Can Sims 3 Operate On Laptop

Why won't sims 3 work on my laptop?

Have you played any other High graphic rendering games on that computer?

Most games fail to launch because of graphics card.

Quick fix: try changing your screen resolution, check device manager to see if your VGA drivers are upto date.

Of you are sure your system meets the game requirement and still won't play, then maybe the Operating system is missing some files, but not likely

I don't think it will, but is there anything I can buy to make the Sims 3 go fast and work - this notebook/laptop is ideal for me (small, light weight, cheap etc) I don't want to buy one and then the Sims 3 won't work on it.

What laptop can run the Sims 3 succesfully?

Any time you are looking at a computer in a store, or online, they will list the Specs, or technical specifications of the computer. If you are looking at a laptop online that you want to purchase, and the site has a price but no technical specs available... look somewhere else!

What do those specs mean? That could take a while to explain. The great part, is that you don't need to know what they mean, to be able to use them to your advantage.

If you look at the specs of a computer you are interested in, it will list what the processor is, and it's speed. You can then look at your numbers there that pertain to the Sims 3. If the computer you are looking at has a processor speed that is equal to or greater than that "2.4ghz P4 Processor or equivalent" that you have typed in your details, then the computer you are looking at meets that criteria. you can check that off the list.
The specs will tell you how much RAM the computer you are looking at has. It will list it as such, and refer to it as RAM. If the amount of RAM this computer has, is greater than the "1.5gb RAM" you have listed there in the details, then you can check THAT off the list, and move to the next detail.
You see how this works?
You browse for a computer that catches your eye with price or looks.
You READ the specifications.
you Compare the specifications to the minimum requirements you have there before you, for the game you want to play. When you come up on a specification that does not meet or exceed a requirement, you forget that laptop, and move on to the next. It is that simple.

It is not important that you know what a Pixel Shader is, and why it has to be version 2.0. All that matters is that your laptop should have a video card that is at LEAST as good as one with 128mb of Video RAM, and supports Pixel Shader 2.0. You will see references to that, to different levels of detail, in the specs you see in each laptop.

It is not just a jumble of numbers and stuff. The game designer even listed the system requirements in THE SAME ORDER that the laptop manufacturers will list the specifications... Processor, Memory, Video Card, Operating System, Drive Space.

Otherwise, if you just want to not learn for yourself, and you just want someone to point to a laptop at Best Buy and say "Buy That." then....
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...
Buy that.

I have an HP Pavilion touch smart laptop. Can I run The Sims 3/4 smoothly or will I need to upgrade something?

Sims 4PC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: Internet connection required for product activation.OS: Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, or Windows 8.1PROCESSOR: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent (For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 or equivalent)MEMORY: At least 2 GB RAMHARD DRIVE: At least 9 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved gamesDVD-ROM: DVD ROM drive required for installation onlyVIDEO CARD: 128 MB of Video RAM and support for Pixel Shader 3.0. Supported Video Cards: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better, ATI Radeon X1300 or better, Intel GMA X4500 or betterSOUND CARD: DirectX 9.0c CompatibleDIRECTX: DirectX 9.0c compatibleINPUT: Keyboard and MouseSims 32.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent.1.5 GB RAM.128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0.Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1.At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games. This is the minimum requirements, I would need to know more in order to know if it would run smoothly.  There are many versions of the smart touch laptop.  Although most the specs on the touch smart laptops I have seen will run the Sims 3 ok, but not the Sims 4.

Will the Sims 3 slow down my laptop? Will I be able to uninstall it completely if it makes my laptop slow?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-21I.
I have tested to see if it meets the requirements on canurunit.com and another similar website.
CanURunIt said I meet all the requirements except for RAM, it says I need 1.5GB and that I have 1.9GB but I don't understand because it's saying I have more RAM than needed so why don't I meet the requirements?
The other website I used said I meet all the requirements.

I've had my laptop for less than a year and I've always been careful with what I download and install on it etc. I have never installed a CD on it before and when I am no-longer using something that I have downloaded, I uninstall it.
I have put a DVD in the CD Drive before and it made this really load roaring noise (like the fan on overload or something); it was so loud that I couldn't hear what the people were saying on the DVD and I was getting a bit worried about it so I took it out of the CD Drive.
(when I say "CD Drive", I mean a disk drive that accepts both CD-Roms and DVDs).
I'm worried that if I put the Sims 3 CD into my laptop, it might make the really loud noise.

I do also have a desktop computer but it's eight years old and extremely slow (so slow that I actually stuck a rosette on the monitor saying "Crowned The Slowest Of All").
I am thinking of uninstalling everything on my desktop PC and "rebooting" it so that it starts again as though it's new.
I'd prefer it if I could play the Sims 3 on my laptop as I have been considering moving my desktop PC into my loft (it's being refurbished) or garage. Both of which are a bit awkward and I'd rather be able to move to different areas in my house whilst playing the game as I would with my laptop.

--------------------------------------...
I KNOW THIS IS LONG AND MAYBE BORING TO READ BUT PLEASE AT LEAST READ BELOW.

If I bought the Sims 3 and installed it on my laptop and if it was slow etc. and if it sort of messed up my laptop and then if I were to uninstall it completely from my laptop and try installing it on my desktop computer instead (once it has been rebooted), would my laptop be recovered since I would have uninstalled the Sims 3 or would it still suffer the effects even though I have removed it?

Basically, if the Sims 3 made my laptop slow, could I uninstall it so that my laptop is completely back to it's high-speed-ness again?

Thank you. I really hope I can get the Sims 3 with no problems.

Please tell me if the sims 3 will run on this laptop :)

What’s a good laptop that will run Sims 3 and will work for college stuff? My budget is up to $650.

This Acer Aspire should get the job done for you. Basically what I looked for was a laptop that was between 13–15 inches (not to small but fits in a backpack), had 8 GB of RAM and an SSD (makes regular use feel quick and smooth), and had a somewhat competent CPU and GPU for Sims 3 (the i5 and integrated graphics should get the job done with some settings tweaks).Amazon says they only have 2 left, so don't take too long to make a decision.Have fun in college!https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspi...
