to either get braces or my wisdom teeth out, both will envolve x-rays. Will the dentist let me keep my peircing in if I tell him it's new and will close up and will it affect the x-rays a lot? Also I have one set of x-rays they could use.
LIP PIERCING AND X RAYS?
okay so i have to go to the dentist and i have a lip piercing and i have to take it out for the X rays. im really scared that it might close.. is it better if i wear a retainer? or do i have to take it out anyways? or what else can i do? please help :( ive had my piercing for almost a year
Dental X rays and piercings??*?
Hi i just came back from the dentist. my wisdom tooth is infected. I noticed this emergency dentist did not take out my tongue ring while doing an x-ray or cleaning the infected area??~ should i be concerned?i thought jewelry was supposed to come out for x-rays? can i be harmed? oh && btw it wasn't like the x-ray that scans ur whole head. i had to bite on a piece of plastic and they x-rayed the side of my face that head the infection. So all in all, does taking xrays with metal in ur body pose any risks? thanx a lot! KELL xx
