Can I Take Estroven While On The Birth Control Pill

Withdrawal from Estroven?

I had previously been taking Estroven to help with hot flashes (I am 28 and have a thyroid problem). However, due to concerns about overtaxing my liver, I stopped taking the Estroven. Within a week I began having trouble sleeping, became anxiety-ridden, and had a lot of nervous energy. I changed nothing else about my lifestyle and did not begin any new medication/supplements. I am concerned that I am suffering withdrawal from either the black chohosh ingredient in Estroven or the blend of 'calming' herbs that are also included. If the sleeplessness, anxiety, and nervous energy are withdrawal symptoms or side-effects, I am concerned about continuing to take this supplement, especially when I could find no information online about harmful withdrawal. I do not want to take this supplement anymore but am worried about the withdrawal symptoms -- how bad they could get or how long they could last -- and if I will be all right without taking it anymore. Has this happened to anyone else

What should i do if I accidentally took estroven..........?

I'm a healthy nineteen year old girl on birth control (ortho tricyclen) I've been on it for 3 months now when-or while i was on my inactive pills, took estroven (thinking it was fiber pills) I know lame but that's not the point, what should i do?

What happen if male takes 12 months on estrogen pills?

I don’t know if you mean all at once, or over a full year. A single large dose of estrogen would probably result in more unpleasant side effects, like vomiting, than actual hormonal effects, but enough estrogen taken regularly over a year would suppress masculine traits like beard growth and produce some degree of “feminization” such as breast enlargement.

Can a man take estrogen pills?

Yes he can.I have heard of wives giving their husbands their pills without telling them.It would probably cause increased breast size, loss of slowed growth of body hair, decreased balding, decrease in muscle mass, more feminine features, decreased testicle size, loss of spontaneous erections, decreased sex drive and aggression.

Estroven and extreme headaches?

I haven't used this, don't have night sweats or anything yet except just moody and I am in menopause. I did a search and found a board web site where some of the users said they had to stop because of increased blood pressure and horrible pounding headaches and the risk of stroke. Maybe you should go to your doctor and check this out before proceeding any further with these pills.

Will progesterone cream and estroven have any feminizing effect on my sissy boyfriend?

Not really. You will be disappointed. It is too weak to have any visible effect. So better let him grow his hair and wax his body to look more feminine ! If he really is GID, try to find the right doctor and a psychologist to get hormone injections !

Depo provera spotting thinking of taking estrogen?

To The Doctor, no it does not. It's progestin only. It contatins no estrogen like in combination pills, or other monthly birth controls. A lot of women choose it because they have adverse reactions to estrogen. Interesting screen name bearing that in mind..

I'm sorry I can't answer your question from first hand experience like you asked, but I really don't know if you can combine the two like that and have it work.. I know it is intended to work without estrogen so I think that would probably make the health risk worse. Maybe the shot isn't for you if you're getting these symptoms, there's a lot more out there .

If you do want to consider something different I would recommend this website, here's their methods page.

If not then I think it's best if you figure out a way to deal with them as they are, I don't think you can make them go away by adding other hormones. I think you can maybe talk to your doctor about treating them, but I think as long as you're on the shot they'll have to stay..

What happens if a man takes estrogen pills?

Metabolistic activity and patterns of use of nutrition by the body change in response to different hormone levels and can result in body parts changing appearance slightly, for example the distribution of fat changes primarily and you generally also gain more fat tissue. I don’t know if there’s other desireable effects from it, but there might be unwanted effects like emotional instability and such things…

Estrogen Prank?

you might grow a vagina somewhere on your body...other then that its no big deal.

What happens if you take Estroven and you are NOT in menopause?

If you take menopause medications but are not in menopause, then there are a few possibilities: if it's a dose on the low side, then it may just augment your own body's hormones so your overall amount in your body was a little higher. Or if it's a dose on the higher side, it will interfere with the delicate feedback system your body has to regulate hormones, and the net result would be that your ovaries would cease to work very much but that you would continue to have hormones due to the hormones in the pills. Basically, the pills would act as birth control. Birth control pills contain a type of estrogen and a type of progesterone. Menopause medications contain a type of estrogen and a type of progesterone. So they're pretty similar. In fact, some women take birth control pills to treat menopause. But the fit isn't exact so the menopausal hormones might just mess up your system a lot, especially if you ONLY took estrogen. If you only took estrogen, then you might shut your ovaries down yet not have progesterone to balance the estrogen, and you'd get weird bleeding and raise your risk of uterine cancer.
