Why do I get sick after I workout?

Well, my first thought is WHERE are you working out. If it is a public gym or maybe a school gym I doubt that people always use those alcohol wipes after they work out. Sick people exercise too. Keep some sort of liquid hand sanitizing stuff on you so you can wipe down what you work out on. Maybe you are catching something from lack of proper hand washing. I'm not saying that you are unsanitary or anything like that, but germs can be on the weirdest things that you don't consider. Wash your hand well after you workout and try to avoid touching your nose, mouth, eyes, and other open areas of your skin while you work out. Hope this helps. It's always best to talk to your family doctor about it. There could be several contributing issues, including your immune system.

Why do I get sick when I work out?

You may be over doing it. Try slowly conditioning yourself. It is not uncommon to feel nauseous after over exertion. Your body needs to be able to adapt to an increase in activity demand. If you are sweating a lot, be sure to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration, however, make sure that you are also replenishing your electrolytes as you go. If you were drinking a lot of water when exercising, it may have only been able to slosh around in your stomach, unable to be absorbed right away. This can make you feel nauseous. A trick that ultra athletes use is to eat a low salt diet in general, and when you exercise and sweat profusely, replenish your salts as you replenish your fluids, to prevent hyponatremia. Drink a sports drink moderately as you exercise, or eat a few salty pretzels with your water. But mostly, condition your body and intensify your workouts gradually.

After i got blood work i feel sick?

Not knowing why the blood draw was needed it is difficult to say that your sick feeling is caused by illness or just the blood draw.

Chances are you haven't had enough water since the blood draw. Not knowing how much blood you lost, it is hard to say, but you need to drink sufficient water to replace the volume lost. Not soda or coffee.

You could drink a glass and go get some sleep. Take an aspirin. Lay on your left side. Just getting in that position should help b/c your heart doesn't have to work so hard getting the blood circulated.

You should be fine in the morning.

Edit:
Fever? not a normal reaction to a blood draw. You should give the doctor a call and let him/her know. Do you know what blood tests were being run? Sometimes that can be a clue.

Stick with water, soda crackers, 7-Up, and maybe chicken noodle soup for another day or two. Eight hours of sleep, or more. Tylenol for fever and headache, but NOT within four hours of seeing your doctor again. (Distorts the physical exam in the office.)

Why do I feel so sick after I work out?

It is totally worth it....or I wouldn't be doing it a second time. I suffered from Hypermesis Gravedarum - extreem morning (all day) sickness. The constant throwing up made the "normal" pains so much worse, I thought I would die. By the time I was about 12 weeks I had been in the hospital twice for dehydration, and was finally medicated. Yet, here I am 7 weeks and 4 days with my second, and again, sick as a dog. But there is such joy in me when I hold my daughter, and when she is silly, or crazy, even when she is a little demon. Loving her so much has mad me crazy to love another. Hang in there, that first snuggle, the first smile, it is worth all of the suffering. Give up a year to gain a lifetime.... Best of luck to you.

Should I still workout even if I feel sick?

This is a very complex question and the answer can be quite nuanced. The general answer is NO. Rest. However, if you are a little bit sick, and you still WANT to do something, it’s possible to do something light. For example, I wouldn’t let a headache stop me lifting, but if it got worse, I’d stop. Or maybe I’d aim for slightly lower weights. If I had a sore leg, I can train arms.Vomiting etc… better to rest until you feel better.Slight cold … sometimes a bit of gentle exercise can be beneficial. If you’re properly sick, you won’t want to exercise - so don’t. Easy.If you are feeling well enough to exercise, you’re probably not that sick and might be OK ‘for a bit’. Go and see your friends, do a bit of mobility work etc.One to avoid is running (or other intense aerobic exercise) with a sore throat or a cough. Only going to make it worse. A gentle stroll is OK.If you have GI problems, avoid swimming and swallowing a few pints of dodgy water. Should not be a difficult problem to work out.Listen to your body, but if you’re unsure, take a day’s rest.

I get sick of my job every year and then I change it. I work in tech. What is wrong with me?

I quit my job almost 6 years back when I landed in the U.S., and have been on an H4 visa. I recently got an EAD work permit.I couldn’t think of the same tech job again, I couldn’t see it the same way as I saw it before, I understood that my priorities and likings have changed and I accepted this wholeheartedly.I will tell you about the differences between three important words - Job, Career and Calling.Job is something that we do when we graduate from college and university. Career is when you branch out with some experience - for example you could become a SME or Manager or become a trainer.Calling is something which you are drawn to from within and this will never bore you at all. You will do this effortlessly. You will shine your light bright while doing it. When you understand your calling — the purpose of your life — you will be natural and fearless. If you get bored because you are not finding your work interesting any more, you can learn some mindfulness techniques, meditate, and involve yourself in different activities to make life more enjoyable.Monotonous work is very common in the tech industries and employees should feel taken care of and there should be a culture of nurturing in an organization to help balance people.Try to break up the monotony at work by doing all the things that interest you. For example, I used to go around to friends’ cubicles jumping around and singing and I was one of the most proactive people in the team.Play fun games with your team, walk together during lunch and discuss openly with trusted friends. If they feel similar to you, try to come up with ways to stay motivated together. You are in a phase where you will soon learn your life’s purpose. All the best in your journey.May your inner wisdom guide you.

Is it normal to feel sick the day after a hard work out?

Yes, actually it is normal to feel the muscles aching. I remember back when I was doing conditioning for soccer that since I got there the 4th day they were running more. Instead of 1 lap they ran 4 that day. I got stuck immediately doing the 4 laps instead of working up to 4 laps [which they had]. At the time I didn't feel it, but the weekend right after that was a problem. Even after the weekend the pain didn't fully go away...had to drag myself to practices, which actually helps. The more that you sit around after such a hard workout, the harder to get up it gets. So try to at least walk around a bit to make sure this doesn't happen to you. During the whole weekend it was hard to walk. Icing really helps, so to do that, as your muscles are rebuilding themselves after a hard workout.
> The feeling sick and faint does not sound normal, however I have never experienced this. I would say that maybe you pushed it a little too far too fast. It's possible that you dehydrated. I'm not sure. Things you can do to help yourself however are drink fluids mostly instead of solids for now, try eating only a little bit, and ice those muscles!
If the feeling of sickness does not go away soon, I would suggest maybe seeing a doctor? Although it may have just been you didn't eat well beforehand, which you should before practices, and could explain the dizziness and faintness.
Remember though, liquids first, soft things, then solids..

After i work out, i always get sick!! why is that?

how do you get sick? by vomiting???? When are you working out? In the morning after you got up? Well make sure you eat a few crackers not to many and a glass water, then do your workout. If you do it in the afternoon, you might are tiered already and you body is overworked. Never excises until you feel sick. do everything in a routine but not like a marathon. Make sure you drink plenty of water during excises so you don't get dehydrated and drink a plenty afterwards ,water my dear not coffee, tea or beer.
