Can my daughter get SSI disability for having spina bifida occulta??

i have spina bifida manifesta (shown or apparent)
a person with occulta although visibly normal that has spina bifida may find it difficult to obtain benefits ..the courts see it as "ok you can function in society why do you need benefits?"
i myself no longer receive benefits for the simple reason, they "claim" my hubby makes too much money....i really wish they could see how our bills pile up and then tell me he makes too much money...you and i both know bills dont wait but you can only stretch one paycheck so far before it begins to scream.

Can a child recieve ssi for having growth hormone deficiency?

SSI is a federal welfare benefit for low income disabled, blind or aged individuals who have not paid in enough to be eligible for social security. You must meet the income and asset limits along with having a disability that is recognized by social security.
If your family is low enough income with very little assets then your child may qualify.

SSI benefits for preemie baby?

More then likely you won't get backpay. The reason why is the bulk of that money is going to the hospital since they are the one caring and homing your infant at the moment. The same thing happens for anyone with a disability that is placed in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living complex. The $30 dollars are for "extras" that aren't provided by the environment she's in. For adults on SSI things like soda or junk food the odd DVD etc.
Realisticly the only person who can tell you what's truly going on with your daughter's situation and if you'll recieve any kind of backpay would be her caseworker. However if you were going to get backpay you wouldn't be getting the $30 dollars a month for her right now, you would have gotten a bulk payment back to when you filed for benefits.
