I have Windows 7 32 bit. Can I upgrade to 64 bit Windows 10 (since it's a free upgrade)?

Assuming that the hardware supports 64-bit. You need to backup files before switching between 32 and 64 bit. Switching requires formatting the system drive for the OS and doing a fresh install.Assuming that you are on Windows 7/8/8.1 Pro, do the following:1) Download the media creation tool from the Microsoft site2) Create the image for the associated 32-bit or 64-bit OS that you are onRemember : You can upgrade from Windows 7/8/8.1 32-bit to Windows 10 32-bitIf you need to switch from 32-bit to 64-bit, then you need to upgrade to Windows 10 32-bit, activate then format the system and install Windows 10 64-bit (Applications and data will be lost)3) Use the installer to upgradeAlso you cannot freely upgrade from Home to Pro. Can I upgrade windows 8 32-bit to 64-bit windows 8.1? My system type is 32-bit operating system, x64-based processor and my RAM is 3.00 gb

You cannot upgrade from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit OS.Or vice versa. The architectures are different thus you would have to do a Fresh install of your OS.For instance the auto upgrade from windows 8.1 and below to windows 10 uses an upgrade tool that specifically selects the same bit OS as your current OS I.e 32 bit windows 7 will upgrade to 32 bit windows 10 and the same goes for 64 bit.

How can I upgrade 32 bit Windows8 to 64 bit Windows8 ? (My windows is Pirated so I cant go on with the Upgrades from Microsoft)

To upgrade from 32-bit OS to 64-bit OS, your system must support the 64-bit architecture.  Now, since 32-bit OS and 64-bit OS are completely different OS, you can't simply upgrade from one to another. The only way I am aware of is too reinstall the operating system. To prevent data loss, either back-up your data on an external device or during installation procedure format only the partition in which your previous OS is installed, OS will be changed and your personal files in other hard disk partitions will not be affected. Except one's that were in primary partition.

How do I upgrade my computer from 32-bit to 64-bit in Windows 8?

Unfortunately I would have to go with the other answers here and say you have to do a clean install of Windows 8. However if you are going from 32 bit to 64 bit Windows because you are upgrading the amount of RAM in the system consider applying the PAE patch to Windows 8/8.1 to override the 4GB limit in Windows. You can find more about that here: Pro tip: Override the 4GB memory barrier on 32-bit Windows 8.1 systems

How do I change windows from 32 bit to 64 bit?

You can only install the Windows version that matches your processor architecture. If your processor is 32-bit, you can’t install a 64-bit Windows version, unless you change your motherboard and install a 64-bit processor. For you to know that, right-click My Computer and select System. If your processor is 64 bit, you’ll see that there, as shown below. If this screenshot shows “32-bit operating system” and “x86 processor”, you can only change your processor to a new one supporting 64-bit architecture, otherwise you can’t natively install a 64-bit version like that. It’s a hardware feature, not something you can change with a software tweak.

How do I convert (downgrade) my windows 8 64 bit to 32 bit?

A: Microsoft OS only offer upgrade or custom options, there is no “downgrade” option available. You will need to do a clean install and backup your work [convert whatever to 32bit] on 64bit OS. Then proceed to install using 32bit Windows 8 ISO image via USB/DVD.That’s the simplest explanation of doing a successful downgrade of Windows 8.

How do I install Windows 8.1 64 bit over Windows 7 32 bit?

To install a 64 bit version of Windows you must have an 64 bit CPU.If you are not sure about this, press Windows+Break on your keyboard. In "System Type" you will read "32-bit Operating System". If after this there is "x64-based processor" then your CPU is 64 bit.Now the problem is that you can't install a 64 bit version of Windows over a 32 bit. So the only possible solution is a clean install. But if your CPU is 32 bit you CAN'T install a x64 version of Windows. Try installing the 32 bit version or upgrade your CPU.

How do I install windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit?

Hello, I had windows 7 64-bit installed on my pc but wanted to do a reformat, so I grabbed my CD and refromatted my pc. But it was the 32-bit one, so I thought, I'll just buy the new windows 8 to get my 64-bit again because I was kinda tired of Windows 7. I installed windows 8.1 pro with the installer of the company itself wich didn't let me choose between 64 or 32 bit, so it installed 32-bit on my pc because it already detected it was 32-bit (windows 7 32-bit installed). Is there a way to get 64-bit windows 8.1 pro on my pc now?

Help will be greatly appreciated!
