Can my laptop run the Arma2 DayZ mod?
From what I see, it would be hard for you to run the game without the mod in the first place. you would probably only get about 5 frames per second out of the game on the lowest settings since your Graphics processor isnt good enough. If your going to buy a new computer you should get one with atleast 4gb ram, a decent card, and a proccessor thats dual core 2 ghz or higher. for a little help at looking at ATI graphics cards (and ATI ONLY), usually the higher the last 3 numbers are, means its better. For example, there is very little difference between a Ati radeon 5670 and an Ati Radeon 6670. but a Ati radeon 5870 would be better than an Ati radeon 6670. so for an ati graphics card get something like a 5 or higher. or go here: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_e... and get something higher than a score of 700. i would recommend to get something higher than a score of 850 though.
I'm looking to play the arma 2 mod dayz on my new Leveno G570 laptop.?
If you want to be able to figure out what computer can run Dayz or Arma II, go to game-debate.com. type Arma II in the search bar, and enter the specs of a computer you want to see if that computer can run Arma II. Also, if i were you, i would get a desktop instead of a laptop. gaming laptops cost much more than gaming desktops, and if the laptop is damaged at all, it is much more difficult to service. good luck.
I need to know if this pc will run ArmA 2 DayZ Mod?
I'm about to buy a pc and I need ot make sure it runs ArmA 2 Combined Ops and the mod for it DayZ. The specs are: Dell Optiplex 755, Intel 3.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 3 gigs RAM, 250 Gig Hard Drive, DVD Burner and DVD player drives, 1GB GeForce 210 , Windows Vista. Thanks in advance
Can i play the arma 2 dayZ mod without operation arrowhead?
I have never answered a question here before but seeing the bad answer given i thought i would help. Firstly, you need arma 2 and arma operation arrowhead to play. Having both of these allows you to combine them to make combines ops. CO does not require a better pc as the textures do not improve what so ever. Unless you are using arma 2 free (which you cannot play dayz with anyway) The only textures that improve are the zombie textures, and for this you need the PMC Addon to get high res textures (private military company) However, this is only for the zombie textures Nothing else. If you have arma 2 free that will not do. You need both Arma 2 full product and Operation Arrowhead. I beleive the user above me has no experiance with arma 2 as he has said the original is mediocre. It is not. In fact it is amazing. That is also the game that has the chernarus map which you need for dayz. OA does not include chernarus. Just to reiterate. You NEED: Arma 2 Full Operation Arrowhead Extra: PMC Addon for high res zombie textures only. BAF is also awesome as it adds a lot of content so i would suggest finding an online retailer that sells ARMA X Anniversary edition as it includes every arma game made thus far....OFP, arma + addons, Arma 2 plus addons. If you want it on steam you need to buy it off steam. However it is much cheaper retail. I know iv added a lot more info than you needed but it will help you get the best out of the arma experiance.

This is why Gmod is still played, purely because you can do anything you want.

You can get it for free but will only be able to play lan and localy.... PC Gaming: I recently bought Arma II Dayz mod. I got Dayz Launcher, but I am not able to download mods from the launcher. Am I doing something wrong?
Please explain your question further; however, from what I was able to gather, you were unable to download the DayZ mod from the launcher itself. My recommendation is that you get an item named "PlayWithSix", and download it via the DayZ website. WithSix was DayZ's original client before the big boom. My second recommendation is that you use the downloader named "DayZ Commander" as it has gone under multiple revisions and is quite stable by now, however you require a good internet to really download the mod at all, hence my WithSix pre-recommendation. I have not used the launcher you speak of myself, however I have not heard too excellent of things about it's current stability.
