Can I Use An Acoustic Guitar To Play Rocksmith

Will an acoustic guitar work with the real tone cable in Rocksmith 2014?

Yes, you actually have an acoustic-electric and that will work with Rocksmith. The only weird thing will be when you are playing a song with lots of distortion and you hear the acoustic tone from your guitar. Crank up the volume on your TV or surround sound so you hear it more than the acoustic tone.

Rocksmith 2014 with acoustic-electric?

Hi. I have a Yamaha apx500ii and was wondering will this work with Rocksmith and if so, do I need any extra accessories or add ons to make it work. I'm a beginner at guitar and know very little about them. I asked different people and they said I need pickups and stuff. And if I do need a pickup, which one. My guitar has a smaller "sound hole". I guess because it is an electric-acoustic. Thanks.

How to install rocksmith guitar?

Will rocksmith help me play my electric guitar better?

Anything that makes you play the guitar, and play new stuff, is good. But Rocksmith is one of the least effecient ways of improving! Play it for fun if you like. Don't kid yourself it's as good as real lessons, real practice.

Can I play Rocksmith with a Cort L100F NS?

It's an acoustic guitar has a tuner and supports loudspeaker (I don't know what it's specifically called) can be connected with realtone cable, but will my guitar still sounds when i play rocksmith? Because the sound will be doubled, from my guitar and from rocksmith

How can I learn guitar through Rocksmith?

Go through the lessons and practice a lot, play songs to get used to different techniques, chords, etc.You can practice speed, soloing, tempo, and many other things with session mode, and strengthen your techniques with guitar arcade. In short learn the techniques offered in the lessons and practice them according to your level, also when you feel like you're ready start LEARNING (not just playing in Rocksmith) whole songs, that's where the heart is after all. Also make sure to get your questions answered by searching the internet or asking other people, for Rocksmith is good but not perfect. If possible get Rocksmith 2014, it's better than the first one.

Which guitars work good with and are compatible with Rocksmith 2014?

Any guitar at all. But that won’t be your problem.I got Rocksmith (I think the second version, it might be 2014 or 2015, but I think it’s 2014), it sounded fun and I wanted to see if it could be used as a real training tool.To get the training thing out of the way, as supplement, it’s fun and can be interesting. But as a core training tool, absolutely not. You’re essentially using the guitar as a substitute for the controller, and fixating on the screen, twitch-responding to visuals. That’s not going to do anything for you at all in a real performance situation. That said, the biggest problem with Rocksmith was the latency between your playing and the game. For me, it was completely unplayable; when you got going the lag could be half a second, which made the songs impossible.I fixed this completely by running my guitar into my POD, then running one line out to an amp (any amp is fine I used my Marshall MG50 since wheeling my half stack into the living room might have been an issue), and the other line out, via the dongle that comes with the game, to the XBox. Then I turned the in-game guitar volume all the way down.So now, I was hearing my guitar in real time through amp, and the game was still getting the input guitar signal, perfectly clean (no effects etc, which is recommended) through the POD.This fixed it because the inbound signal from the guitar to the XBox is fine, so the game is hearing you in more or less real time (so it can react to your playing properly etc). But the outbound signal, after the game adds the effects and all that, was way too slow. But since you turned that outbound guitar signal all the way down, you don’t hear it anymore, all you hear is the song and your amp, which is more or less in sync.Any that’s my time with Rocksmith (which I haven’t fired up in a year at least I think).

My guitar doesn't have a preamp, which acoustic guitar pick up works with Rocksmith 2014 on Xbox one?

I have never used Rocksmith but I read through their website to help answer your question.  The answer is -- any pickup is going to work with Rocksmith.  You don't need to fuss about pre-amps.  Consider that many electric guitarists plug into the 'Rocksmith Real Tone Cable' with passive pickups (Strats, Telecasters, etc.).  Rocksmith has a bunch of virtual gear to change your sound within the program / game.  There are two options.  The one I don't recommend is having a pickup installed in your guitar.  I don't recommend this because it diminishes the value of the guitar once it's cut into.  If it didn't come already installed, chances are the guitar is built for a good tone that could change quite a bit if you start drilling and installing pickup units. The option I recommend is to get a sound-hole pickup.  These sit in the sound-hole of your guitar and are not permanent.  You can leave them in or you can take them out with ease.  This won't permanently change your guitar.I did a bit of a search for what's cooking in sound-hole pickups and you can pay as little as $40 for a Duncan Performer Maverick to higher end EMG acoustic pickups for $200.  While I really love EMG pickups, you won't need nor be able to appreciate their $200 model.  I would suggest that a Dean Markley pickup for $70 is a great choice that will have applications after you are through with Rocksmith. My one word of caution is not to use a clip-on pickup.  These just clamp onto the headstock of the guitar and pickup the sound through vibrations.  It's a really cheap solution with equally cheap results.  Get something that either sits in the sound hole or can be affixed under the bridge.Best of luck!
