How can people see what I search for on Twitter?

Is there anyway people can find out if you look at their Twitter page and Tweets very frequently? Please read?
I don't have a Twitter account but I've been visiting the guy I likes public twitter page everyday for the past few months. A few days ago he wrote on his Twitter that there is nothing to see there, and then I found out that he changed his account, his username and made his account private. I've been told that there is NO way people can find out if you look at their public twitter pages and you yourself don't have an account...but this coincidence just seems to big to me. What's your opinion?? Do you think there was another reason for his changing his account and making it private? ...or is there a chance he found out I've been looking at his page so frequently? Like could he have tracked my IP address or something? Thanks..for any knowledge on the matter you are able to share with me. Please only polite and honest answers. I feel so awful right now and he and I know each other really well so if he knows I've been stalking him I almost feel like I should apologize even though that would be really embarrassing. But I don't want to do that if he doesn't know!!!!!!! So what's your opinion??

Actually, there isn’t a way to do this.If people interact (liking, retweeting or replying to tweets, or adding you to a Twitter List) with your account, you can see that they have probably viewed your Tweets, but really, there’s no way to monitor who sees your Tweets or Twitter account. You may be thinking of LinkedIn, which gets creepy in reporting to us who has seen our LinkedIn profiles (when logged in, in non-incognito mode), but in Twitter, people have no way of knowing that you viewed their Tweets.
Will people know you viewed their profile on twitter?
No same with Facebook you can not tell if some one is on your profile. Some times you can see how many page views you have had in that day but it does not tell you who as looked on your profile. Only time someone will know if you have been on there wall is if you Add or follow them and did not mean to then they get the notification saying new follower and its you. Hope it helps
