Can Over Sleeping Be Making My Head Feel Strange

Roller coaster feeling while trying to sleep.?

Today, when I tried to sleep I felt like I was on a roller coaster getting launched. It's an odd feeling, any tips on how to make it go away? And what causes it?

I'm a big roller coaster junkie, and I rode many today, could my body still be out of whack from it?

Why do my eyes feel strange? Woozy and dizzy feeling.?

This has been happening for a while now but I would like to know what is causing it.

Its a weird feeling and hard to describe it.

I can't focus my eyes some times its like they are jumping back and forth in their sockets. I feel all lightheaded and woozy.

I'm also so tired all the time. I can sleep til 10 am and them at 5 pm I'm ready to go back to bed. I don't usually sleep so late though and feel like I absolutely have to have a nap around lunch time.

At first I thought I was just being super lazy but it feels like I can't force myself to move. I have already been diagnosis with depression and know that probably doesn't help.

I'm a college student and have a part time job, but I just don't think it would be causing me to feel dizzy and disoriented all the time. I would just like to know so I can stop the dizziness.

Many thanks in advance!

I haven't slept in a while, I feel strange and I can't think clearly. What will happen to me?

Sleep deprivation will make you all types of crazy. But, there's a wonderful cure for sleep deprivation: sleeping!Prolonged sleep deprivation or extreme lack of sleep can harm you over time, but unless you're weeks without sleep you should be fine when you wake up.

Can eating raw onion make you tired, sleep, feel like crap?

I know, & like Irene, I'm a big raw onion fan.........I like garlic too, but cooked or as a sauce, not raw. Anyways, both raw onions & garlic have a hypoglycemic & hypotensive effect, which basically means that they lower ur blood sugar & pressure, which is why they r so beneficial in people with high blood sugar or pressure.........unfortunately, they have the same powerful effect in normal people too, which is why u get to feel tired, sleepy, even dizzy due to the rapid lowering of sugar levels in ur blood, which in turn lowers ur normal activity levels. Happens to me too. Just try to not eat too much of it or if u must, opt for cooked or grilled. Also try eating something sweet afterwards next time & see if u feel better. Usually works somewhat for me.

Why do we feel ill when we oversleep?

This might be overstepping my area of expertise, but I asked the same question of a neurologist once during a dinner party (she was genuinely surprised that I live and lived off 4h sleep since high school and didn't believe that I was able to sustain that lifestyle into my 30s. I was, and am, so take her answer with the same grain of salt). She explained that it's largely a rapid drop in blood sugar after eight hours of sleeping that leads to the "oversleeping hangover". Your stomach is empty, your blood sugar is low, and over the past few hours your body has been operating on lowered levels of oxygen. This leads to an overall slowed down metabolism with difficulties jumping back into action as you get up since no "fast fuel" is available. She recommended drinking a large glass of water and eating some fruit on getting up to minimize that.

Why does NyQuil make me feel strange?

I took NyQuil last night and now I feel very weird. I can't feel my body and can barely hold anything with my hands because I can't feel them. It's like when your "leg falls asleep" but to my whole body and without the pain. I also feel like a different person. As if my body is possessed and someone else is moving my body.

Can oversleeping cause dizziness?

I don't think oversleeping can cause dizziness. The cause of dizziness may be something as simple as standing up too quickly, or it could indicate a more serious infection.
We have all suffered from it at one point or another; the room starts to spin or one feels strangely light-headed. These symptoms are commonly known as dizziness. They can be either harmless or a symptom of an underlying problem.
Feeling dizzy is not an illness, but a symptom of something else. It is often the result of an inner ear infection. If there are problems with the inner ear, then one may feel dizzy. The inner ear is responsible for balance, and the labyrinth may become infected. This throws off the sufferer's co-ordination and balance, resulting in frequent dizziness.
There are many ailments that can bring about the symptom of dizziness, including heart circulation problems and irregular blood flow. High or low blood pressure can often bring on a bout of dizziness.
Blood flow is a major factor in bouts of light-headedness. If there is not enough blood flowing to the head, dizziness may result. For example, when you stand up too quickly or have eaten a heavy meal, you may feel dizzy. This is because blood pressure has fallen sharply. In these cases, the condition should only be temporary.
Other ailments or illnesses that cause dizziness include low blood sugar, fevers and stress. A simple head injury can cause dizziness. Depression and certain phobias, such as agoraphobia, can also bring on a bout of dizziness.
Anxiety or panic attacks are usually accompanied by a bout of dizziness. The room may begin to feel as if it is spinning when a panic attack occurs. This may be because breathing quickens and too much oxygen reaches the brain.

“What causes that awful feeling after waking up from an afternoon nap?”Hey, wonderful question.I have also always wondered what caused me to sometimes sleep so little and feel amazingly pumped and then sometimes sleep long and feel like a piece of shit… Your question motivated me to research about this topic in depth. Imagine doing something you love and getting disturbed midway. I am sure its gonna piss the shit out of you. Well, that is the same with sleeping. We should always aim at waking up before the first stage of our sleep. This is generally 10–20 minutes. (Dehydration, surrounding, etc.). These also play a pretty important part in our sleep.I recommend that next time you go to sleep, put your alarm to ring in only 10–20 minutes.
